Recently attended the CBC company picnic held in the companys parking lot. My children and I arrived about 40 min prior to the time stated on the invite due to limited parking. While I waited for my husband about 10 min after we get there a woman (I later found out was one of the owners) came outside to yell at the few employees, who had already clocked out for the day and were waiting for the picnic to start, because they were not setting up or working. One employee was singled out in particular and was called out of his name. She then started to say that the picnic had not started so why are people already out hanging out with their families and didnt anyone read the invite? (Mind you, my 2 kids and I were the only non-employees there) She then proceeded to say in a very rude and sarcastic manner, Sure, just enjoy yourselves and your drinks and just wait for your free stuff!. That last comment was really uncalled for. It made my 9yr old daughter so uncomfortable that she asked if we should leave.1. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their employees.2. Its safe to say we will not be at the next one.
