We stumbled on this gem in downtown Charlotte after the march on October 2. It is essentially a food court, but it is not your every day food court. Everything from col pressed juices to pizza and sandwiches are created with LOCALLY sourced products. We shared an absolutely delicious cheeseboard with 3 cheeses crafted in NC, Kentucky, and Tennessee! It also had tasty almonds and pickled veggies on the board. The bread was just right too. It was def hustling and bustling but not so crowded you couldnt enjoy your meal. I also enjoyed and shared a fantastic cabarnet that we had with our snack. A very fun spot!
Neat little market! It is small so dont expect it to be a way to just waste time. I did recommend going though.
I really like 7th street market. Its a great place to find and support locally owned small businesses, primarily food based ones. All of the owners and workers are very nice and passionate about their crafts. There were plenty of tables there and Ive never had a problem finding a place comeAs youll know parking in downtown is tricky but theres a parking deck attached to the market so you have to take your ticket inside and they have a validation machine and I think it gives you up to 3 hours and you dont have to make a purchase to validate it.
Great time. Bought the most delicious cheese at Ormands, never disappoints. Had my first taste of Geno Ds Pizza. Wow, it is so amazing, the only problem is deciding which pizza to choose!! Geno is a master, the crust is super. Do yourself a favor and visit the 7th Street Market.
7th street is awesome. A nice low key spot to get some amazing food and wine. Assorted Table wine shop always has great recommendations. Orrman’s cheese shop has the best grilled cheese sandwiches in town. Geno’s Pizza is so good, grab some knots to snack on. Momo’s is amazing - their dumplings and curry chicken is my favorite. All in all a wonderful spot we hang out at often to snack and refresh.
Nice variety of food and shopping. Great coffee and nice seating inside and out.
This place has some of EVERYTHING! Spend a weekend with a hotel special & walk through downtown Charlotte NC. So many little nooks & crannies to visit. This market is so diversified, we can learn something from each others cultures. You can sit with total strangers to learn new things. Very casual cool place!
This place kind of missed the mark for me a bit. I like when food halls have some type of vibe to them. I felt the decor and furniture just weren’t too up to date and didn’t give a fun vibe to the place.
Tip: You can validate your parking ticket for 90 minutes if youre eating food here. Just scan your ticket by the pizza shop. Scanner is mounted on the wall. If by light rail, the stop is literally at the door. Once you get inside, its like a warehouse with tons of vendors to choose from. Beer, wine, pizza, omelettes, crepes, grilled cheese, coffee and the list goes on! Place is usually busy but theres plenty of seating as people are always coming and going. If you cant make your mind up do a few laps around and let your tummy decide! Tip #2: Bathroom is in the back right corner of the building.
Cute place but very small. My husband and I thought it would be bigger.
I with there was more food options, the place is very clean, the burger I had could have been seasoned better, my daughter shrimp po boy was good, the cashier was nice.
Note: This review is for Uptown Yolk, NOT 7th Street Market as an entity.4-stars instead of 5 only because they got our overall order wrong on two notes (the type of toast we requested and they didn’t put the pecans we asked for on the Belgian waffle). Also, the waffle is a little dry, and the shrimp and grits lacked salt. The chicken wings that came with the waffles were DIVINE — well seasoned and moist! The grits were saved by the well-seasoned shrimp and this green sauce they drizzled over the grits. Service-wise, the food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and the young ladies working the counter were very sweet.I’d go back and try their egg white omelette next time. With a mimosa from Assorted.
Clean open space! Many options to eat, drink and shop!Returning Soon!
This is my favorite place in all of Charlotte. I like to describe it as a little hipstery spot. They got a bunch of different food types. My two favorite are the crepes and the fruit bowls. In the back you can even find little venders stalls. If you have free time, I would 100% recommend going. Oh, they also sell really good honeys
This place was great while I visited Charlotte. The location featured many different eateries to choose from and one outstanding coffee place. While on my visit, I had breakfast here three times. Its within walking distance of many hotels and right along the light rail. We had breakfast at uptown yolk and coffee at not just coffee. I recommend both.
