The staff was very communicative with every exam that was being performed and it felt very genuine whenever they were explaining my health insurance benefits. Definitely recommend coming here!

Great place for thorough eye exams. Staff is so nice and responds quickly with flexibility. The physician that performed my contact exam was very personable and considerate. The office, as a whole, was very accommodating when I had to bring my toddler along for my initial exam. I had a mix up with my contact brand and they were able to resolve the issue in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this office.

This office has such a friendly culture . My regular eye appointments have always been efficient . I had some eye issues and Brie was so sweet on the phone and in person, I was so fortunate that Dr Eckler could see me right away. I left felt so taken care of and thankful for the experience!!

From the moment I walked into the facility I was greeted with a smile. My doctor was awesome and had the best attitude and gave me a sense of comfort. He assured me that he would address my eye issues and he did! The office atmosphere was warm, cheerful and relaxing. The Optical assistant was also great! I love this eye doctor. I bring my children here, and they do great with them. The coaching of what they want my children to do is very age appropriate, and they don’t get annoyed when they sometimes don’t follow directions just so. All of the doctors we have seen here have a very pleasant personality. They are also very knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely care about the health of your eyes. The technicians are also very friendly. Best of all, they all have a great sense of humor. We love when it’s eye exam time!

Great first experience. Doctor, nurse, receptionist and lens consultant were all very professional. They listened, intently, to my concerns and were very friendly. Doctor explained many details and facts about my eyes that I had questions about; and gave clarity on what I could expect at each step in the future.

We were late for my mother-in-law’s appointment because I ended up going to the wrong office. I asked the front desk person if they could reach out and let their counter part know we would be running late and they did. We were seen within 10 minutes of arriving. The eye technician took her time and did a good job with me translating for my mother-in-law. Dr. Rice was awesome. Dr. Rice took the necessary time to listen, ask questions, and answer any questions. Erica from the checkout desk was a super star! Erica went above and beyond what I would consider her duties. Erica called the referral clinic to schedule my mother-in-law for her referral. When that office didn’t work out, Erica then called 2 more offices. In order to avoid us waiting, Erica offered to call us back once she verified the insurance requirements for the referred office. By the time I pulled into my driveway, Erica was calling me to report she was able to find a new referral clinic and she had booked the referral appointment. Taking my drive time and the fact that I might be driving, Erica offered to email me the referral information. As someone who has worked in customer service, I feel the need to acknowledge those individuals who go above and beyond their duties. So often we emphasize the bad and forget to praise Individuals for doing a great job. And so today, I praise Erica and the entire team at University Eye Associates of Rocky River. Job well done!!!

They do a beautiful job. I always feel confident in their readings and exams. They take the extra time to make sure your prescription is actually accurate, and they get into the science of the eye. 10/10, the only place local that I trust with my vision.

I had put off scheduling an appointment due to Covid concerns. I decided to schedule and was reminded of the appointment time (very much appreciated) arrived a little early and was able to choose my frame for my new glasses before I was examined. Dr. Hamp is always thorough and explains his findings clearly. I was in and out in a very timely manner and the overall experience was excellent.

I had an eye infection and they were able to get me in next day. I saw Dr. Eckel (not my normal doctor) He was just as great as Dr. Hamp who I normally see! Every doctor I’ve seen in this practice is wonderful!

Then three days later it started bothering my other eye so I called and they got me in that morning immediately and we checked the problem. This is my second time visiting University Eye for a regular eye exam. Both time I saw Dr. Hamp. They are always friendly, on time and thorough. I would highly recommend this practice. Both times there have been plenty of frames to choose from within my price range I have been happy with my prescription as well. Im sorry I dont remember her name but the lady who helped me pick out my frames was so sweet and patient with me, I didnt feel rushed at all.

Been going to Dr Fix for 6yrs now and I like the practice. In the past had issues with optical department where last year new young lady did a stellar job, but she moved out of town. Waiting to see how the optical department does this year where I said just make an exact copy of last year and we are good.

Dr Eyler was professional and quick and thorough. He always presents options for care when needed. In this case I hadnt changed so I didnt need new glasses. Im glad I trusted my eyecare to Dr Eyler years ago and the relationship over the years has been good. Im glad hes younger than me so he wont be retiring anytime soon.

I have been going to University Eye since relocating to the area in 2010. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Hamp as my doctor and he is the epitome of considerate and professional. He has always given me the best care and if my problem needed a specialist he recommended the best in the field.

Even though the doctor of optometry there wrote my prescription wrong, (and verified by the eyeglass company) Univ. Eye wanted to charge me for a re-exam because it was four months past the exam. Even during COVID when we are urged to reduce our public outings, and even when you have to wait on glasses to be made and shipped. It is called a yearly eye exam, not a quarterly one. If the doctor of optometry makes a mistake, own it. Please have some integrity. Very disappointing.

Dr. Eyler is very caring and the most knowledgeable Eye doctor I have ever known. After cataract surgery, my surgeon ignored my concern with the dark shadow over half of my eye. I went to Dr. Eyler who said I had a Macular Edema (excessive swelling of the macular in the back of my eye) causing the dark shadow, limiting my vision. After 5 months of steroid drops and drops for inflamation, my vision is slowly getting better, thanks to Dr. Eyler.
