A friend of mine runs a charity called project fire buddies. He basically does really awesome stuff for kids with serious medical conditions through the local fire departments around Chicagoland. I was able to help him bring professional wrestlers from All Elite Wrestling to the firehouse for all the kids in his program, and the kids got to meet the wrestlers and play with them. I called Windy City Ice Cream last minute to rent an ice cream truck for the kids. When I told the owners what it was for… they refused to let me pay. They sent over a truck FOR FREE and picked up the tab for 50 pieces of ice cream. Very professional, very clean, ice cream was awesome, and all the kids at the event loved it. I’ll be making sure to use them in the future!
After striking out with many ice cream trucks for our sons 3rd birthday, we found a diamond in the rough with Windy City Ice Cream! Elena was incredibly responsive and on top of the entire booking process and followed up just like she said she would to confirm our booking the day prior to the event! Our ice cream man was also excellent - on time, sweet to the kids, very friendly and wore a mask while he served up the treats. We hosted an outdoor corporate event for 130 people and Windy City Ice Cream was tremendous. They showed up as scheduled, had a great variety of ice cream and served everyone quickly. Had them come out for a client event at work. Elena was VERY easy to work with and was able to answer all questions and honor requests. Day of, our driver was very courteous. There was a great variety of ice cream and it was all served cold but not frozen rock solid (where it hurts to bite into) like some trucks.

We could not have been happier with this Windy City Ice Cream. We rented them for our daughters 6th birthday party and it was a huge hit. She even got to get on the truck and pass out the ice cream! We paid for 50 ice creams and when we didnt use all 50, they let us pick out the last 10 to have in our freezer. The communication right from the start was excellent. We highly recommend!!!

We rented the truck for my grandsons 4th birthday party with covid concerns it was a perfect treat each item was individually wrapped and the variety they offered pleased kids and adults they allowed my grandchildren to get inside and pass out the treats to their guest fun time by all many adults said they hadnt had ice cream from a truck since they were kids highly recommend this for any function and staff are easy to work with

In this age of Covid 19, Windy City Ice Cream was the PERFECT solution to help our company have a fun event. The driver was gloved and masked, and all ice cream treats were individually wrapped. We sent employees out in small groups that enjoyed their treats while maintaining social distance. Fun was had by all! I highly recommend Windy City Ice Cream. We had a great experience working with Windy City Ice Cream Truck for our daughters birthday. It was a great way to safely celebrate with social distancing. Communication was easy, the truck was on time, would definitely work with them again.
Inclement weather necessitated an easy rescheduling of the date on which we were scheduled to have the truck visit the first in-person, socially distanced event at a church in Evanston. Communications with the owner before and after the event were timely and contained all the info we needed, and on the day of the event, the driver was prompt, friendly, and served ice cream with a smile. I would definitely recommend Windy City, and hope to have them at another event next year.
