Well-meaning mechanics and costly mistakes pretty much sums up my experience in Cheshire over the last ten years. Because word-of-mouth wasnt working, and dropping off my vehicle turned into a crapshoot of when will I get my vehicle back, will it be fixed this time, and how much will it hurt, I was determined to find an automotive professional that I could trust without question! Finally, I found that person!! If youve ever felt the frustration I have, you must bring your vehicle to Matt at Triple J Automotive - he is an artist!! For the past three years I have brought my 2002 Dodge Ram truck to another Cheshire mechanic. From day ONE I have had an issue with the engine light on and no matter how many times I brought it in, the same problem would happen. We actually felt lucky if the light stayed off for more than a day. Matt diagnosed the problem correctly, fixed it and had the truck ready when he said he would. He also determined that there was a secondary problem created by a past fix!!! Matt doesnt just say these things, he shows you everything and his invoices reflect the detail of his work (its like a novel). At some point we are planning on selling the truck and if a potential buyer asks us what was done to the truck, the invoices tell the story, down to a nut. Fortunately, the first face you will meet at Triple J is Kristen. She is the one who will keep you updated on everything - no surprises and shes wonderful!

Matt is an amazing mechanic and very knowledgeable. He explains very thoroughly the steps he has done to make the repair. Highly recommended! I had my husband’s old 96 Ford F-150 towed here to be restored, as a surprise to him. Matt and his assistant were amazing to work with! Always knowledgeable and friendly. I had an issue with my brakes making noises so I called to setup an appointment. They made room for me and offered me a loaner car if i needed it. I didn’t but it was nice to have the option.They are very knowledgeable and honest. They went through the costs and explain why this was happening before doing anything and then made the repairs quickly and the car runs like new.They earned my business from now on.

I own a 2011 Volvo V50 which had a rear alignment issue that was so bad it would wear the inside of the tires right out and leave the outside untouched. Matt at Triple J had to remove the oem control arms which are non adjustable to be replaced with adjustable control arms. A bear of a job as a subframe needs to be removed to perform this task.. Matt came through with flying colors. Car rides and handles like new. I highly recommend Triple J as I am very impressed!

I picked Triple J because it was the closest to where my car broke down. I was amazed at the level of service and hospitality from an auto repair shop. They drove me back to my car after I dropped off my disabled vehicle. They estimated the price accurately and got the work done quickly. Very friendly and easy to work with.

Had a great experience with Triple J. Was in town after driving cross country in a 20 year old Mitsubishi and had a punchlist of small repairs as well as some overall concerns prior to the return trip. Matt and Kristen were super communicative, the shop is immaculate, and despite Matt suffering an injury the previous day he STILL turned my Montero around quickly and found workarounds for some of my automotive ailments and lack of parts availability for an aging vehicle. He walked me through all potential issues and gave understandable explanations of the problems and potential solutions - as well as identifying what needed attention now vs. later. Overall, so happy I found their shop. Some very cool restorations in progress there as well!

After 10 years of sitting, my Camaro Z/28 is back on the road where it belongs. Matt and Kristen provide an OVER THE TOP experience. Not only are they extremely honest, but they are upfront and provide you with the most amount of information related to your cars needs. It is very seldom that I give a 5 Star review as I see it like an A+ in school in that the work should be above and beyond what is expected. I have to say my experience with Triple J was just that. My wife came home with a chirping sound and upon checking under the hood quickly saw that the S-belt was shredding. I immediately called my “go to” shop and they were booked till Monday. Tried a couple other shops with the same response. Upon reading Triple J’s outstanding reviews I gave them a shot. From the moment I talked with Kristen on the phone to the final follow up call from Matt that same night at 9:30pm when the repair was complete, the service was of the highest quality. They were honest and more than fair in their quoting of the price. In addition Matt took the time to check for any other issues and was honest and very detailed in other stuff he saw but was not a major issue at the moment. Their service alleviated a lot of stress that would have happened the next day if we did not have the car with my wife traveling for her job. I have to say I may have found a new “go to” shop. Great service, very friendly environment where Matt actually walks you through step by step what he will do to fix any issue you have coming in. Honestly the most thorough and welcoming experience at a mechanic shop, really took the time to explain what was wrong with the car. Matt fixed my O2 sensor and fuel vapor canister recently and each time easy and transparent and quickly done. Kristen as well kept me up to date on my car and when it would be ready and was very nice and showed just excellent customer service. Very friendly, professional and detail oriented shop. Brought my car in for a brake inspection and they not only repaired them, but also addressed a lot of detail (more than I would’ve thought) about what went wrong with the old brakes, would absolutely recommend.

