OMG! Are you serious? Columbia Sportswear is STILL closed, after all this time! It’s OCTOBER 2020. COVID-19 is NOT gonna be over with NO TIME SOON. How come every other retail store can MAKE ACCOMMODATIONS for IN-STORE shopping, but Columbia can’t? What’s really going on!? Because I’M “not” AND NEVER WILL BE an “online shopper.” It’s too risky & dangerous. I’m NOT putting “my financials” online for NOBODY to steal. Retail stores can put ALL types of “safety nets” they want on their sites. That STILL don’t/won’t make it safe to “shop online.”

1 if my favorite shops so far, the best prices, the best materials, the best products. Suitable for the entire family, for hiking, for sports, for the mountains, for skiing. I found my shoe size, as the shop goes with 1/2 sizes.

Located conveniently on Michigan Avenue, this store has a very decent collection of outdoors wear. We got there right when it opened and the staff was welcoming and friendly. They completed a somewhat complicated exchange quickly and easily. Great customer service!

Returned a coat I only had for about two months that was beginning to rip at the pocket. Long story short, Brad, the guy who appeared to be the store manager and happy to let it go to his head, gave me minimal help and basically just said go find a new one and pay the difference. I’m spending hundreds of dollars, a little more kindness wouldn’t hurt. Anyways, with the promos going on I was able to get a better coat for just $10 more. Probably would have been more inclined to take advantage of the big deals but Brad left a bad taste in my mouth. Good brand, decent deals, overall pleasant and helpful staff. Except you Brad, stop acting like a jerk 🙃

Ive never been hiking before but went to Columbia to look at my clothing options for an upcoming trip and I have to say, Kenyatta was one of the most patient people Ive ever met. I honestly had no clue what I was looking for and she gave me recommendations, walked me around the store to look at different products, looked up products for me and let me try on various pieces.The level of customer service she showed really went above and beyond. Id go back to shop in a heartbeat. The store itself was well stocked, clean and uber organized but the time she took to help me really made the experience!

It is ways fun to look around to see what is new and/or on sale. The staff was helpful and friendly and the store looked great with what was on display. I will definitely come again!

Columbia is not my favorite out door brand but its quality is unbeatable at this price level. About this particular store, they have bunch of options. First floor is for women, second floor is for men. There are some merchandise on sales all the time. Their classic fleece is always 29 bucks with multiple color options. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they help you find anything you want. Highly recommend this store to all of you

Doesnt really represent the full figured community... purchased a coat online, didnt quite fit in the hip area. I returned the coat to the Columbia store located in the downtown area, the staff was extremely nice to help me in the very small section of the full figured coats, I exchanged the coat for a larger size only to realize that the coat was extra bulky in the chest area... so returning it today.. not gonna wear it

The staff was very helpful & genuine. I appreciate when sales people give honest opinions. They couldve used more staff on the floor since it got a little crowded. The store is laid out well and its easy to find things.

I was so excited to find ski pants in a short inseam length. The service was great and I was reassured that they length of the pant was a proper fit. I had a great time chatting with the lady at the check out line. It was also refreshing to be in a store that wasnt crowded with merchandise. Made it easy to spot what I needed.

One of my favorite stores in Chicago. Lots of choices to choose from. If you sign up with email when you are in the store, you usually will get 10-20% discount in your whole purchase. Always ask the person who helps you in store for available discounts and because the sales people get commission, you will probably get some kind of discount in your purchase. (10-20% off the whole purchase!)Located in a great location in Michigan Ave just in front of the Water Tower Place shopping center.

