Divine is a gem - beautiful vintage furniture and products I can’t stop adoring, and experienced, skilled, and lovely professional staffs I enjoy chatting to pick their brains and gain new knowledge (they don’t know I am taking note to shop wisely). I forget about the time and money I am spending in the store and online. Gigi and Chris, my Divine team (without their authorization), always go to the extra mile for me to discover, choose and deliver precious things, large and heavy (to carry upstairs, so sorry!), small and fragile (to break easily as I am horrible at handling). All these things, people, and times make me very happy to start another challenging and exciting day at work and end more or less peacefully. Thank you, Kellie and Sean, for keeping us Oak Park community going and thriving at this challenging time. Fantastic collection of furniture and worth the time on their website to find that special thing and their prices are great too. So glad we found this place. If you are looking to redecorate or just in a new place looking for a couple of interesting and wonderful pieces please do not sleep on Divine consign. This place has a most interesting system items only remain in the store for 6 weeks and prices are reduced every two weeks. You can gamble if you wish and wait for your favorite item to hit the lowest price. You could come out with the lovely piece for an exquisite price or you could be angry with yourself and tremendously disappointed. This is a place for one of us kind upscale items that you will not see in the homes of your friends and family.Go ahead be the focus of local gossip!

Do not bring items for consignment here. There is no communication and they will pre-approve items that they flat out don’t take and tell you to bring them in. They pre-approved a bed frame and we spent the money and time to rent a truck to bring it out and when we got there they said they don’t take these types of bed frames, even though I sent them a photo of the frame. Very frustrating experience.

I am now leaving a review under my husbands name because my previous review (under Jacqueline Brosius) received a reply with completely incorrect information and I am unable to get a hold of Kellie at the number I was advised to call. Clearly there are even more ongoing issues of communication. I DID send in photos of the entire headboard, metal frame and bedskirt. In fact, I was specifically asked what the frame looked like and I responded to the email stating that it was a metal frame and sent a photograph as well. I was told this was approved and I signed the agreement. I also called Iris once this was complete and she told me I could bring the items over any day of the week including weekends any time during normal store hours, which is apparently not true. I did not just show up unannounced with items that had not been pre-approved through photographs. The response that was left on my review has made me even more disgusted with this store.

If I could give this place a ZERO ⭐️ I would. This place has to be the biggest SCAM consignment store I have ever seen in my life. I read other bad reviews so I was a little skeptical about taking my brand new furniture still in the box there but I decided to give them a try and it was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I could have made.I had a brand new table that cost $1,099 and 4 chairs that cost $249 each and everything was still in the box, never opened. I ordered the set and had it sitting in my garage passed the return date and it was too big for my dining area so I decided to take it to a consignment store. Everything cost me over $2,200. I sent Devine consignment pictures and communicated through email. They pre approved my items and told me to bring the items to the store or they will pick them up for $115. I rented a Uhaul thinking I would save money and I still spent $110 to get the table set there. When I got there, customer service was HORRIBLE. Employees scattered ALL over the place. They don’t greet you or anything. You have to look for them. Long story short, they accepted my table set. I asked a couple employees how much my table set would be listed for. Nobody could tell me anything but said, someone would call you! No one never called me, they wouldn’t answer the phone so I sent a email to the owner asking, how much would my table and chairs be listed for?. NO RESPONSE. Within about 3 or 4 days, they sold my table without the chairs and sent $369 to my consignment account. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I sent the owner a long message stating that I was HIGHLY UPSET, she then decided to call but mind you, she never called me or responded to my email to talk about the price that would be listed or if the the chairs and table should be sold separately or anything at all. During the call, she apologized for the misunderstanding, not communicating and not replying to my email and offered me 10% off a purchase in the store. Just more HORRIBLE!!! This money hungry, blood thirsty lady will try to drain you dry, take your items and don’t want to give you anything if she could. As you can see, she was still concerned about taking money from me in some kind of way by trying to get me to use the money she paid me for my table to buy something at her store and offer 10% off. What is that?. taxes...A BIG JOKE! She NEVER communicated with me regarding the price after I sent her a email and asked employees in the store but she sold my table and gave me peanuts. She then listed my chairs for $230 trying to make up something for pricing my table, sold it and low balled me and not communicating before doing so but the money hungry lady found a way to pay me $80 for each chair. All I can say is, BE AWARE! THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO SCAM YOU AND I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL PROS AT SCAMMING PEOPLE. IM SURE THE GOOD REVIEWS HAS TO BE 85% FROM THE OWNER. I CANNOT SEE IT ANY OTHER WAY! I FEEL LIKE I NEED AN ATTORNEY FOR THIS SITUATION. THIS WAS TOTALLY WRONG!PUT YOUR ITEMS ON OFFER UP BEFORE GOING HERE. I HAD MUCH BETTER OFFERS FROM PEOPLE ON OFFER UP AND MARKET PLACE BUT I DIDNT WANT ANYONE COMING TO MY HOME BUT NOW I KNOW, I SHOULD HAVE TOOK THE FURNITURE TO THE PEOPLE THAT WANTED TO BUY IT BEFORE I LET THIS PLACE SCAM ME! THIS MESSAGE NEEDS TO GO TO YELP AND ANYWHERE ELSE AS WELL. PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW HOW BAD THIS PLACE IS. JUST SAD

