I got the East & West, but substituted American cheese for Swiss. Delicious, absolutely worth it. But the créme brulée (or however you spell it) latte is to die for - the only thing wrong with it is that its not big enough. Beautiful interior space, and very kind workers.

The barista was very friendly and inviting. Got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. It was warm and fluffy with a tasty sauce on the side. The crème brûlée ice coffee was prefect and exactly what I need for the start of my double shift. Prefect balance of coffee and sweet. I will be back to try the green tea frappe.

The guy who was there was awesome, super chill & nice. I asked for a recommendation & got the creme brûlée latte which was super interesting because there was actually pudding in the drink. The inside was cute too which always ties everything up well. The only thing is that the macaron I tried was crunchy lol — my first crunchy one ever; it didn’t taste super fresh either.

This place is really lovely! If youre someone who is knowledgeable about coffee, youll be able to appreciate their variety of brewing methods and styles (plus their coffee is some of the best Ive tried). If youre someone who prefers their sugar with a little bit of coffee in it, they have tons of fun items on the menu like a creme brulee latte and a few different flavors of frappes. The service is fast and friendly, and the vibe is just right for getting some work done. Highly recommend!

Went to the one by the Kimpton and 230 S Tryon. The staff, perfect. The ambience, nice. The creme brulee coffee was the best sweet coffee drink Ive ever had. The next time in I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and it was the best not sweet coffee Ive ever had. This place is a must stop for coffee fiends.

Covid hit I was a chef, changed careers, it was a rough year. I fell upon this place around Jan. Thought is was closed. Cory and the ladies are amazing. Great Coffee, way better than That other chain, consistent, Has Vietnamese Coffee!!!! This was the best study chill spot ever and we also share the same taste in Lofi music. Waterbean is one of my favorite places to get coffee. This location has a super cool vibe to it.

Im a Waterbean regular and love all of their photo-worthy shops, but this location has a special chic city vibe perfectly placed on Tryon St. Theres a cute curly haired girl (I think her names Kylie) who always takes the time to ask me about my day and has my drink in the works before I even enter the store.

Drinks were okay. They dont seem to taste the same as the ones across town, though..

This place is my ALL TIME favorite coffee. I work at Starbucks in FL and this was hands down the best espresso I have ever had in my life. The workers were super nice and the environment is perfect inside! When I was visiting my sister in Charlotte, I wanted to go here and get an iced latte every single day because of how phenomenal it was. Now that I’m back home I want Waterbean to move down here!! If you’re in the Charlotte area, I highly highly recommend that you try this place!!!

I was skeptical of this place because there was no line and it is downtown however after going through the drive-thru and picking my selection we were thoroughly impressed with the Starbucks like quality of the drinks and the friendliness of the barista this place is essential if you just want to drive through and grab coffee on your way to or while you are downtown tastes just like Starbucks less of the price LOL

Wow!!! What a great experience! The staff was super friendly! I walked in as a first time customer they told me to take my time. I told the lady I had seen a picture online of some iced thing with bubbles and she immediately knew what I was talking about. She asked a few more questions and I told her to make me her favorite flavor! She really knew her tea! It was amazing! It was quiet and the music was relaxing! The person helping me didnt seem interested in me as a customer telling him it was my first time there. I asked for the cheesecake brownie and he served me a cheesecake and when I said ...no no the cheesecake brownie he seemed surprised that item existed on the shelf...I dont know it was a very weird interaction. I am not a coffee drinker. I drink tea, and its hard to find decent, well-brewed tea, so I was so happy to find Waterbean! They have a wide selection, and not only know coffee, but tea as well. Both locations Ive visited are great meeting places, personal and business. Very welcoming and comfortable venue!

Love the atmosphere everything was very clean, but it smelled rather funny inside ( like a barn). Prices are extremely high for the quality. I ordered the Creme bruleé cheesecake and it was frozen solid. For $4.25 it should not be served like this. Im certain that I will not be back and I will not recommend this place either.

