What a wonderful place for hunting for treasures. Our multi-branch family has been coming for 5 years now and have snagged many a treasure - at excellent prices. Please dont take those reviews seriously that say prices are expensive. Of course, you pay more for the spotless items than those with some loving wear. Weve added a brand-new dining room table, countless chairs, unique stands and sideboards as well as cute baskets, eye-catching pottery, fabulous kitchen wear including my favorite Christmas dishes, and even fireplace inserts. The staff has been marvelous - friendly and helpful. I so appreciate the pains theyve taken to make things as safe as possible during COVID. And a review wouldnt be complete without including Julias cafe and used book shop. Great coffee and healthy food along with a great ambiance for hanging out for hours doing work or just relaxing. A prized part of my life in Charlotte. Check it out!

I went to the Habitat for humanity store where they sell secondhand construction materials, which was donated to them by good meaning citizen of north Carolina. Here is my experience in that Wendevor street store.(1) very poor customer service(2) sky high prices for donated second hand items.(3) offers no help, when loading or unloading.(4) no refund. In my opinion the good hearted citizens (the donors) should consider who theyre helping? Is their help doing what was intended to promote?Thats my experience of today. Thanks for reaching.

Use to love this place but the prices are getting too high.I picked up an old IKEA chair (7 years old) that had missing pieces and lots of cosmetic issues. They sold it for $35. It’s originally $85. So a 7 year old chair with missing pieces is only 58% off. Seems high.

This location (Wendover) is one of the largest, but also most expensive. They must have an appraiser who knows what they are doing. Plus, they have the square footage to be able to hold on to furniture for a while. Still, the prices are pretty good, and we go here often to see what is new. They have furniture, lighting, kitchen cabinets, tile, and some home decor. Everything is donated. They have started selling new mattresses, also.

Ive always enjoyed going here to look for good deals. They pretty much have a little bit of everything in here. Although today, i noticed that the furniture and rugs were somewhat overpriced, as was pretty much everything in the store. Considering that everything is donated, you would think that the prices would be more reasonable. They have an attached coffee shop as well and the coffee is actually quite good. I bought a bowl for $4.00 that was made for the Diplomatic Reception Room in Washington D.C. that sold at Tiffanys for $100! I just bought a chair for $15 that was made for Harvard (It had the emblem on it) and it originally sold for $200. I googled to find this out, so there are some great finds there! Habitat for Humanity is great charity that supports the community in so many ways. Difficult to donate though, we filled out a Gifts in Kind form but since our donation was more that $5,000 we learned that we needed an independent appraisal. We were recommended The St. Lucie Appraisal Company, however, who did a great job preparing our personal property appraisal and filling out the IRS donation form. When you want to donate and your gift is over $5K call St. Lucie Appraisal. My highest recommendation for this wonderful charity.

THE PRICES ARE WAY TOO HIGH. I wouldnt mind paying for a good cause. All of their items are donated yet they turn around and mark up 80% of the retail price. Paying that much and you dont even get a warranty. I havent seen very many houses being built in the Charlotte area. Seems like the executives should take a pay cut so they can build more houses if theyre going to keep the price is as high as they are. The volunteers are wonderful!

You can find just about anything here. They can be a little pricey on some items. For example the smallest drinking glasses (not even a set) may cost 1.00 or more. I always find SOMETHING in here! I did have a specific item in mind, but it sold right before I arrived. Normally customer service is great, but my husband and I were disappointed today. Upon entering the building my husband went to the counter to ask about the item we were looking for. A male associate was talking to a customer and a female associate was standing there as well. She was not actively involved in the conversation, but just standing there. She looked at my husband, but did not greet him in any way or say that someone would be with him shortly. She turned away and continued to listen to what was going on between the male associate and the customer, so he was forced to seek help elsewhere. Thank goodness the young lady he found was extremely pleasant and helpful. Im sorry I didnt get her name because she was wonderful!

I have volunteered at the ReStore since its first year. I embrace the concept that the prices are set according to the original or current value focused on half pricing or less. There will be many deals and many steals! The ReStore is not a thrift store but rather a store selling items according to the quality to the best of the research. If an item does not sell at the initial price, it can be reduced at some point to reflect the optimal selling point. Many volunteers and an awesome staff make this possible! And proceeds are directed for the desperate need of affordable housing in our community.
