Have nothing but rave reviews for the whole team at Viking. They brought my VW back from the verge of death a few months ago at more than fair pricing. I cannot recommend them enough in this area.

I started taking my BMW to Viking about 10-12 years ago & believe they are responsible for keeping it running as well as it does. A couple of years ago I started taking my other German make & it has been running like a charm. Bottom line JB & team are absolute rock stars...not only do they fix things...they care!

Quality Independent Shop with competitive pricing. Went here to save money from high dealership pricing. Water pump replacement and cooling system service was excellent. I also had strut replacement service done here - they received a parts discounts from supplier that saved on my repair cost. Recommended.

The owner has put the sign board saying foreign auto repair experts to confuse the customers from foreign auto services. When I went here, the owner responded me very rudely and disrespectfully.Verry bad people and place!

This was my first time using Viking Auto. I have a BMW328i and my transmission was giving me some issues. I went to the BMW dealership and had a vehicle diagnostic check done. To fix the leak and install a new part would cost me over $2000. I was desperate and with this economy that was an issue for me. I went to Viking and not only were they able to do the job for 60% less than the estimate using the exact same BMW parts, they worked with me payment wise. I will be using them from now on and would recommend the friendly and capable staff to anyone!

Great place to go for service. Listens to what is needed/going on, and gives fair estimate for pricing. Not looking to find more stuff to work on like most shops. Pricing is quite competitive for the Chantilly area. super convenient to my day job, planning to continue using their services.Only downside - M-F closes by 5PM, could expand a little for convenience of the office park community, and Saturday hours would also help.

It was the first time Ive taken a car here and I think this may be my new garage to take all of my Cars 2. Finding a place that makes you feel welcome and a part of the process is very hard to do, Viking Automotive does that very well. A lot of garages Ive been to not only do you not get to talk to the technician but they avoided at all cost, this is the first thing and the last thing Viking Automotive does is let the technician talk with you to let you know what he did and what was done and how it went. I was in the process of buying my first car and I brought in a used car for a pre-purchase inspection. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me with a same day appointment and then treated me like family. They not only saved me from a bad buy, but showed me how to find a better car. My Honda Accord overheated one afternoon on the way into Chantilly. Discovered Viking was one of several repair shops nearby and selected them after seeing the number of positive reviews. I called and they took a break from their busy appointment schedule to immediately diagnose, fix and test a repair. Professional staff with excellent customer service. Clean and comfortable waiting area with a small deli (Lee Road Deli) within a short walking distance. (*great* Philly cheesesteaks!)

We have been using Viking Automotive for about 12 years now and have been satisfied with their service, price, and customer service. They have been reasonable in their pricing and have been able to find solutions that the dealer could not and had redirected me in the wrong direction. Although we felt as if we were being pressured into work that we were not ready to have done, at the price quoted.

The staff received me enthusiastically at a few minutes before closing. They made me feel comfortable that they would change my battery and test drive so I could make an early morning meeting.

I took my Volvo and currently take my Honda minivan to Viking because they are honest and do good work. Id recommend them to anyone.

Had to take my Volvo in for service and needed a lot done. I just hit 75,000 miles so there was a lot to changed. I did have to spend a lot to get everything from new spark plugs, air filters fluid changes etc but it was probably half the price the dealer would have charged. Employees were super courteous and helpful. Their customer service alone will continue to get my business. Glad to have found them.

Excellent! My car broke down and I was able to have it towed to Viking Automotive upon the recommendation of multiple family members. Bill & team kept me up to date on the progress of my vehicle (and actually completed the work earlier than anticipated). He thoroughly explained each charge and the reason why each repair was needed, and gave me the option of additional items that were needed and could be done then or down the road (brake pads/rotors and regular maintenance/service appt). I appreciated the honesty and integrity at Viking Automotive, as well as the fair prices - and each item recommended was necessary. I never felt ripped off. Would absolutely recommend!

Vikings was outstanding in there mechanical work and the price was remarkable. My car was Diagnosed properly after going to many other places which were just trying to take advantage saying my car needed something when it didn’t. No issues with the service they do. Shawn is nice person. Explains the problem and possible solutions and let customer decide what do with their car.Only problem I have is, their working hours falls with-in typical office working hours and you need to be with-in certain miles to have them either pickup/drop-off.

Ive been using Viking for over 6 years for my aging volvo. I love my car, and theyve kept it trouble free. Jeff at the front desk is the BEST. He always goes out of his way to help, and he tells you the truth about what needs to be done to your car. Cant count how many bulbs hes changed for me when I just drive up without warning.

I have a 2009 Volvo C30. Before I found Viking Automative, I was forced to use the dealership for maintenance which was not helpful for logistics and affordability. Viking is amazing! Every employee has been unbelievably helpful and understanding. Their communication is unparalleled and while no car maintenance is cheap anymore, they certainly are competitive and the quality of work combined with the service itself is worth every penny. Highly recommend Viking especially if you own Volvo or European brands but I’m sure they work on everything.

Viking Auto repeatedly provided me reliable, honest and professional service ...that I trust! Jeff routinely kept me informed on several extensive repairs performed on my 95 318i conv and there were no surprises at checkout. I highly recommend this Auto repair service to anyone looking for a shop for BMW repair/maintenance.

