Had a great experience with the team at Studio East6 customizing the dress after seeing it on their website overall. However, it definitely was a different experience due to covid. Wish the first consultation was more exploratory and went over more than the specific customizations I was looking for, since I dont have expertise in fashion and styling. But the team was patient with me with some back and forth on the fabric color and was very communicative and responsive. In the end, I loved my outfit and thought it was gorgeous and unique. I would definitely recommend Studio East6 and use them again myself.

Rupa was FANTASTIC at helping me figure out the perfect fusion outfit for a courthouse wedding ceremony. She did an excellent job figuring out what color of dress would work with my partner’s hard-to-match burgundy suit color. Rupa’s measurements were almost spot on; I only needed to take the waist in by 1/4”. I was down to the wire on order timing, but Studio East 6 got me my outfit on roughly the timing promised. Everyone was super communicative when there was a shipping delay, and I always felt like they were on top of things and knew exactly what was going on w my order. I was nervous about buying a dress sight unseen, but in person, it was even more gorgeous than in pics. This dress is incredibly comfortable and photographed really well.

I went to Studio East 6 looking for an Indian-western fusion wedding dress. They met with me to discuss ideas from their numerous designer collaborations, then were *very* thoughtful in communicating modifications I wanted from the base design I chose, from the color to neckline, everything. During production, they sent me regular updates and photos---so despite not actually trying on my dress before receiving it, I felt comfortable with every step. And, the craftspeople in India are just incredible. It feels so special to have something handmade just for me. (No photo, since wedding still upcoming, but I am very happy with the final dress!) Highly recommend.

Me and my husband got married in May 2018. I decided to go in for a consultation with Studio East after a friend recommended them. Let me say, deciding to wear Indian clothes for our reception was exciting yet terrifying for me. I hate shopping on Devon or most Indian shops, the marked up prices, the back and forth, the attitude. I found Studio East6 back in 2019 when shopping for an outfit for my sisters early 2020 wedding. I ordered a beautiful gray Shloka Khialani lengha online and was absolutely thrilled with how it looked and fit without custom sizing.I loved their selection of designer Indian wear so I knew that I wanted to work with them again to design my bridal lengha. I was a bit apprehensive doing all of this remotely as I started wedding shopping at the start of the pandemic in Spring 2020, but Rupa and Sonia made the process so easy and seamless. I fell in love with the Falguni Shane Peacock Naina lengha, and they were both so communicative and helpful with answering my questions as I narrowed my selection down to a customized blush pink hue. It was so simple to follow their measurement instructions to ensure the right fit and I appreciated Rupa double and triple checking based on my sizing from the previous order.We rescheduled our wedding twice and we were finally able to celebrate in April 2021. Throughout all the replanning, Sonia and Rupa kept me up to date on production and sent over pictures and videos of my lengha so I felt comfortable and assured along the way. I was having an Indian-Chinese fusion wedding and had a unique request and a tight budget. But, Rupa worked with me and got very creative (both financially and fashion-wise) to create the most perfect and beautiful wedding outfit! I was having my wedding ceremony back to back with the reception, but still wanted two different looks. So I needed something that I can easily change into without messing up my hair/make up. So, we came up with one blouse that would go with two different skirts (one red traditional skirt for the ceremony and one more modern skirt for the reception). The end result was just perfect and the planning / designing process took about 2-3 months, and I got the outfit about 3 months before my wedding! I couldn’t have asked for anything more — thank you Rupa for making me feel so special and like a princess on my wedding day!

I really cant say enough great things about working with Rupa. I live in philadelphia and worked entirely remotely with her to find the right outfit for my sister’s wedding. We went back and forth with countless links until we identified the right outfit. She then helped me customize all the details like color, embroidery, fit. Her attention to detail is just outstanding. For example, prior to shipping the outfits from India, she and her team do a thorough measurement check. This identified one measurement that I was a little bit concerned about and within two days they had it adjusted in India before even shipping it here. Start to finish, my custom payal singhal outfit was in my hands in 7 weeks. I am particularly impressed with Rupa when I compare working with her to my experience with a different store. I ordered another outfit from the same designer through a different store and have had countless issues with errors and timing (4 months after placing that order I still do not have my outfit and there were fewer customizations!). So if you find an outfit at a different store but its made by a designer that Rupa works with, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering through Rupa at Studio East 6 - you will not regret it!!

Rupa was AMAZING to work with at Studioeast. I feel like she and the team behind her went above and beyond for making 10 custom made bridesmaids outfits. I felt like she completely understood the vibe & look I was going for. So i wanted each of my BMs to have a different outfit on and I had a difficult time describing that with words so I drew out what I was imagining and then felt it was way too complicated. Anyways, I showed it to Rupa, and she was actually excited and said she wanted to execute what I wanted and she made it happen!When i say she understood what I was looking for and went above and beyond...well I wanted a yellow floral pattern and none of the fabric stores had a pattern that would work. Where do I start? I was originally trying to have my Indian-fusion wedding lehenga made with someone else and I am so glad that I found Rupa and Studio East6 instead. The minute I walked into the store, Rupa was able to identify styles and outfits Id like (Im not a traditional red wedding Indian bride) and would fit with the aesthetic I had for my wedding. I tried on two outfits and the second ended up being my wedding dress! It was so easy. After measurements, I stayed in contact with Rupa and came in for a final measurement about 7 weeks before the outfit shipped to the states. Once the outfit was complete, Rupa sent photos and we set a date to try on the dress. Rupa even let me come in several times before the outfit shipped so I could try on the dress and face-time with family/friends who wanted to see it. Once I picked up the dress, Rupa sent me trusted tailors who did a fantastic job altering the dress to fit my updated measurements. I was thrilled by the final result. My wedding dress was truly the most beautiful thing Ive ever worn and I felt like a princess. Rupa and her team are so kind and sweet and never made me feel stupid for the questions I asked. I even asked Rupa if anyone ever had buyers remorse after putting a deposit down and she said no. Thats because she truly tries to make the outfit to what you want and wants you to be happy. Rupa and her team helped design our bridesmaid, flower girl, and ring bearer outfits for our wedding this past May. I had a very specific vision, and just couldnt find what I was looking for pre-made...so I put my faith in Rupa, and I am SO glad I did! All the outfits turned out so beautifully, and were great quality. We worked almost exclusively over email, and the process was still very fluid and enjoyable. The girls absolutely loved their dresses, and they fit them like a glove! Many of our guests commented on them too, saying how beautiful the fabric was and how well the dresses married the Indian tradition with something more modern and Western without seeming contrived. Our little ring bearers kurtas had embroidery on the collar and sleeves, and it was beautiful and ornate without being gaudy (which is hard to find!). Overall, I loved the experience, and would not hesitate to recommend Rupa and her team.
