All the vehicles on this lot are junk. The interiors of the vehicles are all stained and tore up, there was rust on a majority of their vehicles. The vehicle I was going to test drive was missing it’s exhaust pipe and had dog hair matted into the back seat. He is asking way to much money for these vehicles with the condition they are in. When I initially walked in to ask about the vehicle the man treated me like I was a bother to him. To many red flags.

Do not buy a car off them they have 19 complaints for unsafe cars that the say they are not responsible for. They also have a lawsuit against them by the West Virginia Attorney General.

They dont open early enough. My work hours are a little crazy. I would like to test drive a couple of their vehicles but their hours dont work with mine.

This is a family owned business that genuinely care for their customers. The staff is very polite and welcoming on first arrival, they did everything they could to get me in a car with reasonable terms and down payment!

Awesome people! They let me trade my first truck in before it was even paid off. Make your payments on time and you will always have good credit with them.

Poor customer service....filled out credit application online but no response yet and its been over a week! When my husband and I stopped by the actual car lot to look at their inventory, lots of nice reasonable priced vehicles including SUVs and 4X4 trucks, also few luxury cars........seen 3 employees working or standing outside smoking but nobody ever approached us and asked if we needed help. Too bad, looks like they lost 2 very interested n potential customers who wanted to pay with cash in hand that same day! I guess the vehicles on the lot are not for sale.....just for looks/show?????

Never had any issues with vehicles from Mr. V & Sons. Thankful to have such a great business in the Charleston area that will help those out by offering buy here pay here financing. I always recommend them to my friends and family.

Buy a car from there for three grand ( 2900) it was a journey 2008...so I was pretty happy because I have a whole litter of kids different ages :D we get it home n boom... while test driving he tells us there’s just a weird sound when you get about 35/45 n he don’t know why. it was during Covid so the process was kind of weird it wasn’t as usual. we get home and find out it’s a $3700 transmission issue ( only goes to 2nd gear. if you take the three we spent plus that we could’ve bought it off the street off a person in ad or even better for $6700 without having to do any work :( whole reason we bought it because it was totaling right under 3000 and was almost Christmas we wasn’t told about any of that of course ( transmission) there’s no lemon law in West Virginia anymore as of last July. Our tags have not came it’s December 22 2020 during Covid and they expire December 28. Call last week and they told us the DMV is slow give us some time but then after thinking about it that doesn’t make sense car lot to have ways around that right? I’ve watched probably eight or nine people during the stimulus and the huge unemployment checks run out and buy cars and have no issues like this. this is an actual car lot I would not recommend at all now. there was also rust found underneath it. they didn’t put a new sticker on it they just sold it as a as quick as they could. when my mom would say certain things to my boyfriend to not buy it they gave her some snare looks. Call West week and they told us the DMV is slow ehhh. Customer service a no. Seem friendly when you’re about to buy but it’s kind of like AFTER you’re buying and after you buy attitudes change. In total I’ll pay $7000 for a 2008 Dodge journey that has staining on the seats they didn’t detail it first either you just bought you think detailed etc etc ...no. Staining on the seats it was OK because we thought that’s all.. it’s cool. didn’t realize it was going to be having to go into the shop the tags not coming on time not given help on my call about the tags either and now that I’m looking at the title the name of my street is not even correct so my tags probably went to someone else’s house and they don’t even know so instead they blamed it on unless they help me I’m keeping me review and word of mouth.

Great place to buy a vehicle! I bought my 2006 Saturn vue 8 months ago and it’s been a great vehicle. These guys are very easy to work with and they have low down payments and monthly payments! I’d recommend them to anyone! If your ever in kawaha city stop by and see Mr V and sons!

Worst place ever. Drove 4 n half hours for a car that was told to us to be rust free(due to the age and location of this car we asked prior to renting a trailer to haul it back with) to get there and its full of rust and the guy we talked to the entire time wasnt even there after he knew we was driving that far he decided he needed to run errands. Nobody came out to parking lot to assist us we had to walk inside to ask for help and keys. Waste of your time and very dishonest place.

I would rate it negative stars if possible. I wouldn’t waste your time here. Bought a car that seemed fine, took it the my shop the next day and found out that the vehicle was literally about to fall in half from frame rust. Marked it for $3400 when it wasn’t worth $200. Keep your money

I go here for all of my auto work, Camron and his family really go above and beyond for the people they serve. Very fairly priced and efficient. All of my friends who have bought cars from here have great things to say about them as well.

When you call or message asking g about a vehicle they dont tell you all the problems with it ... made a trip to Charleston for nothing ... just to start a car that had a bad knock

Dont ever buy a vehicle from Mr. V & Son in kanawha city! I bought a 2004 Chevy trailblaze & drove it a week & the motor went out on me. I noticed after I was getting off the interstate the vehicle wasnt shifting out of 2nd gear & was slowing down. Took it to my local garage to find the issue & was told I need a new transmission. I called Mr. V & son they said your warranty has already ran out and all we can do is let you miss the 1st month payment. Spoke with them again & told them a new transmission would cost more than I can afford. Then he said well I see you didnt have enough in your bank account to cover the cost that comes along with owning a vehicle! So I asked can I aleast get another vehicle since I gave them 2750. Cash & he said well how do ya not know it wont happen again ? True I dont know & thats the chance you take with any used vehicle! But still they got my money & Im without a vehicle now! So if youre smart & want a vehicle that will get you some where dont ever buy from Mr. V and Son in Kan city!!

These guys are frauds! They sold me a vehicle that seemed to be ok, less than a month later the check transmission light starts flashing! I am mechanical inclined. I have my own tools and computer for reading codes. The part was supposedly under warranty, so was labor. Disposal and addition of fluids wasn’t, no biggie, worth it to get the vehicle I paid for fixed right? Wrong. When the problem first occurred, I dropped it off to have them check it out, he said nothing was wrong with it, when it was obviously clunking and shifting way too hard through gears. They kept my vehicle for 4 days to “fix it”. When I got in my vehicle and drove it home I continued to have the same issues. Vehicle was supposedly AWD, brought it home last night and got stuck on my driveway! After they “fixed it” only one tire spinning, doesn’t sound like AWD to me. And on the 3rd day I owned it realized there were only two lug nut bolts holding both front and back rear tires on! I fixed that myself. Don’t trust these people, they’re sign says looking for honest people but they are NOT honest themselves! They butter up these vehicles enough to pass them for a sale and then steal your money after.