Seductive pieces, but overpriced, dismissive salesforce, curiously timed sold items, and unanswered phone calls. On more than one occasion Ive seen items marked SOLD...ONE DAY BEFORE A MAJOR PRICE DROP. Possibly an anxious buyer will purchase regardless of next day major price reductions. However, if its a pattern its a problem. Worse, too often it appears that reduced tags are removed and replaced with new tags with a higher price, starting the price discount cycle all over again. This is my opinion after many visits to the store. As in another review, the claim of seller error in original pricing is unfair to the customer. Know the item. Price accordingly. Regarding online purchase of single items from a multiple group item listing, beware. Confirmation to pick up came days or weeks later. (The store sends at its timing discretion an email to pick up an item; based on my experience the reason is now clear.) The items were worn and torn nothing like the pictures. I am convinced the better pieces from the group were retained for easier sale and the bad pieces were held for me. I could not believe the items I picked up were ever approved for sale. Moreover, I believe after two days notice or something similar to pick up, ITEMS CANNOT BE REFUNDED. In my opinion if youre not an on your toes savvy buyer, versus a casual buyer emotionally tilted to buying this beautiful(overpriced piece), you might want to consider shopping elsewhere as I have.

I experienced an okay purchase I ordered my item offline on their website and I called to make sure item was still available and no defects. The girl was very nice “hope” and did an excellent job with helping me however when I went to pick up item it was a crack in the mirror I asked the guy who loaded it about it he said he didn’t know about it.... so I was a little unpleasant about that. So I would suggest before picking up an item to go into the actual store and look for yourself before purchasing offline other than that I had a great purchase and they have really nice furniture pieces in there for good prices I’m loving my new buffet table!!!!

Just received my two beautiful chairs. The delivery drivers were in and out 123 very courteous. I was notified the day before as to the delivery time and then again today that they would be here in 30 minutes. Loved not having to wait all day for an arrival time like other stores. Thom was our salesman and helped us decide which chairs would work best in our living room. He really knows his inventory. Hes friendly and efficient. Will look for him the next time we come in.

The customer service was amazing! They were very understanding and accommodating when it came to the issues I had picking up the couch I had purchased. Long story short... I had the couch delivered and the movers were also amazing!!! They were done so quick and without any problems! I hope to do business with them again!

Divine Consign has always been great, but their new showroom is unbelievable! Same great prices and deals, but an even better selection of furniture- if that was even possible. I love how they have become a bigger store but still seem like the fun friendly store it’s always been. The employees are great and work hard to help you find what you are looking for. I live in the southeast and found a print listed for sale at Divine Consign in their on-line gallery. I purchased it and then panicked when I realized that I had no way to pick it up. I called the store, fearing the worst, and was warmly greeted by Iris who assured me the print could be shipped to me. Iris made sure the print was carefully packaged and called me every day to alert me to delivery details (Hurricane Dorian was complicating matters for UPS!). She was incredibly attentive, kind, personable and professional. The print arrived in perfect condition and Iris made one final call to me to be sure I was pleased. This was my first transaction with Divine Consign and I was treated like a valued customer even though my purchase was not of great significance. I am incredibly impressed and grateful as the print means a great deal to me. Thank you for great customer service - Iris went above and beyond!

I have been shopping with them since the time they have opened and have bought many beautiful pieces of furniture and artwork, as well as consigned some old things after upgrading. This store is AMAZING and the staff as well as the owner, Kelli, are so helpful and gracious to do business with that it keeps me returning again and again. Im glad they were able to move once again to a bigger and brighter place with plenty of parking. I have recommended this store to all of my friends and colleagues--especially after they have seen new things that I have acquired to grace my condominium. You cannot go wrong shopping at this store for high-quality furniture and household items at more than reasonable prices!

When you go into a consignment store you dont know what to expect. When you go to Divine Consign its like walking into a brand new store. The quality of the merchandise is impeccable and priced reasonably. The service and support I found was outstanding. I learned some very creative decorating tips and I look forward to the next opportunity I have to shop Divine Consign.

