I trust only these guys with my car, and they always are honest and treat me right. The manager, Harrison, does everything in his power to go above and beyond, and I simply just don’t trust anywhere else! I even asked the mechanics their honest opinion on certain cars when I was in the market for a new one, and felt that their expertise helped guide me to make a decision. If they can’t take care of an issue at their shop, they’ll give you their best recommendations on who can! 5 stars for this location and their team!

I have been coming to this Midas location for a couple years, and I have always been remembered by name no matter how long it’s been. Will takes his time and is patient with me and tries to explain things throughly and Harrison is very respectful and engaging with every guest. It’s hard these days to find a good car place with quality mechanics and service, and I’m glad I have one here!

The service was great. Im used to going to firestone for my oil change. I will me coming here for now on .

I was very impressed with the quality of the staff and the work done here at this store. The manager, Nathan Engle’s was able to find a creative solution to fix our RV generator pipe. The RV is too heavy to lift,so he had to work on the ground and find a way to repair the pipe. He also made a very strong strap to support the pipe. Everyone at the store was courteous and professional.

Great guys me than willing to help get your needs done. Went to these guys to get my factory muffler removed and replaced with high flow after markets. Exhaust did a great job getting it in and making sure my request was met! I recommend.

Had to bring my old truck in for some repairs. To make a long story short, Harrison was very helpful and positive about finding the problem and Carl was very knowledgeable about my particular truck. I have had it at several mechanics, but no one ever seemed to figure out what was wrong with it. Harrison and Carl were able to finally diagnose the problem and fixed it. I couldnt be happier. I will definitely return.

The only mechanics I trust and best prices.

I called around for other prices and availability and these guy pulled through. Called in the morning and didnt have my size in stock but said they could by the afternoon. They were delivered by the time they said they would have them and got me right in for 4 new tires, alignment and oil change. They gave me some pointers and went the extra mile.

Make sure you buy the warranty with the quality job this Midas offers. I left my car at 1pm called around 4pm to check on the progress and my car still hadn’t been serviced because I forgot to communicate to use the appropriate key. Then the wrapped it up at closing time and I call at 5:48pm because I still had not heard from them.I received service a week later from another technician not located at Midas who alerted me that the bolts were so loose he could screw them off with his hand (he was changing my breaks). Then the following week I started losing air in my tire and I reached out to Midas and they wanted to charge $30 “if the tire was repairable”. He was not very curious or apologetic. Steer clear folks.

Mike & the guys were excellent. Very well priced and quick service for a high milage oil change and tire rotation. I will definitely be coming back!

I may have left a review for this place already but I’ll leave another. I’ve got a Jeep Wrangler JKU that I’ve taken here for not only oil changes but help with suspension issues etc. Harrison and the other Midas team folks have always taken care of me here- quick, and friendly. In a most wonderful sort of shock right now. To my memory I have never been to any sort of auto shop EVER where they didn’t try to sell me something extra, or try to convince me I needed something. Absolutely NOTHING sleazy about this place, in fact, just the opposite. Oil change, tire rotation and a full inspection for $29. AND fast. What?!? Amazing. Mike and Gene were awesome too. I am a grad student so I dont have a lot of money, and Nathan was very honest with me regarding what needed to be done and what could wait. Dishonest, Gave me an estimate for new headers & manifolds $2000 !!! I called my mechanic in another state, he did an estimate, leaving ample room for profit, he said it was at least $500 to much. I called a local shop Carolina Muffler & Brake, told her my story, waited for her laughter to subside, she apologized, she assured me that they would be more reasonable. I’m bringing my vehicle to them, will post a review. Stay away from Midas!

Had a very good experience here. Everyone was super friendly. They didn’t have any appointments available today, but said if I dropped the vehicle off with them they’d still be able to get the work done. I was able to pick up my car within a few hours.I had previously gone here when I got a bad dent in my rim and had to leave town the next day. Unfortunately they weren’t able to help me within my time frame, but went above and beyond calling the dealership and seeing if they had my rim in stock and tried to help me come up with a solution that would work. Everyone is just super nice and helpful.

This is the best Midas in the world, man. They help us out every single time we come there. We recently made a really weird mistake that we just didnt think about and theyve been so helpful and patient with us. Just all around amazing people and you can tell theyre amazing at what they do. I dont anything about cars and its apparent. My 2010 Dodge Challenger stalled and cut off on evening at 7pm. I was very freaked out and saw that no car repair shop was open so I called my work and told them I couldnt drive the 30+ minutes to work the next morning because I needed to get my car looked at before I drove that far. I went to two different places and called Midas before I went because all the other places had long wait periods. I understand that making an appointment is well planned but honestly sometimes you cant plan a car acting up.Mike answered the phone and it instantly calmed me down. He was so kind at 8am in the morning and understood how important it was to get my car looked at because Im not making money if Im not at work, ya know. I arrived minutes later and the kindness and concern and understanding was what I needed this early morning during this crisis. Fortunately nothing had to be done to the car even when Im sure the mechanic could have found something (repair shops being notorious for this).I personally think good customer service is a key in any business and Midas really made me feel better.I would highly recommend this Midas to anyone. Thank you guys for being so kind and honest!

