I got this Trek Mountain bike for my son. The lady that helped me was super sweet and knowledgeable. She even adjusted the seat for me (even though my son wasnt even there... I just told her his measurements and she knew exactly what to do). She offered to help me load it in my SUV. Love the price too. If I had bought this new from Trek, it wouldve been $300 but I got it for $120. π
Cool concept, friendly staff. I think some of the bikes are a little overpriced. But they put the effort into making these bikes rideable again, so that sort of negates the high price. Definitely a great place to purchase a used bicycle.
So, just picked my bike back up after dropping it off at the Re-Cyclery last week for some extensive repairs. I am SUPREMELY happy. The service I received from Charlotte, John, and especially Paul was outstanding. I purchased some SWEET new parts too, including a new seat, and a bike bell! Im telling you, this place masterfully repaired my bike. Gave it a quick test ride in the parking lot and it is once again a mighty road warrior. Elated.
It was very easy to find and park here. The staff was very friendly. We donated some bikes, it was a very easy process. Just hard to see our kids had grown up and couldnt use their cute bikes any more. ;)
Fantastic Not For Profit! Highly recommend as they are both knowledgeable and kind!
Great selection and SERVICE! And, they are respectful and are wearing masks.
Great place to get a bike, especially if you have kids. Staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful.
This place is AWESOME bike heaven!!!Need a bike part? This place should always be your first stop
Staff was knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Ended up sending me to another shop for help with my wheel with a hub motor in it but not before trying to make it work there!
Awesome place, quick service. Highly recommend. Went in today to get a piece for my bike seat. They had one, put it on in under 5 minutes. Great place, great people
Thanks very much for our βlike newβ Trek bike!!
Love this place if you need bike repair or parts . Kind friendly knowledgeable. Please if you have a bike to donate do give it to them it helps other kids or if your looking for a bike .
These guys are awesome. Bottom line. They just care about bikes. Amazing customer service. Super nice employees.
Brought in 2 bikes the kids grew out of, left with the perfect bike for our 5 1/2 year old. He test drove it in the parking lot.nit was reasonably priced. We even added a bike bell.Note; you can request a receipt for your donation for tax purposes
Great experience, much faster than several other places Ive been for the bike. Wound up buying a second bike. Little tricky to get there but its a great place.
We purchased two bikes here and we love them! We love supporting businesses like this and were excited to find good quality used bikes. Will recommend to all of our friends and family.
Great experience! They were very helpful, walked me through the controls of the bike. Allowed me to test ride, and resolved any issues on the spot. I highly recommend watching their site to find a bike for you.
Man thes guys and gals are the best. They know everything and are always so welcoming!
Very helpful staff.. good deals on bikes.
The Charlotte Re-Cyclery is a bike co-op that has an online and in-store shop of custom-built bikes that you can buy. Bikes are built by the community members that run the shop, and anyone can volunteer (after an easy, and incredibly succinct, bike repair class) and even earn credits to build or buy your own bike! Check this place out! FYI: They are on limited days/hours during COVID times; appointments are necessary to shop/test-ride bikes for now.
I had such a great experience at the Recyclery! They have fantastic COVID protocols that made me feel safe (Im a high risk individual) to try and purchase a bike. They helped me pick the best bike for my needs and it was very reasonably priced! They also included a set of bike lights because it is illegal to ride at night in NC without lights on. I recommend them to everyone and would absolutely go back!
Friendly helpful staff and giving back to the community by buying used bicycles and parts! Win-win, keep up the great job!
Great place to get used bikes and help support our community.
The best prices on bikes, parts and labor... amazing staff... a terrific resource for cyclists of any level.
Had to wait 3 weeks to get bike back when I was told it would be ready in 5 days. Shop closed with no notice given to customers. When I finally got my sons bike back there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The bike was correctly fixed though.
Great place for a bike !!!! And they will fixes one for you great people !!!!
Always willing to help, great prices, and they do a lot for the community. Friendly service and the staff is knowledgeable not only in the product but the local customers as well. Had a flat tire a few weeks back and further complications after the visit but they took care of it same day after calling back. Not a huge selection of bikes but good enough to get you on the road. They work off donations and donβt buy bikes but they do ensure youβre getting one of the best prices in town.
