I bought my dream car from Scenic City Motors. It was a 2006 Subaru baja. A week after I bought it the Catalytic converter had to be replaced. They paid for half of the cost telling me they already put to much money into the car. A month or two in the engine died and now I am looking at Paying anywhere between 6k to 25k labor and parts. So now I have a giant loan on a yard ornament. I work two jobs and in school, the debt I am in now because of the card they sold me is ridiculous and because they “already lost money” I am stuck with more debt then the money they probably “lost” in fixing the car.

Went to see a 2003 Honda CRV with 158k miles listed on Craigslist but not on their website, which seemed kind of sketchy but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The car was listed as having no rips, but it had a sizeable rip in the back of the passenger seat. It smelled like someone had been smoking their lungs out, even though it looked like they tried to cover it up pretty good; car wasnt in the best shape but nothing too terrible. Front tires were at about the very end of usability, even though it was listed as having good tires. Engine looked, fine, car drove ok, just needed an alignment. All would have been forgiven if it hadnt been priced at $3,800 + taxes and fees, and it was non-negotiable. Seemed even higher when we got told it was in an accident before. Had a clean title though, so most likely the insurance gave up on it and returned it to the previous owner. Worst was the service. Maybe we miss the guy everyone keeps talking up in other reviews, because we got the quintessential All-American bro douchebag who acts like he is doing you a favor by letting you buy a car and has zero selling skills, just too arrogant. Wont go there again, a big letdown, the other reviews got my hopes up about this being different than other car dealerships. More of the same really, and that isnt saying much.

We bought a Ford Explorer from here. They claimed they had their mechanic check it out. Soon as we bought it we took it to ours and on the way have a blow out from a old tire on the car. Turns out all 4 tires are different sizes, it needed a new rear ended because the one that was in it was a different model/year, as well as it needed a new transmission. What a joke this place is. They had doctored up the car so much that the day we test drove it/bought it we couldn’t notice any of this. Stay far far away from here. $9k down the drain.UPDATE: Since this company wants to be professional and respond months later to this rather than when it was posted let me clarify some facts. I had the blow out one week after having the car and learned when I had that replaced the original tires that came with the car were the wrong size. 1 month after purchasing the car we needed to replace the rear end transmission. 3 months after replacing that the front end transmission needed to be replaced. Yes we drive these cars for a living so we know well that the selling of this car was sugar coated. I have every receipt and statement as well if anyone would like me to prove anything I have stated. Extremely disappointed with this company.

I was just gonna let this go but nope. Pam is rude, the way that woman spoke at me today is not how customers are treated.So I went to see the expedition posted on FB. Ad said solid daily driver ready to go..... not really. The rear air didnt work properly (as stated in ad) not a hard fix and not really a deal breaker at that point. Then Michael pointed out that the running boards worked when they want to Im tall so not a deal breaker. So test drove and it had a hesitation kinda like plugs and wires. Michael said they would have to do a tune up, and figure out the air. So while my wife and I are talking he steps inside to help a customer. Then Pam walks out to help a couple that just walked onto I asked her who was in charge and if due to it having issues and not the way the ad stated runs and drives like a new vehicle if shes take a little less like 4600 or something? This woman looks at me like I asked for her bank info or something and snapped at me Im not taking a penny under 5000. That was the deal breaker!!!! I wanted the truck so I would have waited for it to be fixed if she wasnt so hateful. If she would have been polite no sir company policy so I cant ect. something other than hateful I still would have purchased. So say thanks Pam for costing you a cash sale today. Maybe you sell enough it doesnt matter. I own my own business, sold cars and been sales manager for a couple cellphone companies, never would I allow my employees to talk to a paying customer.

I have had some pretty horrible dealership experiences in the last 2 months. I decided to look online and ran across a beautiful Honda Accord Hybrid. Expecting to get screwed, I messaged them and about 6 other people to set up a meeting so I could look at the car.Scenic City Motors was the first place I went. While we were test driving the car, he offered to take us down the bumpiest road close to them to show us how well the shocks were. I was immediately impressed just by that alone. He was very honest, which I did not expect, given my last experience with a different dealer. They even made us copies of the receipts where they had done maintenance on the car before we even bought it!Here’s the best part: I took this car to a shop the same day I bought it and had them look it over. The shop topped off the wiper fluid and said that was the ONLY thing that needed topped off and the underside of the car was spotless! He told me I would need to get a cover for the timing belt but that was all he saw that was off. ****My husband sent them a message and they ordered the cover for us!!!!!****My next car is absolutely coming from Scenic City Motors!! I am very happy with my Honda! Thank you so much!!!!

Its been awhile since we bought it and it was time for routine maintenance on it, Aaron had said to call him when it was time. He helped me get all the routine maintenance taken care of at his cost. Who does that? We purchased a warranty for our car through them as well. Aaron gave it to us at his own cost. ??? I hadnt really sat down and thought about how above and beyond Scenic City went to tare care of us until my cousin had a bad experience somewhere else. I’m so so sorry it’s taken forever to get this review up. I was without a vehicle for nearly 2 months after a wreck. After searching and searching, Pam and her wonderful sons, got me into another Volvo. Dudes, they took care of me above and beyond and got me into a very nice Volvo XC90. I still can’t believe that this is my car. I’ve had some catching up to do, since getting a car, and I’ve been meaning to leave a review for awhile. I apologize for a lengthy review, but dudes you have to know how fair and honest this family is, and that, in the used car business, there aren’t many fair and honest places. This family doesn’t treat you like a customer. They treat you as if you’re on of their own, and they don’t pressure you into buying their products. Very genuine. I would recommend them to anyone. So I must say that I have always been hesitant of buying a car from a used car lot. I have some trust issues with car salesmen, as I have been burned before. A mutual friend of mine told me about Scenic City Motors and told me how they treat you like family and only sell the highest quality used cars. Sounds too good to be true right? I thought so until I went down to their lot to check for myself. My friend wasnt lying, The Love family helped me pick out the perfect Subaru and even let me take it by my preferred mechanic to have it looked over. I could not believe how great of shape this vehicle was in, and it was so reasonably priced! I think the thing that really made the difference for me though was the fact they werent just concerned about getting me a good deal on a great car, they also helped me get the best interest rate (which happened to be be TVFCU in case you were wondering.)! The Love family really does run the best used car lot in Chattanooga, TN, and you would be crazy to buy from anyone else!