My daughter who attends College of Charleston was experiencing tire issues. It was unsafe to drive so they towed it, gave proper guidance on a new set of tires and charged a very fair price.With us being across the country, it was nice to know she was taken care of. Justin she said was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to love his job. Would recommend for their honest, fair and prompt services!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Charleston and found ourselves needing a mechanic. Mike and Nate provided us with honest service. Needing a mechanic in a strange town can be scary, because you never know what someone might tell you that you need. 100% recommended.

Stopped by to get an oil change before Hurricane Dorian so I can hit the road. Customer service was great, but when I got home my sons and my emergency medicine that were in, 2 different locations (the glove department and center console )were both gone! So obviously I am not too happy,!

Very disappointing with my 2nd bad and expensive experience . They charged way too much for an AC refill (almost double what AAA charges) which was very poorly explained by the manager before hand and they go out of their way to find and other issues that they can tact on to the bill.’The hours of service charged for what they did do not match and the amount per hour is way higher then other places.Skip this place and go to AAA or Torres.

Have loved this place for a while, but my husband came here the other day thinking he needed his brakes done...they are so HONEST, told us that we didnt need the brakes done. I will forever bring my cars here and recommend all friends and family to come to this Midas! Incredibly impressed!

Most courteous place Ive ever taken my truck for service. Stephanie and Jessica are really nice and even offered to pick me up so I didnt have to take a cab to pick up my truck after it was fixed. I was extremely satisfied and will take my truck back here because of the exceptional customer service.Oh yeah, they also fixed my truck and changed my oil for under $100.

Will never use Midas again. They over charge on oil changes, and messed up my car twice. Was traveling a lot for work and had the car looked over to ensure I didnt need I to do anything before placing so many miles on the car. They calmed everything was good to go. Two months later my cars timing belt broke!!! Had to purchase a new car due to the effects of the belt breaking. Two years later I had a leak in my front axel seal, not only did they replace the wrong size seal, they left a part of my car dragging on the road. Could feel and hear it dragging! Had to immidiatly go back. Ended up having to go to the dealer ship to get it fixed!

Great customer service. Those other people must have been mistaken. I came in and they were straightforward with me, had me in and out in an hour in a half. Definitely returning.

They were very friendly and honest. I am very skeptical of mechanic shops and have been to a bunch in Charleston and I felt the most comfortable at the Midas on Sam Rittenberg. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with the car when I took it in. They found the problem and gave me a reasonable quote without trying to pressure me into doing unnecessary repairs. I didnt want to spend more than what the car was worth (a couple hundred dollars) and they advised me to just sell it for what I could instead of doing these repairs. They didnt charge me for anything. I will definitely be bringing my other cars here, they were great.

I had an issue with my car that, ultimately, they couldnt help me out with but they were very friendly and quick. They provided a courtesy check free of charge. Id recommend this shop based purely on this one interaction. The receptionist seemed highly knowledgeable and was very straightforward.

I have taken my car there a few times, usually just for oil changes. I have always had a pleasant experience. Last week I was in a situation where I needed my car fixed immediately. I was very upset when I called and the gentleman on the phone was so very nice. When I brought my car in he asked if I was the one who called and said all I need is your keys. I was given a quote within minutes and my car was fixed within a couple of hours. So grateful for their kind, honest, and fast service.

Had a wonderful experience here getting the master cylinder for my brakes replaced. One of the primary reasons for choosing this shop was that my longtime go-to mechanic Kevin has recently taken over the manager position. Prior to this I have followed him to a couple places over the years and wouldnt trust my car(s) to anyone else. I also know that he will not hire, nor abide, anyone else on the job not up to his level of professionalism. I recommend keeping these folks on your list of reliable places to have your vehicles serviced. Midas is a full service shop and can handle any repair you might need - not just affordable oil changes :-)

I had a terrible experience at Midas in west ashley. I had my head gasket completely rebuilt and the catalytic converter replaced. Ended up paying over $2,000 for all the work. When I got it back, the check engine light was on. I spoke to one of the mechanics about it and he told me that one of the cylinders was miss firing but it didnt seem to be a major issue. He said that as long as the car wasnt driving weird or over heating then I shouldnt worry about it. Well a year later, my new catalytic converter died which was directly related to the faulty cylinder. When I asked the managers about it, they told me that I was outside of the warranty and they wouldnt help with any of the cost. When I mentioned that it was their mechanic that told me not to worry about the misfiring cylinder they told me that I couldnt prove it and offered me no help. Ive taken my car to another shop and between fixing the cylinder and putting in a new catalytic converter, Im looking at close to another $1000 dollars to fix my car. I will definitely not be taking my car back to Midas on Sam Rittenberg and Ill be telling all my friends and family not to go there as well.

