Brought 2005 vehicle in to have windshield wiper motor replaced. Dropped off in the evening, during business hours. I called the next morning at 09:41 to check on status. Service rep said they couldnt find the part. I know that was a lie and nobody searched for the part. I called the OReilly auto parts store across the street and found the necessary parts in less than 5 minutes. Service rep then pointed out many other repairs that could be made, but not necessary. They had the car for 7 business hours, pus overnight and charged me $146 for the diagnostic...search for unnecessary repairs. I called Hennens automotive in Shakopee and they quoted me $450 vs the quote from Youngstedts of $921. I then brought the car to Hennens, they did a quick check and made the repair...sans the unnecessary repairs for $297, a savings of over $600 AND the repair was made in less than an hour. i didnt need to leave it with them for hours/overnight,. Hennens is forthright, honest and works to save the customer money. I also dont think the SA at Youngstedts even listened to me when I was discussing the repair. I said I was starting a new job (that day), which I couldnt make due to car issue. I was also looking and starting a new job as I needed the money and didnt need a huge auto bill for unnecessary repairs. If I I brought the car to Hennens initially, I would have been able to make it to my first day at work. SA didnt hear this or seem to care. He just wanted a large repair ticket. Super disappointing and I will NOT go back to Youngstedts.

Dan is a really patient and genuine guy. I accidentally caused an issue with timing and location and they patiently corrected my mistake without frustration.

Had a great first experience here. Needed my spark plugs replaced, they were able to schedule me when I needed, and gave me an out the door quote that included parts labor and tax (and cost was about half what the dealership quoted me). Everyone I talked to was kind and courteous. Service was done in a timely manner, waiting area very comfortable. Didn’t try to sell me anything I don’t need. They even reattached my bumper when I ran into the curb pulling in like a dummy. Will be able and definitely recommend!

Had a problem with the battery not being charged up got a new battery from Youngstedts still wouldn’t charge up, got a warranty battery still wouldn’t charge up. Took it to Bobby and Steve’s and they found the battery cables needed replacement and now works fine.Had a transmission problem, was told it couldn’t be fixed. Took it to Bloomington Chrysler had it fixed and back in three days.Just not the place it used to be.

Crooks, they have repeatedly misguided my fiancé and made her feel like she needed to buy services and repairs that she didn’t need.Today, I called ahead to both verify we had hazard insurance on our recent tire purchase as one was leaking, they verified we had the coverage and set up an appointment.During the appointment I watched the assistant manager rip off an unknowing female, charging over $600 for an oil change, an unneeded oil “flush”, and a thermostat. They wrecked one of my lugs with their impact, asked if I would like to replace it for $6. Without wanting to argue I agreed.During checkout I was billed $33.50, $25 for the tire repair in which I had already brought to this guys attention that I had the coverage, and $8.50 for a $6 lugnut. Either they put a $2 installation fee on there or they charge at an unheard of tax rate. They corrected the repair charge after reminding them that I already paid them for the insurance.The point is that the assistant manager/service writer is everything people should watch out for when they are getting their car repaired, and to make it worse he hides it behind a smile and politeness. Don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes.

My tire light came on while I was driving through Chanhassen so I asked Google to direct me to the nearest mechanic. I was greeted with a smile and they managed to fit me into their full schedule within the hour while I waited in their very nice lounge area. My tire was patched for under $30 and the other tires were also checked before they sent me on my way again. I would definitely return in the future.

Yesterday on my way home from work I had an issue with my car that left me stranded on the side of the highway. I could see this shop from where my car stopped and decided to walk there to see if they could help. When I walked in, the shop was busy; but when I explained what happened to Shawn he immediately offered assistance despite the fact that the repair I needed would cost very little. The staff is friendly and nice, you couldnt ask for a better place to take your vehicle. I took my vehicle to Walmart for an oil change and they cross threaded my drain plug. The oil slowly leaked on my drive way, so I took it to Youngstedts to get the work done. The oil pan and gasket had to get replaced, so Ill never take my vehicle to Walmart again. The technicians work efficiently and had knowledge to get the repair done. The cost was reasonable and thats why I take my vehicle to Youngstedts.

