I love this little store. It’s hidden inside of a used bookstore so look closely and check out the extensive book collection and the many specialty vegan products that you may not know exist until you find them here. The store does not tout cheap pricing but it’s all worth the price and you are supporting a very lovely vegan enterprise! ♥️

I came here today and had such a great experience!! I’m a vegan book lover so this is the perfect place for me. I wish I lived closer so I could come all the time!! Thanks to the owner for all the recommendations and wonderful energy☺️

So so happy I found this place. I am a new vegan and this is a used book store and vegan shop. I was also happy to see that they had a product list online so I could see what they offered before going in. The owner is so friendly and they have cats! I love cats and Dina (not sure of spelling) the cat followed me around meowing for attention and pets and I was more than happy to oblige. Have already been back several times and will continue to shop here.

This place does NOT disappoint! If you are a vegan / vegetarian RUN HERE and even if you’re not this place is a utopia of awesome goods that I would highly recommend to check out. This is located in a used bookstore, I was so entranced by the food goodies I didn’t get to check that part of the store out but I definitely will in the future. Also I unfortunately didn’t get her name but the woman, who I believe may own the place, is the kindest ever! She is so passionate about the items in the store and it really shows. Check this place out!!!

This general store contains many natural household supplies and essentials, as well as health-conscious, gluten-free, vegan food options for a quick snack or a healthy meal.Fantastic service. The greener apple is also located inside of the used bookstore, there are bookstore cats!

Wonderful little place to find some more unique vegan and eco-friendly offerings! Even though larger supermarkets are starting to up their vegan game, absolutely nothing beats a shop that had always been dedicated to the vegan goods. I would highly recommend visiting and picking up some new or old favorites, maybe a new cookbook, and support small businesses. Bonus, this is inside a lovely used book store with a huge selection and cats!

Great selection of GF and DF foods/snacks! This is my go-to spot for allergy friendly snacks. Highly recommend! Make sure to say Hi to Deena, the bookstore cat while youre there!

OK selection, but didnt find what I was looking for. The guy behind the counter was watching me obviously because he thought I was going to steal something. Which would be senseless being that I could just go to the library across the street to rent a book for free and browse through a better selection. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Bought a book from the classic section to prove a point. Wont be back.

What a sweet spot! This a used bookstore meets vegan and sustainable living shop meets cat rescue! A very unique and well put together store. Lee, the owner is professional and kind. The cats running around were such a treat to see and pet while browsing books, especially Deena who will greet you at the door. The vegan section is stacked with goodies, snacks, cooking and baking ingredients, and perfect gifts like candles and boxes of chocolate. Lee also has a section for conscious living which includes reusable containers, bamboo utensils, and healthy bathroom products. The vegan cookbook section is abundant! I cant recommend stopping in to the Greener Apple enough for so many reasons. Definitely a great place to get lost in for a while.

I visited The Greener Apple a few months ago as a guest of my daughter Elizabeth and teen granddaughter Lilly. We absolutely fell in love with this store. So much so, that Lilly, 13, has asked to return and spend another afternoon meandering through all of the wonderful books available there. I left the store that day with more books than I could barely carry. I found a large number of books to help round out collections I have of several older authors. The owner was informative and delightful. I invite everyone to escape there among rows of books of knowledge and amazing tales. Enjoy!!!

This store is perfect! It has a variety of vegan products thats hard to find. Ill definitely be coming back as a regular and the owner so nice and amazing. I would recommend checking this place out even if you arent vegan.

I stopped at the Greener Apple to search for some vegan Easter candy. Glad I went today as it’s almost sold out! I was very impressed with the great eco-friendly toys, yummy snacks, vegan cookbooks, wide variety of cosmetic/toiletries, and other accouterments/paraphernalia available at this store. Lee, the owner/manager, helped me find exactly what I needed, and made helpful recommendations. This was my first stop, but I made a mental note that it will not be my last!

Super cute local place to get all kinds of vegan products. Shares a building with a used bookstore, and just like all the best bookstores, they have some resident cats! The selection of vegan and eco friendly product are great, lots of varieties, very allergen friendly, mostly organic, and the items feel current.

Visited this establishment this a.m. and was greeted by a typical New Yorkers attitude. After walking in and offering a warm good morning with the intention of making eye contact, I was given a forced meh with barely even so much as a look up from her book that must have been so captivating she couldnt bother to ask if I needed help with anything. As I lost interest from the generic variety of product, I tried to make another attempt at possibly making eye contact and to maybeeven hearing a verbal response, and to no avail. I gave myself a warm good-bye on the way out. What a waste of gas.. luckily I went to Wholefoods first hence Im still able to enjoy part of my morning trip out. The only star about this place is that it has books however its located right across from the library, so theres really no reason to return.

Quaint little shop with a surprising selection of vegan shelf-stable fare. Its existence makes me hopeful, but I am not close enough to visit more frequently.

Great place! They share the space with a book store, the owner is a lovely women and they have many wonderful products to support more environmentally and health conscious lifestyles!