Outstanding service and very friendly staff

Go elsewhere. They did not complete a thorough brake inspection. While driving at a moderate speed, the brakes on my car went out and I could not immediately stop. I had to rely on other methods to avoid a serious accident or even death. They had previously inspected it less than a week before. I had to go back several times. They refused to take responsibility and was very resistant to my complaint that the brakes were still very loose. They tried to convince me (a female) that there was no problem, but after my persistence, found the real problem. ...a little too late. Be warned!

Hello review readers,Id like to start off by saying no more Midas again. That should be enough said but Ill go a little farther into detail. Service writer told me it would take 2 to 3 hours to do an exhaust job on my truck. It only took an hour and he still charged me for two and a half hours of Labor. Long story short I ended up having to pay $250 for only 1 hours worth of work. Their shop hourly rate is $108 an hour. So I paid almost $150 more than I should have paid. Im disappointed because I paid way too much money for the amount of work done. There was nothing professional done about it I could have done a better job myself. The exhaust rattles against the frame. One of the reasons why I wanted to get exhaust done in the first place. So long story short I screwed myself by going here today. The man that did the work on my truck admitted that he hates doing exhaust work. That should have been a red flag right there for me but i let him continue. My advice is go to a real exhaust shop.

Do not go here. They didnt tell us our brake pads were completely worn down when they shouldve and bc of that we drove the car for weeks and it ended up breaking our rotors. Costing us hundreds of dollars. Also theyve never been able to align our wheel correctly. Either lazy or unqualified. Weve been going there for years, will not go again.

The worst experience Ive ever had at a repair shop. I only took it to this location because they had replaced a battery about a year ago that was still under warranty. The manager Billy lied to me on numerous occasions. Midas damaged my vehicle during the process of getting it onto the lift. Rather than admit to it, they tried to blame it on the tow company. Despite saying they were not the cause, Midas agreed to repair it and to replace the part. Billy the manager kept telling me the part was on backorder when I would call to find out when I could bring the car back in. Two weeks passed and he finally said the part was in. Brought the car in and waited in the office for the work to be done. I was driving it back home when I realized the same problem existed. After taking it back and demanding documentation of Midas repairs, Billy refused to provide me with a work order detailing what was done. He finally admitted that he never ordered the part from BMW. He also admitted that they simply attempted to bend the damage part back into place, which is what they did initially to try and mask the problem when I picked it up originally. I was livid. This Midas location is completely dishonest and unethical. Definitely the worst experience with a repair shop. Will never ever think about going to a Midas ever again!

The team they have there is very competent at there job they helped me with a muffler issue and found a potential dangerous problem with my gas tank the mechanic installed a new fuel pump and was able to seal the fuel tank Thanks for the exceptional work ethic and care of the customer

These guys are polite and friendly however my vehicle was towed to them due to not starting. I had a gut feeling it was the fuel pump. When they dropped my tank they broke a fitting and had to replace some lines. They said my fuel pump was fine but after a day it died. I was charged 300$ for labor fees basically. They didnt charge me for redoing my lines and I see why. They used heater lines instead of fuel lines this mistake costed me an additional 950$ worth of work when I got my car back to Beaufort. The lines were practically melting because of the fuel. I had to get a new fuel pump regardless, new lines, new carbon canister, purge valve.. etc. Im honestly furious. I will not be returning to this midus or any midus as Im certain that theyre employees are not competent enough to do research prior to putting parts on a vehicle. This is unacceptable.

Went to Midas prepared to spend $1,000 on new tires and brakes after another automotive center told me I need new tires or they would blowout soon while I was there for an oil change. After being charged $90 for an oil change and then them trying to push tires I decided to get a second opinion and I am so glad I did.Being a young female with no experience in cars I trust what I am told at service centers and I was genuinely concerned for my safety after what I was told at the other place. At Midas they told me I am 100% safe and that it is just the integrity of the tire when it wears, nothing to worry about. It meant so much to me that they Midas was so honest with me not needing anything even though they knew i would have believed them and paid whatever I needed to to be safe. They got nothing for their time after charging me $0 and sending me on my way after inspecting and test driving my car. When it is time for new tires or anything else I will be back!I never write reviews but their kindness meant so much to me and I would highly recommend this location to anyone especially those who are not comfortable or knowledgable with car maintenance. A hundred dollars for an oil change? Are you kidding, the dealership is cheaper. Never take anything to them again.

I wouldn’t recommend that you take your vehicle here they can’t even replace a strut tried charging an additional 500 for bushings that are 9.29 at local part store then when service was declined they said that you were no longer welcome here