I walked in and right off the bat I was greeted by an employee that was restocking near the entrance. I regret not catching her name but if it helps this transaction happened Jan 3rd at 2pm.I walked up the stairs where the very helpful person near the door directed me to.They mustve sensed my urgency without me saying anything because they had communicated what I was looking for by the time I reached the top of the stairs.Nirobia was very helpful. She was assisting another customer but greeted me and helped me as much as she could before she had to return to the person she was assisting before then. Once she was done, she came back and asked if I found what I was looking for. I didnt find the size I wanted on the floor but told me shed check back stock. She came back what seemed within seconds and I was on my way.Tiffany checked me out. Asked if I was a reward member. Answered all my questions with confidence and accurately.Overall, Im very impressed with the customer service. HR did a great job seeking out the best of the best.Gracias!(I work at 2 hotels in downtown Chicago. One on State Street as a concierge and the other on Michigan Ave as a doorman. This was my first time in the store. It gives me pleasure and confidence directing people your way!)

I love this place, i love the products. I wish i could get them into my country, great stuff for daily use, hiking, sports, fishing. Where ever it is, Columbia can be worn.

Was looking for a new coat and found what I wanted but not my size. Asked the associate if they had my size, and minutes later I was walking out with the size I wanted for a price I was happy with. Nice store.

I recentlyreturned a coat to this location that I bought several years ago. They replaced it under their lifetime warranty and gave me current retail price credit. The service I got during the transaction was excellent. Great product backed by a great warranty and great service. Gotta love Columbia.

Bought a bunch of clothes for a long trip abroad. Simply love there clothes. Wish they had long sizes for their mediums.

I like the quality and is also nice to have 20% discount deals. This store is located in the best location in center of Chicago right from of the Water Tower Place shopping mall.

Columbia products have become poorly sewn with falling apart seams and broken zippers and their customer service doesnt stand behind their products. They demand you pay repair costs for something that is only a month and a half old. I have argued with their warranty department and dealt with their customer service and its all a dead end. The best resolution I could get was document the feedback after hours on the phone. Columbia also owns Mountain Hardwear, Sorel, and prAna. I would assume corporate policy is the same for all of these companies and that is to not care about the customer. Please avoid supporting this company whos billionaire owners cant warranty their products with their half a billion dollars a year in profit.

Small store with a lot of stuff but not a good selection of winter gear for a Columbia store. Good location at the north end of Michigan Ave.

Good quality, good people. To return.

Staff is always helpful. Smaller store so they have less of a selection than online but you can usually find something in the store at least similar to what you are looking for.

Horrible customer experience on a return with two faux managers not empowered or stubborn to do anything. I will never shop at Columbia (you have lost a customer for life). My advice hire smart empowered folks who will always put the customer first.

Bought a jacket in this store and the store clerk forgot to remove the security tag. I realized that only when I got home. I tried to remove the tag by myself and the device is really hard to remove without the adequate tools. Finally I removed the tag, but now I have a new jacket with a hole in the inner side and almost got stained cause the tag has a blue gel.

I received prompt service from the Hispanic lady upstairs in mens. She was juggling several customers and I still felt taken care of. I went downstairs to check out with Lin who told me about the rewards program.. I signed up and then we rang up my purchase.. I was just shy of the $30 gift card promo. So I ran upstairs and got a backpack to get me to the right amount. Lin forgot to swipe the gift card. So Chuck took over and told me the only way to remedy this was to refund on my cc and then repurchase. The funds would be held for 1 or 2 days. I said forget it, I dont want the funds held. Ill do without the giftcard. Then Chuck felt guilty and said I can talk with my manager and see what we can do. Why dont you just use a gift card? I said. I dont remember his reply. He said something like we have to use your same cc. Ok so what if I came in here to return these shorts and I didnt have my cc, what would you do? He replied with something like. Well you wouldnt of been able to buy anything today if you didnt use your cc.. No man what if I come in tomorrow to return these shorts and i dont have my cc then what? Oh then it would go on a merchandise gift card.. Chuck says. Okay why cant we just do that, why should my account be held when it was not my mistake, the other guy made the mistake when he was checking me out. Oh you want to do that? We can do that, if thats what you want to do Chuck cmon man. I was getting upset over what should of been such an easy fix.

Absolute worst customer service. I brought in a broken product and they handed me a scribbled number for corporate customer service. I asked if they would contact the department for me, or if I could ship it through the store, and they just blankly repeated that I should call customer service. I would absolutely never purchase anything from this company again.
