I came to Legend of Time rather purposefully as they happen to be the only Junghans authorized dealer anywhere near central Illinois. I drove 2 hours from home to visit the store to find they were only taking appointments on the weekend. Despite the short notice, Mark answered my call and drove an hour out of his way on a weekend to come work with me.When he arrived, he was very friendly and had great hospitality. He grabbed my mother and I water and coffee, took care to listen to exactly what we were looking for, and brought out all of his options for me to see. He helped me make the exact right choice on a Max Bill.I cannot speak much to his inventory outside of Junghans; that is all I was interested in while I was there. That being said, it seemed like he had a good selection. He is price competitive, attentive to customer satisfaction, and has a great sense of humor. I purchased my first automatic European watch from them this week. They were very responsive to emails, offered personal service and had a very nice selection. I had zeroed in on a few watches online but it makes a huge difference to go try them on and discuss with an expert.

Fantastic place. Came in to have an heirloom piece looked at. Upon thorough examination, their recommendations were spot on and it was all really reasonably priced. I was so happy as i was concerned that the time piece has ran its course -nope, good as new. Had such a great experience, that i came back and purchased a gift for my mom.

I went in for a simple battery change of a digital watch. $20 wasn’t a bargain, but it was acceptable. I’ve never not had a battery replaced where they didn’t set the time for me, but this one didn’t bother. As I started to adjust it myself, I noticed one of the buttons no longer functioned. He took it to the back room for another extended period only to come back and let me know it still wasn’t working and they would send it offsite to have someone look at it. I was told someone would contact me. Two days later, nothing, so when I called, I was told their vendor wouldn’t even touch it because it was digital. The watch technically worked, but I couldn’t set the time so it was effectively useless. Once I got home, I took a crack at it with a set of jeweler’s screwdrivers, quickly diagnosed the problem and now it works like new. What a waste of time!!!

They are interested in building relationships with their customers based on an understanding of the customers’ true direction with such a personal item as opposed to simply selling a watch. Their access to rare and desirable pieces (from manufactures such as Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and IWC) is matched only by their ability to counsel their customers on making the right selection. Highly recommended.

Please avoid for watch repairs. Dropped of my watch to be repaired and was promised a quick turn around and would come back perfect. Well they fixed one thing but damaged another, three times. Each time I pointed out the damage I was told they dont see it and called me a liar, they were rude and unprofessional. After a couple of months I got my watch back and its still not perfect but I was afraid of what else they would do to it if I left it for another repair. I know they use an outside watchmaker but the forbade me from talking to him directly and they just pretended not to see the damage. They also argued that nicks and scratches on a newly polished watch were insignificant and not damaged. Please use anyone else, they might quote you a lower price but you will end up paying more in the end.

I traveled over an hour to look at their amazing selection from their website. Their website claims they have Rolex Batman, James Cameron, Yachmaster, Pepsi in-stock when in fact they dont. When I asked the worker about them he said we sold them awhile ago..., and I said why are they on your website? He didnt know and didnt apologize.What would happen if I added on of the watches to my cart and purchased?This was over a week ago and they still have the same watches on their website! Why dont they take them off if they dont have them in stock? Because they are luring folks to their store (like me) - that will be upset after the visit (and give a negative review).

The best part is that I returned 20 minutes later because my boss requested the watch to be sized too small on accident, so they resized it again in just a couple of minutes free of charge.

I knew exact models I was looking for but was not sure which one I wanted. Also, I knew really well how much I wanted to spend. I was greeted by Mark and Vlad - they explained everything I wanted to know about two of my choices, and showed me a few other pieces from their large new/used inventory. I ended up actually settling for one of the Rolexes which they had in stock, a popular Submariner model, gently pre-owned, with Legend of Time warranty and that bulky look everybody is going for nowadays! Also, the one I got had a white dial and I was looking for a black face Submariner and next day Tatiana, the manager, called me to follow up to make sure I was happy with my purchase or if I needed a black dial specially ordered for me. what a service! I love Legend of Time and I love my pre-loved Submariner!

Ive been a customer at Legend of Time for many years, and go there for all watch-related needs. Mark, Vlad and Tanya provide great customer service and are very experienced in the luxury watch market. I purchased several swiss watches (Omega Seamaster, Baume & Mercier and Tag Heuer Aquaracer), and for a great price. The guys do an excellent job in updating their inventory, so stopping by the Legend of Time watch store always makes for a nice visit.