I have been having Matt service my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a good two years plus by now. His expertise is top notch. He is absolutely the best when it comes to communications (to the point where he messages photos of what he finds so you can be sure he us not drumming up work that doesnt need to be done. Just picked up the boat from the marina and brought her home. The jeep handled perfectly (Matt just replaced the brake lines that were rotted). My dad and I had just bought a Datsun 280z and driven from the middle of Pennsylvania when it started to overheat we pulled into a gas station and sat for 2 hours trying to fix it with some local guys. Never have I ever met someone as dedicated as Matt/Kristen. They are amazing. Cared for my car as if it were their own. The amount of detail and and effort they put into doing the best for what I wanted for my car while STILL working within my price range is truly what i respected the most. I don’t know much about cars. I just had a vision of what I wanted my car to look like and how I wanted it to perform. Matt just took over from there! The only shop I have ever dealt with where they communicate effectively, double and even triple check on the process with you at all times. I had all by rotors and break pads installed (performance rotors I must add) and rims/emblems/front of the car all blacked out. Had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Triple J. First, I thought they were more of a specialty shop and only did work on classic cars. Im so glad I called to check. They do indeed work on all makes and models (in addition to pretty much everything else...ATVs, snowthrowers, boats etc.) and great to work with from start to finish. Kristin at the front desk is a pro. Matt, the owner and Chief Tech, took about 10 mins to explain to me in great detail the what and why of the repair work on my car. Its a great shop. I will not hesitate to return. Thankful theyre here in Cheshire.

Triple j auto was recommended to me by a friend so I brought my F150 there to have a exhaust manifold replaced. I met with Kristen and matt and explained the issue I was having with my truck. They were both very helpful and knowledgeable. Matt did the work on the truck and he did a great job. Great communication with the customer and overall a great experience.

Matt really does treat your ride like his own. He straitened out my MDX when no one else could. Just a all round brilliant wrench attached to a really nice guy. Mostly he thoroughly explains and shows you what you need and how hes going to fix it.

Matt came to our rescue last night, literally!!! We had just picked up a LS1 swapped Datsun 280Z in Pennsylvania, unfortunately it overheated, fortunately Matt came by, took the car back to his shop, bare in mind this was 9:00 at night, and proceeded to troubleshoot the problem, explain everything in layman’s terms and complete the repairs. Matts knowledge was nothing but impressive, he had everything in stock and made recommendations on how to improve the car in the future. We will now be making the journey from Glastonbury for Matt to do all of our work. I have a number of vehicles and have always been disappointed in service, attention to detail and feedback, Matt fulfils all of these.....

I called Matt on a Saturday and he called me back on a Sunday.. I brought my Toyota 4Runner first thing Monday. Have gone to Matt for a few different services in the past year. But today he really saved me and my truck. I was due for a, what I thought, routine 5k mile oil change. Come to find out, there was barely any oil in my vehicle. No active leak. No reason to think there was an issue. Had always gotten oil changes on time at a GMC dealership. Yeah, well clearly that was a mistake. It was apparent the dealership was using sub par oil/filters and my truck was the victim. Matt took care of everything, explaining as he went. Needless to say, I wont be going back to the dealership for any services after todays findings. Have already recommended Triple J to my family and friends and will continue to do so.