My vehicle needed a state inspection due to a pending expiration. I was getting worried because it took an hour to finish... normally it only takes 15 minutes at other shops. Upon reviewing the recommendations, I was shocked to hear a laundry list of items totaling about $1000. I knew there were brake issues that would need work but shocks are optional which they marked as a failure. To top it off, they added an engine mount as blown. To give some credit, the manager made it clear I had the choice of taking the vehicle elsewhere for repairs which I opted to do since I know a mechanic that takes care of all my vehicles. My mechanic noted the engine mount was worn, but not blown, but unfortunately written up so I had no choice to fix it since fighting the write up would be costly and time-consuming. The vehicle needed $350 of work at most. After the repairs, I was tempted to have it inspected somewhere else, but returned to Viking for reinspection... it took over 30 minutes! Its a very slick business practice to write up legitimate faulty items, but add a few others to pad the bill. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!

It was a pleasure working with Viking Automotive again after all these years since we sold our lat Volvo ( had a total of seven). since then they branched out to service BMW, VW, and Mercedes. Well it just so happened my wife bought a used 2008 BMW 5 series recently and just received a huge repair estimate. I suggested we take the vehicle to Viking. It was great to see the same faces there. Needless to say her car was correctly diagnosed, and repaired for a fraction of the dealer cost.....and by mechanics certified to work on BMW. I told a business associate about them and he will be taking his MB there next week.Thanks Viking!

After the factory warranty on my 2004 BMW expired, I regularly brought it to Viking for service. I have complete confidence in your mechanics, and your prices beats dealer by far. I now have a 2015 and will continue doing this.

I was travelling on business from Richmond when my serpentine belt broke rendering my VW Passat barely functional. Viking was able to have me back on the road in under two hours. They went out of their way to obtain the necessary replacement parts locally on very short notice. Their service was exceptional in both quality and value, and they made several helpful recommendations for saving money on future repairs and maintenance. Viking would be my new mechanic if I lived in the area.

I have been taking my older VW to Viking for the last couple of years and I will continue to use them going forward. Work has been done well and in a timely manner. Even more important they dont offer services you dont need and explain service that is needed.

Good work and customer service. I had both front brake rotors and related pads along with brake fluid flush done for about half of what the Audi dealer down the road wanted. Parts used were OEM.

Recently bought a used BMW Z4. Brought it in for scheduled service and wanted the car completely checked out for any existing or potential issues. I am always suspicious of repair shops finding up sell opportunities when asked to check out my vehicles. Viking performed the routine service at a cost lower then local BMW dealers and like competitors. Also closely looked at the entire car and found nothing. JB was direct in informing me of what was being done and honest in his findings. Viking Autimotive is a reputable, highly skilled business. They say what they will do and do what they say. For my money you cannot ask for better service, quality service, honesty and great customer treatment.

Great shop, great people, great service. Ive been going to Viking Automotive for half a year now and its been a consistently great experience. Ive driven my car almost 170,000 miles, so most of the little things that go wrong have gone wrong before and I recognize them. Viking always diagnoses the issues as the most reasonable thing, charges very honest prices for the sensible repair, and has the work done 100% perfect on the first try and on time. They have NEVER tried to upsell me on things I dont need. They have NEVER misdiagnosed as anything more costly. They take extra care to do little things to help me out without charging me, like fix my hubcap or tighten up something. And they even offer me a ride to work when theyre keeping my car for the workday. It doesnt get any better than this.

My BMW needed a new body control module. During the repair, someone at Viking Automotive had switched on the Valet mode and claimed that another module needed to be changed to operate the trunk at my expense. I told them to check the valet button, they claimed it was not the issue.I came to pick up the vehicle, the manager tried to refuse me from inspecting the car before paying. When I went to inspect the car, I switched the car off of valet mode which enabled the trunk fully functional.I will never return and do not recommend that you get service here.When I reported them to BMW of Sterling, they told me this is not the first complaint filed against Viking Automotive in regards to pressuring customers into having unnecessary work done to their vehicles.

Jeff and the guys have always provided excellence work and excellent service, every single transaction over the last 20 years(?) Volvo, Bmw....even my chrysler minivan (who would be inspired to work on that?) Viking Guys always solved the problem, identified other issues in there were any, never applied any pressure, and always solved the problem. Big Fan!

Two weeks after having my Jetta’s thermostat replaced, it stuck open again. I returned to Viking (early morning, with no appointment) where Paul quickly went to work on my car, removing the thermostat and finding the cause of the failure: a piece of plastic debris had found its way into my cooling system and jammed the new thermostat in the open position.While Paul had been working on the car, David called a local VW dealership to confirm the part number for the thermostat. To his surprise, the dealership provided a different part number than they had two weeks earlier.Despite the fact that my thermostat’s failure was due not to Viking’s workmanship, or the part’s failure, but to debris in my coolant system, David didn’t charge me anything since they had inadvertantly installed the wrong part two weeks earlier. Any other shop might not have told me that and charged me anyway. David and his entire team are the epitome of integrity. I won’t have anyone else work on my car.