We went here for late breakfast before checking out of our hotel across the street. Plenty of seating (we got there before the crowds) and great food vendors to choose from. Everyone was very friendly and the food quality was great. I highly recommended this place. Must try.
Doesnt have as much as it use to, but what can you expect after a pandemic. Just glad the cheese place is still there. Also has Charlotte t shirt for those visiting or someone like me to remember my hometown.
Great service at all of the restaurants and the market staff could not have been more welcoming. I have no doubt that 7th Street Public Market will continue to grow and thrive.
Great Place for food. Pizza Crepes Coffee ! Nice place to visit with friends and family!
This is such a great place to grab food, wine, snacks or just hang out with friends. I love the fact that they have added BatteryXchange kiosks to their location! I am able to charge my phone on the go and drop the portable charger off at other convenient locations around the city.
Nice place. It used to have a lot more from what I have heard but the its poppin fruit water and popcorn stand was great!
We decided to stop in Charlotte on our southern road trip and unfortunately, because of Covid, this place like many others was empty and like a ghost town. :(
The vendors here are fun to visit and its a great place to grab a to-go drink for a ride on the Funny Bus.
My husband and I visited the 7th Street Public Market a week or so ago during our trip to Charlotte for the Renaissance Faire! We absolutely love this place. Whether youre looking for a beautiful cup of coffee or an ice cold beer or something to fill your belly, this place has got you covered! The atmosphere is really chill and cool with lots of natural light, a perfect place to go for breakfast and soak in the morning vibe! Everyone we talked to that work here was really sweet and told us a lot about Charlotte and cool places we could go on our trip! We cant wait to come back! :)
Everything was pretty good. Purchased some pretty pricey chocolate.
I had a great experience at this location. The staff is friendly, great service. The best part was the kiosk, the BatteryXchange kiosk was super awesome. My battery was on 7% and it gave me a great charge while I was there. Super easy to use and even had adverisements. Why arent they everywhere!
I always enjoy coming her for food, coffee, and local businesses. Right now my 3 favorite stops are viva raw, better earth, and ricos acai. The scenery is perfect and simple, it stays busy because its so popular, and there is a parking place right across the street. You will seem me there a lot honestly.
This is a great idea that every community should follow.
Well, we drove here to eat on a Sunday afternoon at they are closed. Kinda with the hours of operation were updated.
Amazing little market. Get trinkets, food, or enjoy an adult drink.
Great casual spot for lunch or even a laid back date. Several vendors to choose from serving delicious sandwiches and breakfast items at local loaf, amazing grilled cheeses and quiches at Orrmans to crepes at Hazelnuts. Plus beer, wine by the bottle, and fantastic coffee. I opted for a healthy arugula salad from Pure Pizza.
A fun place to grab a bite to eat from alot of different independent vendors. Our family really enjoyed the crepes!
This place is great! A lovely place to support small businesses, you can also order and pick up for most of the stores inside to avoid any COVID exposure. Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem!
Good food, nice vibe :)
Loved this market. Awesome food and every vendor was so friendly. Definitely stopping by here if were ever in town again.
I recently visited 7th streets Public Market and was thoroughly impressed with the BatteryXchange charge station which allowed my phone to stay charged as I toured the city. It was an easy set up and before you know it my phone was fully charged and I went on about my day.
Very nice! Great to have more than one Merchant in one place...will be back.
Love the crepe place and the wine spot at the market is nice to hangout while waiting for the next 🚉 train
Every time I come here it’s closed. Just close it permanently lol
My favorite place to spoil myself since moving Uptown 2009. I always say hello to Toni @ CLT Find. Today, I enjoyed sitting on their patio while eating my savory crepe from Hazelnuts Creperie, a cold craft beer from Tanks Tap and a fresh fruit bowl from Ricos Acai and a matcha latte from Not Just Coffee !!!!
