To say that we had a horrible experience with Brad, would be a complete understatement. Here we are, 4 months beyond our completion date and our job is STILL not done. Brad has a tendency to not show up, then ignore phone calls all day, and even into the next day(S) and weeks. There were many times within our job where he was scheduled to come out and would just stand us up. He wouldnt call and would refuse to answer. After hours and sometimes days, he would answer and have some sort of excuse, but NEVER an apology. We had electricians, countertop installers, and appliance installers working around Brads schedule continuously. They would need Brad to complete one of his tasks before they could continue, but what do you know? He wouldnt show up. We were constantly behind. And again, Brad was never even slightly apologetic for his actions. In fact, he had a way of making you feel like YOU were inconveniencing him. Brad told us that we needed our backsplash put in before he could install our cabinet doors. So, the day of backsplash install, he shows up, and says that he cant do the job. HE WAS THE ONE WHO SCHEDULED IT! My husband and I went to discuss it for 30 seconds, because I was (understandably) about to explode, and when we came out he was gone. We have been waiting on Brad to install our cabinet and drawer hardware, fix a piece of cabinetry that has fallen down, and order our glass doors. However, he continues to not show up to the job, answer his phone, or return messages. Now we are left with shoddy workmanship, no hardware on our cabinets, and still needing glass doors. We are BEYOND disappointed with our experience with WoodTryst. It is a complete joke. Brad is wildly unprofessional. He talks A LOT, but rarely listens to what you are wanting. If you are wanting your cabinets done, reach out and I will send you about five other names that you should consider. Just dont use this one.Unfortunately, zero stars isnt an option.Update: In response to the response to my review:- In regards to the backsplash - Brad knew we would have white silicone and white countertops. We had spoken about it a few times and he said he had seen it done in many kitchens.- We had things pre lined up as far as we could get them. They all had to work around cabinets and painting the boxes. For example, in order to install our new downdraft and gas cooktop, we needed our current cabinet shaved out a bit. Brad was supposed to do this on two separate occasions. They were just as frustrated with him as I was.-We replaced a farm house sink with another farmhouse sink. It was completely cracked and needed to be replaced. It was slightly less wide and slightly deeper. That shouldnt be an issue. Brad also told us that he would build some supports for the sink. He would temporarily use some scrap pieces from our old cabinetry to hold it. Those clunky pieces are still there and need to be replaced. It is not always possible to find the exact size of a previous sink. The sink was 17 years old and very dated. Not just in wear, but in design.- Some of our hardware was backordered. Even so, we have had all hardware pieces for over a month.-We did not make last minute decisions on the job. In fact, it was pretty straight forward. New, cabinets and drawer faces. Hardware. New design to the previous cabinetry over stove. Updated cabinet details that were more modern. Cutting out a drawer to fit a wine fridge. Adding soft close features to cabinets and drawers. Adding in more modern glass cabinets. And a change in the cabinetry to fit a warming drawer. All of this was discussed on the first visit. Brad acted as if all of this was standard.I am incredibly sorry about the other employee. I wish nothing but absolute healing. However, one has nothing to do with the other. My issue is with Brads workmanship and his lack of communication. He has refused to communicate with us during the ENTIRE process. That is completely on him.

Brad was supposed to get back to myself or my husband to resolve an issue concerning our project not getting completed due to a mistake on their end. We sent pictures, a spreadsheet, and explained all the cabinet doors needed. It would be clear to anyone. We were quoted, agreed, then were two doors short. The two doors were for a fold out cabinet which was written out clearly with the quantity on the picture and spreadsheet we gave, so when we agreed to pay for the job, this was included. Myself and my husband talked to the woman who answers the phone and manages social media. She clearly never understood the situation. My husband talked to Brad, who said he would call back after reviewing our communications, and he never called back. The customer service here is frustrating. The lack of professionalism is unacceptable. We now have two cabinets uncovered. We tried to resolve this through open communication, but we will have to take further steps. I suggest using a different company.

Couldnt be more happy! Not only did Brad come up with ideas on how to make subtle changes to really finish off the look, the workmanship and professionalism of the entire crew is second to none. If you are looking to refinish your cabinets, look no further.

Reached out for an estimate. All others got back to me and got estimates in a few days or scheduled appts to come give estimates. This guy emails back asking for photos. Replied with 2 emails and then received no response for over 3 weeks and still nothing. Not very professional.

We had our kitchen transformed by Brad and his team at Woodtryst! We had our old, dated, dark cabinets refreshed with white paint, all new doors, new drawers, new hardware, and a custom-made set of cabinets for an area in the kitchen that was once a built-in desk with shelves. The Woodtryst team works very efficiently and pays close attention to details. They did a great job with hardware adjustments and paint touch-ups at the end to make sure everything looked straight and finished. The only small downside is that they left a fair amount of saw dust inside the cabinets after drilling the holes for the hardware. It took a few times wiping out all the cabinets to get all the dust out of them before we could put new shelf liners in and restock our dishes, pots and pans, and small appliances. All in all, we are extremely satisfied with their work and love our beautiful new kitchen!

We are very happy with our newly-remodeled kitchen. Brad does great work and coordinated our new flooring, countertop and cooktop projects. He also built us 2 bookcases in other parts of the house which was a pleasant surprise for us. Brad was good about looking for ways to help us save money. We recommend him for any cabinet projects you are considering.

Brad and his team are awesome! They were prompt, professional, courteous, and thorough. Brad came out the first day, measured, explained the process, quoted the job, and gave us a timeline. Everything he said, he did.On top of that, we ordered a new oven that was slightly smaller than the original one. We had to reach back out to Woodtryst and have them build another drawer. They were so concerned with the quality of their work that, at no additional cost to us, they built a new drawer and reinstalled the oven. We were both impressed and appreciative.

I am beyond excited and pleased with my kitchen remodel. The cabinets look amazing! I was so nervous about painting them because I didn’t want them to look like I had “painted” them. My cabinets look like they have always been as beautiful as they are today. I will post pictures once I get my flooring and backsplash finished. ❤️

Brad gave me some great suggestions for my kitchen “redo” including cutting down my countertop on my island. With new lighter countertops, white cabinets, lighter walls, and a new color on my island cabinets, I feel as if I have a new kitchen- one that is so much brighter! Enjoyed working wit Brad & Anna!

Brad from Woodtryst handled our entire kitchen reno which was a gut job. He was very honest about what he was capable of doing and what he would contract out. We came to trust him quickly and he became like family. I had no problem giving him the keys to our house and leaving town while he handled everything. When a plumbing issue came up, he contacted our preferred plumber and worked with him to resolve the issue, all while we were at the beach! He even showed up to work on our cabinets early one day when a repairman came over to fix our washing machine- I was uncomfortable with the technician and home alone. I called and Brad came right over! His woodworking skills were top notch, our tile floors and wall tiles were perfectly installed, and thru it all we found out that he was also a skilled designer. He knew what the trends were and which ones would make our kitchen look dated in a few years. He knew what colors to chose which we initially did not like but went with and now LOVE! He even surprised us by squeezing in two secret spice pull out cabinets on either side of our oven. He had already worked so hard to fit in as much as we could in our small kitchen...how he managed to fit in even more is beyond me! I cannot wait to hire Brad again!