I LOVE this store! I have purchased nearly everything in my house from Divine Consign. They have both new and some nearly new furniture. They work with Showrooms at the Merchandise Mart and Model Home Companies so they get truckloads of furniture in all of the time. Not kidding, the inventory changes every day and the prices are amazing! They have delivery and the delivery guys were on time and friendly! I live in the area and my delivery was only $35. I have also started to consign furniture with Divine Consign. When you sell your furniture you can use the money as credit to buy more furniture (like shopping for free) or pick up a check. I am addicted to this place. Seriously....

Divine Consign is an important resource for Chicagoland! They have a huge space filled with amazing interior and exterior furniture and decor, at rock bottom prices! I love the idea of being green and buying items that are gently worn, but they also have new things. Divine has talented and helpful staff, and the owner is inspiring in her stores vision and how they can help people. I have bought and consigned with them for several years, and recommend them constantly.

Great pieces at great prices for the patient shopper. Frequently have beautiful one-of-a-kind items, but they dont last long. Finding the perfect item could easily become a serious hobby.

Hardly anyone there but nice furniture

The more vintage pieces I found were reasonably priced. The more contemporary pieces I found a tad overpriced. They do have tags on items that have price reductions so you may get a better deal if the item is still available. Larger items may be priced to move to free up space.

The owner have a knack for resale, which includes pre-owned furniture, clothing and lately an overstock-type store with new furniture.They are very careful what type of merchandise they accept, and I have bought several pieces of furniture and really interesting, quirky pieces of decor.Love visiting this store.

As a long-time devotee of thrift and resale, I was thoroughly impressed by the selection and prices at Divine Consign on my first trip there since they moved out of their Oak Park location. I liked the previous version of the store, but their prices and selection were a bit boutique. Here, I have to say that I was surprised multiple times by the amount of goods and reasonable pricing (though the selection is certainly upscale). I have had a primarily resale-oriented eBay store since 2002, and know the local thrift and estate sale markets - many of the items of furniture, antiques and other odds and ends I saw at Divine Consign were at prices that would be hard to beat anywhere else. The staff were also well above average in their helpfulness and easy to talk to. Definitely would recommend to anyone interested in tastefully furnishing a home.

Its nice to stop in from time to time and see if theres anything I cant live without. But for used furniture the prices are quite high. I have a hard time justifying $250 for a used armchair, even if it is a nice one (same deal with $10 teacups).On the bright side, they use a pricing system where items are automatically marked down every few weeks; each item has a tag that reflects its current price and what the price will be at each markdown stage.

Came in around 1pm on saturday and was greeted by 2 very helpful members of staff and felt very welcome. Great, constantly changing selection of furniture for dining room, living room, bedroom. Major pieces as well as occasional pieces. Just bought a stunning velvet sofa for about $325. They have lamps, stools, rugs. Pretty amazing.

I am a huge fan of Divine Consign/LUXE! I have shopped at these stores many times and the staff are VERY helpful. They are knowledgeable, courteous and very flexible. I recently learned that they have donated furniture, and other household items, to families in need following disasters like the recent fires in Oak Park. I appreciate their commitment to the community!

I came back for chairs I saw 2 weeks ago. I had also called in the meantime to check next markdowns. They raised the prices, I swear!!! I can back today and they were $20 more each than when I called. The only reason I was coming back was because they were a pretty good deal for an interim solution....hmmmmmmm....

If I could give a rating of 0, or a negative number I would but sadly that is not a possibility. The staff is maladroit, very unhelpful, unprofessional & shows an unbelievable lack of interest in regards to assisting the customer. The owner is a perfect reflection of the employees of this business. The general mentality of this establishment is simply to get your money while paying & respecting you as little as possible. I WILL NEVER AGAIN DO BUSINESS HERE!

I love Divine Consign, I shop there all the time. Most of my home is furniture from there. This is my problem with Divine Consign, the owner. Every time, I go in I feel like I am not being treated like a customer but someone who is in her way. I went to the Blowout sale and was being helped by an employee, who were great, and she told them to stop helping me and get back to work. During this trip and many others, the way she talks to her employees pisses me off. I saw employees do what was clearly their jobs and then five minutes later she would have them doing jobs that were different and clearly not what they are comfortable doing. I have seen her giving employees multiple jobs at one time, which takes away from the job they were doing, then she gets upset when they cant do all of them at one time.

Bought a table and buffet SET to have delivered. Store never called to indicate delivery time until they were 15 mins from my house and I was already at work. This ended up feeling like a minor inconvenience when 2 weeks later, they call and indicate that the table I bought, paid for, and have had in my house for two weeks was sold to someone else. Their resolution? Me taking off a day of work to have them take this table (the one I saw and picked out and paid for) away and just drop off a different table. Um...Right, does the phrase SET not suggest this isnt a viable solution? Oh and having a condescending Manager tell me that this is all really simple and that Im in the wrong -- not a great service choice given the store is the one who MESSED UP.I will never recommend this place to someone ever again.