Excellent! Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great coffee. I was even able to choose my espresso variety. My only complaint is that the place had a weird smell inside, what I can only compare to a recently-sanitized bathroom. Didnt detract from the experience but its not what I expect when I walk in a coffee shop.

A nice, off the beaten path coffee shop with sweets. The quality of the coffee is great, but the atmosphere inside encourages purchasing and leaving.There are a few tables inside, and good seating or front, but its not a nice place to hang out like Coco and the Director, for example.

Went at 4:50 today, October 24th. Only one woman was working, so drinks took a while which I expected. My girlfriend and I got 2 Thai teas, both of which tasted extremely sour, like the milk/cream in it had expired.Still, that probably wasn’t her fault, so I explained they tasted very bad and asked to exchange for other drinks, but ended up refunding one drink and ordering a matcha with soy milk for my girlfriend. After 20 minutes, and having still not gotten the matcha, I went back to the bar and waited for the barista, who said she was just “caught up cleaning”She then handed me a cup of oat milk with matcha on top, completely unmixed.I was extremely hopeful, but very disappointed

Up and coming area in First Ward. Free parking at a coffee shop in uptown! Score. Very cozy and inviting inside with views of the big buildings and a large patio out front. Quality coffees with good bean and tea selections. Espresso, auto-drip, Aeropress, pour-over, cold brew, and siphon. Something for everyone. Impressive.

I cant tell you whether the coffee was good or not, but I can tell that the customer service is terrible. Being experienced in serving coffee myself, I no that 2 squirts of flavor shot in a coffee is enough to have your coffee tasting like a little more than just coffee. Anymore is excessive or abusive. So the first and only day i decided to experience this coffee shop, my large order of coffee tasted like an entire bottle of hazelnut. This had some level of prejudice written all over it. I dont know what the tall lanky guy with tattoos and a Pokemon hat saw in me so that he felt he had the right to take my money and disrespect my order by flooding my cup of coffee with way too much flavor shot, but he did and his message of him not liking the sight of me was delivered. I would never go here again if I cant trust the people that make my orders.

I am so dissatisfied! First of, I was craving coffee and saw this on the way to the kids place and it was organic so that was a plus! We ordered iced vanilla capuccino, drip black coffee, and a Turkey croissant. Let me just say about my coffee, it was really good. Not too sweet. And Im glad it is organic. My husbands black coffee turned out to be good as well except he burnt his tongue because it was piping hot!!! He could barely hold onto his cup because it was boiling hot! He didnt know it was going to be that hot because weve never had a coffee place bring us very very hot coffee. It had a sour taste so were not sure if that is from the coffee being a light roast or something. The worst part was the croissant sandwich. It had a long hair! I made sure I took a pic of the long hair because it aint mine! It was buried underneath my sandwhich which was gross!!!! Also, in the menu picture it looked like the croissant was a little thicker, I saw there was eggs in other peoples croissants in their picture. My croissant was flat! The employee said there was a white sauce in it but it had no sauce whatsoever! I was excited to try it because she said it was homemade. Bad first experience. They definitely needed a new menu picture on their drive thru because it was a bit confusing. Customer service was amazing though.

Didn’t get to take a pic of the turkey bagel sandwiches because I’m prego and we was hunger lol. We went through drive thru so didn’t see the inside but outside looked nice. On the other hand price is high for the beverage and food they sale. Sandwiches/bagel are simple and basic (nothing to spend 6 bucks on for one sandwiches and bagel sandwiches 3). My husband got a small cappuccino and I got a small caramel latte that tasted more like creamy milk then any thing. Plus and as you can see his looks more like a tiny cappuccino lol. To end this review I would say this was something to try out but no I would not come back here and spend money lol not worth it.

Coffee is really good but I was told I could spend Bitcoin there online and they had no idea what it was when I got there. I still think they accept it but probably didnt train the girl who was working. I will change this to 5 Stars if they start accepting Bitcoin like other Waterbean coffees.