These guys are doing a great job not allowing old bikes to get to landfill. We should all make an effort to buy used bikes especially for kids since they outgrow bikes so fast. The used bike in re-cyclery are overhauled and then sold. These overhauled bikes are in good condition. However, they arent flawless hence 4 stars.
Best bicycle repair store!
Exceptionally helpful staff and good variety of bikes for littles.
Fast efficient affordable service
Paulβs the man. My colleague recommended this shop to me so I gave it a shot and just went there yesterday to check out a bike but ended up buying it. These guys are amazing and quite helpful. Would totes recommend them π
Love these guys. They have great previously loved bikes, at reasonable prices. They do a good job reconditioning bikes.
Looking around I like the murals.
Great cause to support. We often donate our bikes here and have purchased two bikes. Both were in great condition.
The employees here go above and beyond what you could imagine to help customers get a great bicycle that is a good fit for their body and their need. Im so happy we found and supported their cause.
The best place ever
Im new to cycling and went in fairly unsure of what I needed. Everyone I worked with here was super friendly, helpful, and patient with the my questions. They helped me figure out everything I needed and you can tell everyone there cares about the sport and community. Cant recommend this place enough!
I get a good, freshly tuned up used bike at a bargain price. They give back to the community in a real, tangible way. Its a true win-win.
I picked up my road/gravel bike here. A Marin, no less. Lucked up and found something large enough and practically new. Fair pricing too. The have great deals on accessories, and helpful, friendly people in the shop. I always recommend the Re-Cyclery to people who are interested in getting into biking or are looking for accessories. If you dont find what you want, just come back next week. Different bikes and parts are always cycling through!
Been in here multiple times. This place is the best. Fair prices. A great mission to help the community. Im convinced there is NOT a better option. Great work Charlotte Re-Cyclery.
My wheels were stolen off my bike I use to commute and I went in wanting something cheap to replace them. They had a huge selection of wheels and I ended up getting nicer wheels than I had, a new cassette, tires, tubes all for under $70. They also looked over my bike and replaced my brake pads. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with an awesome vibe. Lots of great, cheap bike parts -- environmentally friendly and supporting local kids to boot. I will definitely be returning to support this place.
Excellent place to find parts, seek advice, or volunteer. Supporting a great cause AND find what you need!
Best place to get kids bikes in Charlotte. No need to buy new or big box when you can get quality bikes for a lot less. We donate the old back when its time to upgrade as they grow. Their programs and camps are excellent as well.
Great non-profit place, local bike-shop folk helping people with bike problems. They take the time to help and explain things. Also great place to get a good bike SUPER CHEAP PRICE! Great outreach program too! Good service Charlottes best kept secret.
Really great volunteers. They hooked me and my family up. We got 3 bikes fixed and purchased a small one for my 4yr old son for an amazing price (20 bucks). They let me and kids help with fixing the bikes so we left with working bikes, greasy hands and a sense of accomplishment.
Great place to go for bikes, moneys goes to support Trips for Kids.
The staff is awesome here. If you want to do it yourself this is the place to kick around ideas and get good used parts. They sell refurbished bikes with great parts at a very reasonable price. They also do reliable repair and tune ups.
Helpful and welcoming poeple. While I couldnt find what I need I felt that place was one of the best choices if I needed a new bike. Im not from the area and the guy even helped me with my address. The idea of fixing and selling bikes for much cheaper is an excellent one. Ψ§ΨͺΩ ΩΩ ΩΩΩ Ψ§ΩΨͺΩΩΩΩ
This place is awesome! If youre looking for random parts for older (26in mtb, 27in road, etc.) bike builds, then this is definitely a great resource. This place is stocked full of reclaimed parts from recycled bikes. Lots of options for complete bikes and parts. Super helpful group of people working here that make finding the right part easy. I look forward to coming back here.
I walked in of two different occasions with flat tires. They were helpful, friendly, fast and affordable. Iβll be using them again when I undoubtedly pop my tire next week!
These guys are so kind and know whats going on. I tell everyone dont buy a new bike at Walmart. You can buy a great reconditioned bike here for the same price but better quality!
They take donated old bikes, refurbish them with volunteer labor then sell them to raise money for their non-profit. Its a great way to get a nice, maintained, discount bicycle. Its kind of random what they have for sale so stop by early and often! Its not a super elaborate retail setting and its kind of like someones basement workshop. But the staff is friendly and welcoming and the deals are good if you are patient!
