I visit Charlotte Yarn every time I come to Charlotte. They have a great selection, friendly service, and locally dyed yarns. They recently went through a remodel and the inside is fresh, full of light, and more open. I wish I lived closer, but I am lucky that I can visit a few times a year.

Charlotte Yarn has been so professional, helpful, and friendly since the day I walked into the store 2 years ago for my first ever crochet class. Remi, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure customers get what they need for projects, whether its a special order of yarn or a quick bit of help with a knitting mistake. Sandy, the class instructor, is beyond talented in all things related to knitting and crocheting. Her classes are top-notch, her skills are technically superb, and her patience is always overflowing. I am so lucky to have found Charlotte Yarn...it is truly a place of connection, talent, and fantastic customer service. I first found this store about 2 and a half years ago when my DiL wanted all natural fibers . for the grandbabys blanket. I found Charlotte Yarn carries tons of natural fibers and I actually had a choice of what to use. I got great assistance including suggestions for making corrections. Ive seen several others come in (while I have been browsing the beautiful selections ) who have had mistakes corrected or advice given, always with a smile. BUT TODAY was proof that you should ALWAYS shop small. I needed another skein of yarn to finish a blanket, She was out, the vendor was out and Remi called around until she found it for me. IN Oklahoma!! No chain store would give me that kind of service.

I love Charlotte Yarn. It has a wide variety of yarns for all seasons and will happily order yarn for you when they dont have what you want. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and if you need help with a pattern, Remi and her staff are more than willing to interpret directions and show you how to knit the directions. Year round classes are intro and advanced for all knitters and crocheters. We are fortunate to have this gem of a yarn store here in Charlotte!

I went to Charlotte yarn a few years ago when I first started knitting and Tasha(worker) helped me in finding me a pattern for a blanket I was going to make for my boyfriend and the yarn! As of today I can not express how much this shop has done to make me feel welcome! The customers are always welcoming and through all of the Covid 19 Stuff Remi(Owner) has tried to make sure she does everything she can to keep the shop open! These people have become part of my family!

Went in to find yarn for a sweater and walked out with yarn for two sweaters! Great selection of hand-dyed sock yarn. I heard they were getting in Chelsea yarns so I will definitely be stopping by again when I am in town.

Martha was extremely nice and actively assisted me in choosing specific yarn colors for mutliple custom made needlepoint belts that she made for me herself. She patiently worked with me and helped me figure out the best color schemes. She is extraordinarily talented and knowledgeable within this field and she knows exactly what she is doing. As you can see in the photos of the final products, she is a highly skilled needlepointer!

Nice yarns and fabulous staff.The owner is the best, and the staff couldnt be more helpful when I get stuck on a new project. Great customer service, and willing to help you get whatever you need. Last year, I wanted to learn to knit and found convenient classes at Charlotte Yarn. There is space in the front of the store for knitters to gather, gab, and knit, and there is usually a lovely group gathered. I love seeing all the projects they are working on. Highly recommend this store to learn to knit (or crochet... that is next for me), or stock up on yarns and supplies. Shout out to the owners daughter who is in the shop some days, and at the age of 8 or 9 (?) is quite knowledgeable, not to mention smart, adorable, talented, and hilarious.

Ive been a Charlotte Yarn fan for several years. Love their new location! Theyve recently added more casual seating areas so you can just grab a refreshment from a nearby spot, drop in at anytime, and knit til your hearts content. No scheduled class required, but they have those as well if youre looking to learn a new technique or need some help with a project. The owner and staff are super friendly and so knowledgeable. Whether youre a novice or seasoned knitter, youll find just what you need at Charlotte Yarn.

Had learning to knit on my bucket list....Charlotte Yarn is the best place to do it. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. The owners daughter is also so cute and helpful. She is only seven years old but taught me how to bind off. I cannot say enough great things about this shop.

I love Charlotte Yarn!!! From the moment you walk in you feel like you are vising an old friend. The atmosphere is warm and friendly without being pushy or hovering. They also have their own line of yarn that is dyed by a local dyer, Butterfly Inc., which you can only get at Charlotte Yarn. I brought their Panther Pride colorway and made a great pair of socks for my husband which he wore during the Panther games. Thank you for being such a wonderful shop.

I love getting yarn here but would go elsewhere if I need help with a project. Maybe I just went on a bad day, but it really makes a difference to me if a shop has knowledgeable staff who will sit down and work it out with me if I need help with a WIP. But, if thats not what youre looking for, its a great little shop with a wide variety of yarns of all price points.