Matt from Triple J is absolutely unbelievable. I have taken my 77 Chevy to his shop a few times now and he has routinely gone above and beyond in almost every way imaginable. He just recently saved my truck and now its running the best it ever has (and he managed to do it in just a single day). Finding someone who you can trust to get the job done right is extremely difficult, but with Triple J around thats no longer an issue. Absolutely outstanding! I was in Cheshire just for the weekend, having driven up from Maryland to visit a friend. My brakes went out less than a day before I was planning to leave (and I drove others, who were depending on me to get back home in a timely manner!). I happened upon this shop by necessity (it was the closest place that I could safely drive to with bad brakes), and thank God I did! Matt found the problem immediately, called to give me the low-down promptly, drove to the parts store (which was closed, but he knows the owner) himself to get what he needed, and stayed late to complete the repair in time for me to get on the road safely the following day. I brought my classic 72’ Lemans to two different shops for repairs multiple times. When I got my car back it would run decent for a few drives then break down and would get towed back for more repairs. This happened multiple times. The previous mechanics I went to could not fully diagnose the issues.A friend of mine told me to try Triple J Automotive in Cheshire because he had a great experience there. I figured I would give the car one last shot to be fixed or I would have to sell it because of the aggivation it was causing me.When I brought the car to Triple J Automotive I was skeptical because two other shops could not diagnose the problem. Matt, the owner of the shop talked me through all the problems with the car on a daily basis. He was very informative and meticulous. He ended up properly identifying my main issues and then some.I was very impressed with the work that was done to the car. My car has never ran as good as it is now. I will definitely be using Triple J Automotive in the future.

I drive over 30 min to make the trip to Triple J Automotive. Well worth the drive when working with Matt. His knowledge and expertise and most importantly honesty is what makes him a great mechanic. He never tries to up charge his services but only recommends what’s best for your vehicle. An example was my brakes. Subaru had a recall on a windshield motor part. Upon completion of their “friendly” multipoint inspection, they were adamant about replacing all 4 brake pads and rotors. Mileage of the car was 70k. I declined what they recommended and drove down to Matt the following day since I already had an oil change scheduled. As always, Matt closely examines my vehicle and states that my brake pad and rotors are still great in condition. He changed my rears at 90k and just did my front brakes at 112k. The reason for the long story is that Matt only does what is best for your vehicle. He only uses the best products for your vehicle which only increase the longevity of your vehicle’s life. Since I have been going to him (over 4 years now) my Subaru and my wife’s RAV4 have been running better than ever. Even after my first oil change with him, I noticed that my MPG improved. (Again another sign that Matt only uses the best on your vehicle). My motto is you only pay for what you get. So if you want to go to a chain auto shop for service to save a quick buck or two for cheaper parts and service, then understand the risk you take on the health of your vehicle. However, if you want to true honest expertise at Triple J Automotive, I highly recommend going to see Matt and his team there!

I have a 2015 bmw 435 x drive I had Matt the mechanic at triple J install a catless down pipe, evolution race works charge pipe, and a full awe tuning cat back exhaust. The car came out phenomenal the amount of attention to detail Matt out in from my tips lining up perfectly with my bumper, to the charge pipe showing he brand in my engine bay every single part was installed perfectly and I would recommend you to use Matt for what ever parts you need in your car no matter what kind. He is such a great mechanic and has so much knowledge on all car brands that no matter what you have you can count on him do go above and beyond to get the job done right. I just would like to say the work and dedication that you get from this establishment is beyond amazing. Every time I go to this shop to get work done, I feel heard, acknowledged, and treated with respect. I just had my engine blow and Matthew Jannitto was nothing less than amazing. Not only was my car done in a week!, which he literally got a bone stock dry new engine which is due for hours and hours of work. Upon getting work done he was always texting, calling, and sending pictures always updating me on every little thing. A few months back a caliper froze on me; I took my car to a neighborhood garage. They told me the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced on the rear so I said go for it, they had good online reviews and seemed like nice guys. Fast forward to now- I’m getting new tires from Triple J and I ask Matt to give everything a look-over as well. We find out the other shop charged me for a full rear rotor, brake, and caliper replacement, but only actually replaced half the job. Before going to Matt the car was making some abrasive sounds in the wheels (again, very soon after getting a “replacement” job) that I attributed to the general age of the car. After leaving Triple J my car felt and sounded like the first day I got it. As someone who doesn’t know too much about cars, a mechanic you can trust is worth their weight in gold. Matt cares about what he does, cares about his customers, and really enjoys doing it. Don’t go anywhere else but Triple J.