Horrible vehicle!! I went to this place, paid nearly $14,000 CASH for a Tundra. It was clean and had good mileage for the year. I made the deal with the knowledge Id want to replace all four tires soon. I noticed there was an alignment issue, I was told, The front tire is a little low and that would account for that, Ive had to put air in it I believed him since the condition of the tires werent great.I made the deal and drove off headed home to Michigan. (I used to live in Chattanooga, had been working in Georgia for my job so I was more comfortable buying a used vehicle in the South because of the rust issue in the North).I stopped at a motel that night, the next morning when I left the check engine light came on, I took it directly to the auto parts store and got the code readout, although I didnt understand the jargon It seemed to be running fine so I told myself Ill wait until I get home and have it looked at (Id been working away from home for over 3 months).Well I made it home that day, thank God! Because the following morning I left my home to run some errands and have it looked at and it wouldnt go above 40mph! Its whats known as Limp mode.A design feature that will not allow the vehicle to have further damage caused to it when the computer recognizes the check engine light has been on for extended periods of time. Although this feature can be temporarily reset by various methods, I.E.. disconnecting and reconnecting the battery as well as other strategic steps to conceal or mask a problem!I digress... I had it towed to a very reputable mechanic. $2,200 repair for whats called an Air Intake Pump. I take a photo of the truck being hauled off by a tow truck and send it to Michael at scenic motors saying Thanks! they were kind enough to send me a check for $400.00 towards a $2,200.00 repair! $400.00 while I only had the vehicle for two days!! I wouldve rather they told me to get screwed, because thats what happened!The $2,200 I spent on the repair? NOTHING! The repair costs are still climbing! A wheel hub was bad, $400.00! Im about to take it in for another repair soon because theres another major problem!All this, so far and they only sent me $400.00 bucks! I guess thats all their name and reputation is worth to them! And I never got a phone call since, apologizing or asking how everything worked out!! When I was inquiring about the truck they blew my phone up (after work hours even).BTW. I did put the new tires on and they solved nothing, the alignment was actually way out! Ive put over $3,000 into this POS and still counting! Ive tried selling it but people smarter than me want no part of it! Ive tried trading it in, breaking down and getting car payments, they wont give me anything for it because the experts know its a pile of junk!So Im stuck with it! Thanks Scenic City... Stellar job... I hope the $400.00 bucks you sent me didnt set you back too badly!Take your time, shop around and go elsewhere! My situation might be 1 in 10... Do you want to be another, 1?

Everything looked good and was ready to go but I had an engine light come on just a day after buying the car? They very quickly took care of the car with a certified mechanic. In addition, they did not charge me anything for the repairs. They are not the type of people to deceive others into purhasing unreliable cars. Happy with my experience at SCM, and I’d consider buying another vehicle from them in the future. Aaron, Mike, and Pam are all great and hospitable. I flew into Chattanooga from two states away, after a week of searching online for a Ford Edge. The Edge they had didn’t show up in my searches of the major used car websites, and I happened to find it on Craigslist. I spoke with Aaron on the phone who was very professional and personable. I put a small deposit down to hold the vehicle until I could inspect it. When I arrived a few days later, Pam and Aaron greeted me and were nice enough let me keep my luggage in their office during the test drive. They were upfront about the car, its history, and answered all of my questions. Their patience was commendable, because I spent close to two hours going over the car with a fine tooth comb. They provided ramps and a creeper so I could get underneath to inspect everything to my heart’s content. I have experience as a mechanic and am particular about my vehicles, so it meant a lot to me that they were accommodating. I was never rushed, and they regularly offered me water/refreshment as it was a hot/humid day. The few cosmetic and preventative maintenance items I discovered, they were willing to work with me and make me happy as a customer. For example, Aaron gave me a ride to the auto parts store down the road and let me use his discount to get new windshield wipers. The paperwork process was quick and painless. The price they advertised on their website is the price I paid out the door, plus a $12 temporary tag fee. An out of state buyer purchasing outright: no tax, no extra or hidden fees. What you see is what you get. I’ve now owned my Edge for 14 days, and have put 4,000 miles on it from family vacation/reunions/roadtrips. Zero problems whatsoever. So yes, I recommend visiting the good folks at Scenic City Motors.

Great buying experience...I highly recommend buying a car from Scenic City Motors! I recently helped a close friend find a car to replace her Volvo XC90 that was totally lost to an unfortunate accident. I found an interesting car at Scenic City and got in contact with Pam who was incredibly helpful right from the beginning. She responded after hours with a copy of the CarFax, and then again on Sunday to answer questions about the super nice XC90 that Scenic City had on their lot. We live nearly 100 miles away in Knoxville and got stuck in traffic on the way down to Scenic City, but Pam graciously agreed to wait for us past closing. We took a nice highway/back road rest drive and spent time looking over the car before making a great no-pressure deal on it. The whole buying experience could not have been better. It was such a pleasure to do business with a locally-owned family business, and to be treated so well.