If you are going to them for tires, fine. Anything that needs diagnostics like figuring out why your washer fluid isn’t coming out or why your tail light fuse keeps blowing, do not bother. Three times I went in for the fuse blowing and once for the washer fluid problem, spent $334.89 before I took it to a friends shop and he figured it out ten minutes and fixed it in five.

I’ve been going here for a number of years, thought they were friendly and helpful, until they quoted me $800 for repairs and regular maintenance. I am more than willing to pay for what my car needs but this seemed too much. Thankfully I got a second opinion from Luther Hopkins Honda. Turns out I didn’t need a CV axel boot. I just needed a new clamp that was a fraction of the cost. So I saved $600. Moral of the story, get a second opinion from your dealership.

I pulled up with a flat tire, but they were booked up. When I was trying to figure something out, the night manager Shaun Plotnik, came up and said he could put my spare tire on so I could leave my tire overnight and come back to pick it up. I can not recommend this location and Shaun enough for going of his way to help me. Thank you very much!

I recently had a 70,000 mile tune up and check up done at Youngstedts. This isnt my first experience with them, so my expectations were high. They dont disappoint. Their customer service is friendly, highly professional, and their work excellent. Im glad to have a place to have my vehicle serviced where I can always be confident of a high standard of professionalism and quality.

I have a sticker for the carwash and i LOVE the new vacuums!! 1000x better than the vacs before. Crazy strong suction, the nozzles are a great shape now and the overall set up makes it so much easier to vacuum both sides of my vehicle.

I cannot recommend doing business with Dan at this Chan store. They will over charge you and then get diffensive about it. I simply asked for the diagnostic to be applied to the total charge and Dan said he would not and had been doing it for 29 years. Just because youve been overcharging for that long doesnt make it right.If you need something go see Nick at the Waconia Youngstedts store. Theyve treated me much better.

We have used this company since we moved to Eden Prairie in 2017. However, with each ensuing visit we got more and more uncomfortable with their business practices. Since September 2018, we have paid this company well over $2,000 for brakes alone and now I have friend who is telling me that my ABS wires look like they have been cut. Of course, this company has an explanation for everything, knowing that most of us wont crawl under our car, nor will we understand what we see under there. I cant prove anything, but I cant trust them. Everything they tell me seems like a cover-up and scam. I do not recommend that you do business with them. Proceed at your own risk.

After coming to this auto shop for many years, Ive given up having them servicing my vehicle for the forseeable future. Ive been to many auto shops throughout Minnesota, and the quotes here have always been one of the highest. Each time I take my car in for a problem, they often call me back about another unrelated problem that will cost an arm and a leg to fix. Ive had them quoted me for head gasket replacement, wind shield wiper motor replacement, brake pads replacement, fluid flushing, oil change, etc. throughout the years. I had them do the work due to convenience of location, and I think they are overall nice people.The last straw was when I last asked them to swap out my regular tires for winter tires. They called me back and said one of the tires lug nut was stuck to the stud due to erosion, and removing the tire could break the stud and collapse the car. He advised me to replace the stud, but it would cost me roughly $500 for just this replacement. Already outraged, I told him to change the other 3 tires, and I took my car to another shop to have a second opinion. Although true that the stud was eroded that caused the nut to stuck, it costed me about $90 to have the stud replaced and the one tire changed at another shop I trusted.I advise readers to always get a second or third opinion whenever you believe the quotes are absurd.

After I told them what I believed should be replaced, they disagreed with me and told me it was something else. So them being the professionals I believed them. After I picked my car up the same problem still happened. Brought it back and said it was still happening, but then they lied to me that they fixed it and my car broke again before I picked it up. They then replaced what I originally told them to. After paying for both repairs, and $750 later it was finally fixed. If they would have replaced what I told them to the first time, it would have been $550 cheaper!!

This place is responsible for the worst experience Ive ever had with any business. Their service is terribly unprofessional. After voicing my disapproval to a few people, I found four other people in my circle of family / friends that share similar experiences. A coworker of mine even had a wheel fall OFF 30 miles after a servicing there, because the lugs didnt get tightened at all on that wheel, (which I feel is a somewhat important step). If youre tire shopping, consider Discount Tire or Costco. Dont subject yourself to the headaches that this dump will inevitably cause you.

