Horrible experience. They advised me it was an issue with the computer so I paid to send it to be completely refurbished. When the company sent it back to me my car still didnt work and was then told by the computer was fine after paying already. And to top it off they broke my entire dash and because it wasnt working at the time I wasnt driving the vehicle and didnt notice until months later.

I’m from Atlanta and my Mercedes was screwing up on me while on vacation. Turns out it was two abs sensors which I had suspected it to be. I have had absolute horror stories dealing with engine issues with my Mercedes and auto shops in Charleston, South Carolina in the past. When the owner of Fender Mender recommended Star Motor to me I was a little nervous that it would fall short like the other mechanics I had dealt with. But I could not have been more wrong. Every detail from the customer service, the efficient manner of determining the issue with my engine, and having it working for me by the next business day including a exterior wash for free was superior. They ended up saving me about $2,000. This will be my go to repair shop for years to come!

I was traveling through town and developed a flat tire on my vehicle. I found Star Motor Service in an internet search. They repaired the tire complimentary and got me going on my way very quickly. I was very impressed with their service as well as the employees. I tend to ignore reviews where people indicate the employees were very friendly and courteous, but I dont know any other way to express how I was treated during my visit. If I lived here locally I would definitely take my business here.

Every time I take my Mercedes to the stealership there is always a need to replace this or that for x amount of money - seemingly no way of avoiding it. Not at this place! Obviously it was my lucky day because they cleaned and detailed the car, and all I brought it in for was an oil and filter change. They promptly took the car, and within a few hours I was back to driving. Will be back. Edit: Repeat customer. Same great service, and very knowledgeable. If you have a Mercedes-Benz there isnt a better indy shop in Charleston!

Very friendly and professional service with integrity. I had an issue with my GLK350, and are from out of town. They kept me updated for the duration my car was there, and refused to accept payment from me when they couldnt find anything wrong. Its hard to find a shop that cares as much as they SHOWED they cared. I wish I had a shop around like this back home. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone in the greater Charleston area, or from out of town on vacation!

Called over for help on locating a part for a 98 S420. Frank was easy to deal with and very informative. That is hard to find when dealing shop to shop these days. We recommend!

These guys are super stars. They take care of my 85 turbo diesel wagon and my 2006 sprinter. They do amazing work and are always a pleasure to do business with. Come to these guys if you want the best.

This company is used by American Home Shield warranty to repair appliances. If you have a warranty and this company is dispatched to come to your home, I would recommend that you request someone else. After they left my home we still were not sure if the repair was completed. I call the tech to ask questions and he would not allow me to ask questions or discuss the repair. He yelled at me and said if it did not work he would come back!!!! He would not listen to my questions and he hung up the phone on me.

Great experienced Mercedes service at a much improved price over normal service facilities. No free muffins and coffee but you can save enough to make you forget that or take simply take your own.

Bobby and the crew here are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. Its worth the drive for me all the way from Mt. Pleasant to use them instead of another Mercedes shop or a dealership.

Star Motors is the reason my 17 yo MB is still my daily driver. They are always responsive to my request. Frank has been great to work with, Donna has always been fabulous!

STAY AWAY FROM STAR MOTORS. I TOOK MY CAR TO AXLE FOR WORK IN AUGUST. HE TOLD ME HE COULD DO THE WORK IN SEPTEMBER AND THEN HE WOULD NEVER GIVE ME A DATE AND TIME TO START THE WORK. I HAD TO CALL ON A REGULAR BASIS TO ASK WHEN HE COULD FIX THE CAR. ALMOST THREE MONTHS LATER HE TELLS ME HE CANNOT DO THE WORK. I WASTED THREE MONTHS WITH STAR MOTORS. THE WORSE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!

Charged for doing nothing. They diagnosed my engine by reading the check engine light and then they cleared the code and charged me for it. Did not repair the issue, just cleared the code and gave me a bill.

These people are crooks !!!!!!I went there with my Mercedes S CLASS when i was having problems with the air ride systemThey told me i needed a new air suspension compressor ASAPI knew that there is a small plastic hose on the compressor that is known to crack and cause people to think its a bad compressor i asked the owner and the mechanic 5 times if it was just that hose they said no my compressor was bad i ahd them do the job but i kept the old compressor and guess what ?Just the hose was bad a 23$ fix at baker mercedes now i spent over 600$ on a new compressor that i never needed thanks to axel and milan at star motors !!!!!Dont go to these crooks