One of my favorite places in Charlotte! Recently they have added a battery charging kiosk by Battery Xchange. Battery Xchange is the best thing to be added to 7th Street Market.
Great wine and a pizza place is coming soon when
Cool little market.
Lot of food and drink options! And theyre all good. I suggest the Asian tacos at Momos or the shrimp and grits at Uptown Yolk. Grab yourself a bottle of wine and a mimosa at the back of the market. Theyll provide you with suggestions based on your taste preferences.
Wasnt much stuff opened and we went afternoon around 12ish and maybe its probably because of the pandemic 🤷♀️ but overall a nice place
Out of town visitor, this place is a quaint, nice little marketplace and is centrally located. My friend and I got coffee at the shop, and I wanted to try the creperie
Great place to come to get some work done and enjoy good food and especially coffee. The coffee shop at the entrance to the left is wonderful. They make chocolate and caramel from scratch in house so their mochas and caramel macchiatos are phenomenal. The grilled cheese place is also very good. Knocked one star down because they are closed Monday-Wednesday. Considering as I mentioned earlier its a cool place with good wifi and is perfect for work, I wish it was open for more than just 2 days out of a work week.
The Crepe that I lunched on was superb! It was the Thai one, and it was scrumptious and filling.
Loved the trendy atmosphere and unique food.
Came through to pick up some goodies as a house-warming present and stop in for a quick lunch and this is a wonderful location to find great local stuff. Met an awesome individual at Orrmans who recommended some great cheeses and recommended other hangouts in Charlotte. Found local honey, fairly priced wine, and a tasty grilled cheese sandwich. Hot tip: the parking garage tickets can be validated for a visit under 90 minutes with a purchase in the market.
Great place to hangout. Grab a cheese plate and a glass of wine!
Great market for local foods
Fantastic wine and cheese selections.
One of my favorite places in the city for a drink, bite to eat, and local shops. Must check out It’s Poppin. Best popcorn ever!
I love places like this- its a food hall with shops.
One of the best markets in Charlotte for a variety of food and a lively atmosphere. The coffee shop in here is my favorite. They make their own chocolate and caramel sauce so if youre in the area a mocha or a caramel macchiato are a must try. Hazelnut creperie is a good lunch option to go with your delicious coffee. They also host occasional events. Last weekend they had little street shops outside by the light rail and one of the shops sold pet accessories. All profits went to an animal charity so I was happy to contribute. Check out their bulletin board for event schedules.
Assorted Table is the best!! Be sure to head across the way and grab a cheese plate to go with your wine!
Hoppin #localspot to grab food, drinks, and tourist fare too! Like a tiny Charleston market.
We got some crepes at Hazelnut Creperie and a coffee at Not Just Coffee.. Easy parking and parking validation!
Great market. The people that shop around in there above judgy stares. I ate at the Hazelnut Crâperie. The lemon drop is over priced tbh.
Nice eclectic venue for pastries, crepes, great coffee, beer, bread, and pizza to name a few. Regardless of your tasting, there is probably something there for you.
It was good but too small
I love this place.. Great good and lots of options.
Wednesday visit... some shops closed
Loved my crepes.I also really enjoy the local stores and food.
Awesome lunch/snack spot with many different food and beverage choices. Seating can be tough at lunch but dont be afraid to grab an empty seat next to a future friend!
I ate at Rico’s Açaí. After moving from Hawaii to Charlotte, I was skeptical trying an Açaí bowl. Hawaii OBVIOUSLY has the best Açaí bowls. However, Rico’s Açaí made me feel at home. The fruit taste, feels and looks authentic. No extra sugar, naturally sweet and delicious! Give it a try.
Nice variety of food stands with reasonable prices.
Really cool place. Delicious food, different options, very reasonable prices and high quality products. Very fresh .
Nice assortment of options in the area. Worth the walk if in Uptown.