Don’t bother going here if you need a small repair on your tires. They won’t even take the time to listen. They have more business than they can handle.

Had a six pack of alcohol in the truck bed, picked up the truck and there were only two left. At some point in their possession (I picked it up hours after being towed there) someone helped themselves. Incredibly unprofessional! luckily it was just alcohol but I would not trust this company with any vehicle again.

My car was brought to Chanhassen Youngstedts for mechanical repairs after hitting a curb. The rear work on the car was completed and then it was determined there was front damage upon performing an alignment. The insurance company rejected further repairs and wanted to total the car. We decided to take a buyout from the insurance company and pay for the front repairs. We took it to a different auto repair place, where we felt more comfortable, for those repairs . Upon inspection, we were informed that Youngstedts did not do the work on the rear that they said they did and charged us for. The car was missing parts and had other broken parts that were not mentioned and made the car nearly impossible to drive. I dont know what shenanigans were going on there but its not a place I would ever trust or go to again.

Im always 100% satisfied with the work and all the friendly employees! If there is a problem, Dan or Duane will do their best to fix it. I enjoy my visits!

Have never, ever paid this much for a battery replacement before. My receipt only had a number and says nothing about the battery information and when I asked all they told me takes a big special one. Dont go in it you are female they treat you like dont know anything.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!! A one star rating is being rather generous. This place deserves nothing other than a Closed for Business sign. I think everyone at some point in their life has had trouble with a car repair place but let me tell you this place takes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies all at once for sheer incompetence and money grabbing. I will never give Goodyear Chanhassen my business ever again. I cant even begin to describe the financial disaster these people were for me in the last year. Ill be perfectly honest with you this place has destroyed the life of my vehicle. Dan the manager is about as incompetent as they come and one of the front desk people (Duane) is an arrogant slob that is completely indifferent to his job. There is zero care given at this shop. Its purely a get them in, get them out, and charge as much as you can place. They dont listen, they dont truly diagnose, they just hack away and run up the bill. I used this place mistakenly due to convenience but now after THOUSANDS in repair costs I have to take my vehicle much further to the dealership for quality and competent work. This is the WORST place you could possibly find yourself bringing your vehicle into. Unless youre a fan of both throwing money away AND dealing with incompetence I suggest you first ask a Second grader at the local elementary school to look over your vehicle first....youd get better results.01/18/2018 - Update - I thought it would be important to give an update on this. I took my SUV back to the FORD Dealership (Apple Ford Shakopee) where I bought it a few years back to have them fix ALL the issues I left the Goodyear with (diming lights, and a check engine light that came on directly AFTER I left Goodyear.) It turns out the battery that Goodyear put in my truck was a defective battery. I was charged $300 from Goodyear for diagnostic and that defective battery. When I left the Goodyear all the problems I brought it in for were still going on PLUS the check engine light came on and it was running worse than before. FORD found that the battery they put in wouldnt hold a charge and that I needed to replace a solenoid. FORD took the invoice/receipt I had from Goodyear and offered to contact them, send a runner up to get a replacement and put the replacement battery in. Goodyear refused to do this and demanded that I bring my vehicle back to them and that THEY put a new battery in. Needless to say that wasnt going to happen. First of all why would I take my vehicle back to them when they did shoddy work in the first place and secondly does that make ANY kind of sense? I mean if my my truck is not working and at a different repair shop what did they expect me to do exactly? Was I supposed to pay FORD for their time and then have my vehicle towed to Goodyear? Needless to say FORD was unimpressed with the issues THEY encountered with Goodyear and they ended up doing me a favor. They replaced the solenoid and they replaced the bad battery and gave me a MASSIVE discount on parts and labor, they even gave me a free oil change. My SUV now runs correctly. THAT is what customer service SHOULD BE. THAT is how you gain REPEAT customers. AGAIN AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS and if you want good service I DO recommend Shakopee Apple Ford......Thanks for nothing BadYear