Amazing place to get a bike or have your bike fixed! These guys know everything! Theyre a charity too so its all tax deductible and cheap! Theyre located in an awesome little shopping strip so you can go visit different shops while they work on your bike!
This is an excellent bike Re-Cyclery. staff is very helpful very knowledgeable, they make repairs on the spot all their stuff is from donations for little kids. anyone that has any bikes that are working and they need to get rid of please drop them off here! they only do business with donated equipment
I took my grandsons bike to re-cyclery to be repaired and was more than satisfied with the finished product. Not only did they make the requested repairs but inflated the tires and inspected the bike to insure that nothing else was wrong. I found the price to be reasonable and the staff to be down to earth and friendly. I would definitely return for future repairs. I was also impressed with the fact that they raise funds to help children in need.
JUST AWESOME best place in town would drive 2 hours just for this place
Got a great bike 6 months ago ... I have lost 35 pounds! You would absolutely be better buying a good used bike rather than wasting your money Wal-Mart and your pedal break when you decide to stand up and grind! Just saying ...
A great service to the community both for those with bikes and bike stuff to donate, and for those in need or want of more affordable bikes. Very friendly and helpful personnel too.
Decided to start commuting via bike to work and havent ridden in years. Walked in and was helped by Milton. Awesome place and great staff. Very helpful and friendly place who does great things in the community. I will be back hopefully to volunteer. Thanks guys!
I hope to buy a bike from this place, as I am very encouraged and enthused about their cause. Very nice and helpful staff.
Wow. Couldnt be happier. Stopped in after a commute home with a clicking bottom bracket and 10 minutes later problem solved. What a great piece of mind to have this gem in the neighborhood. Tons of used parts and used bikes. Thank you Re-Cyclery.
Great place to have your bike repaired & learn the bike basics. Also, a place for services used bikes.Nice Community based biking spirit and a good place for someone starting out on a budget.
The Re-cylery provides a very unique and necessary service to the community. I support their work by buying and donating equipment both.
All the workers are friendly and helpful.
Great place to shop for a bike (or accessories) or donate a bike!
Love Love Love the Re-Cyclery!! Eric helped me when I brought in my old bicycle to be fixed and his knowledge and experience helped me decide I needed a different bicycle, safer and better made.He led me through the shop showing me all the bicycles for sale as well as those being repaired before sale. I fell in love with a red Schwinn. Best decision. I love that the money goes towards kids and their freedom. Having a bicycle and being able to get around as a kid is freedom. Thank you Eric and everyone at the Re-Cyclery you all are awesome. Ive told everyone I know to come to you for their Bicycle needs. Thank you for an awesome experience.
Super friendly, super helpful and a good cause
Crazy good pricing for their services and knowledge abounds here.
Very friendly service and a wonderful business model. If you have a vintage bike or are in the market for one this is the place to go. They have an excellent supply of hard to find vintage bike parts.
Best non profit and best bike shop in town. Donβt waste your time elsewhere.
Great experience here! I got a really cool bike here and, not being a serious biker, didnt pay an arm and a leg. Plus, the purcase supports a kids charity.
Awesome people and parts! Start here for a used bike or parts.
This place is great for a good refurbished bike. Check here before you go to a big store or buy online. They have lots of used components if you are looking for spare parts.
Always nice to visit other shops doing what they can to put folks on bikes, and these folks do it well!
Awesome. Keep it going. We will be back
Staff is always friendly, and helpful. They perform affordable bike maintenance and repairs, and are associated with the local charity Trips for Kids. Our family supports them whenever we can!
Great place to buy from, very organized and lots of help. PLUS goes to a great cause!
Great prices, will continue to shop here.
If you are going to buy a bike, why not buy from a nonprofit that provides bikes to those who arent lucky enough to be able to buy one on their own! Great prices too.
Good

Excellent service at a reasonable price!

Not the largest selection but the prices are reasonable and the philanthropy aspect is nice
Great service and cause. Best place for a used bike.
Great place to get a reasonable priced bike and help a good cause.
The staff is helpful and friendly and the prices are incredible. The fact that much of the work and proceeds are charitable makes it hard to believe, but they are!
Amazing people, great non-profit, awesome deals, outstanding program!
