Fantastic experience at Club Champion. Was semi skeptical going into it as I wasn’t sure just how much a putter fitting would help. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as it helped me learn a lot more about my putting stroke and also helped me select a putter that was a much better fit for my stroke than the one I was using. Highly recommend this experience to other golfers who are serious about getting the right equipment for the games!
I went to this location earlier this week and overall it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly from the get-go as well as very professional. They certainly made the environment comfortable and welcoming. Granted I’ve never been fit for clubs nor have ever really written a review—however the experience certainly deserved comment.Prior to the appointment, I had done some extensive research into different companies in the area. Ultimately, it seemed like Club Champion was the best of the best. From that point, I did what most do and look on forums and Reddit to see what others thought of their experience with the organization. Across the board—every review mentioned a good experience.Matt D helped me every step of the way. He was a very friendly and straight forward with a lot of the info and rationales behind changing club heads/shafts/grips/etc. I could tell he had a lot of experience with fittings as he was able to narrow things down in a very pragmatic and seemingly scientific manner.On the business side of things, he helped with costs tremendously. I’m sure if you do research you’ll find CC is known both for their great fittings but also for their prices. That being said and being fit for one of the big four club companies—you can imagine the price tag. Yet, I conveyed my expectations clearly and they were reasonably accommodating. I decided to purchase through them and am excited to play with my new clubs in 3 to 5 weeks!Overall great experience and certainly my benchmark for fittings. I’m sure I’ll go with them in the future when the time comes. Price is always going to be something to be concerned about; but know you’ll be getting a great fitting with great people that know their stuff and will work with you every step of the way.And yes, I’ll write an edit upon receiving the clubs and after playing a few rounds to let you know how it goes!
Would highly recommend going to Club Champion (Downtown) for any club fitting, club repair, or grip changes. I’ve been going to them for just over a year now. I’m a 3 handicap, so I’m pretty particular about my clubs and the guys at Club Champion just get it! I would highly recommend Austin, who’s a Master Fitter there. He helped build me a custom Ping Sigma 2 putter that’s been game changing for me! I’ll also call ahead of time if I need a grip change or something small like that, and they ALWAYS accommodate me (no matter how busy they are) and turn things around LIGHTING QUICK!I can’t recommend Club Champion (and especially Austin) enough! I hope your experience(s) are as great as mine have been over the years!

Went in for my first club fitting experience today and it was an absolutely awesome experience. Been playing golf since I was 5 yrs old and a decent golfer, but wanted to come in to get some irons that were actually calibrated to my game. I had Roger as my club fitter, and all the other reviews you see are dead on; the guy is fantastic.He was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to work with, and also I never felt like I was being sold on anything. At the end of the session, he gave me his card/phone number and said to hit him up if I had any questions about the clubs I bought or just wanted to bounce any ideas off him to improve my game. 1000% would recommend him to anybody looking to get a club fitting.
Great experience all around. My fitter Scott was phenomenal. You could tell these guys are dedicated and love what they do. After three years of not carrying a driver in my bag, Scott was able to fit me into a club that I could hit with confidence. Even though there is never any pressure to buy anything, I was so pleased with the results I ended up buying an entire set. I would highly recommend getting fitted here.
Its been 8 weeks and I still have yet to receive my clubs, nor can any customer service rep give me an accurate timeline of when to expect.[UPDATE] - A couple hours after posting this, their regional director reached out directly to explain the cause of the delay (shafts were backordered). He offered to switch the shafts to a more expensive shaft with the same exact specs they had in stock at no additional cost, and expedited the build. I received my irons direct shipped 5 days later.
Well this is a first for me, my first ever 1 star review. I wish I had read the most recent reviews prior to choosing club champion.I had my fitting on 7/8/20 at 10am and proceeded to order my new irons and grips for other clubs immediately after. The fitting was done at the Chicago location by a gentleman named Austin. And I’ll tell you what, if you’re looking for a good fitting, go hit Austin up. He is the only reason I still have a bit of reason left at this point.I was pretty shocked at the $2000+ price tag for a new set of irons and a few grips, but as I said, I had built a lot of trust with Austin. I was okay with spending the extra money, I mean after all club champion markets itself as the premier club fitter and boasts about its customer service. So I went ahead with the order and was told it would be 2-4 weeks to get the new clubs.Unfortunately here were are 5+ weeks since the clubs were ordered and I still don’t have my new irons! Starting at 2 weeks out I called the customer support line to ask about potential ship dates. I tried voicemails, I tried staying on hold, and finally I got through to someone. This person told me I should have my clubs in 2-3 business days.Well a week went by with no call or email, so I started the process over again. Finally got in touch after waiting on hold for an hour and I was told 2-3 business days again. I told them I had a golf tournament the weekend of 8/15/2020 and that I would need the clubs no later than 8/10/2020 (a full month after they were ordered).Waited another week and still nothing. So I went through the process again and waited another hour to finally talk to someone that told me I’d have them in a week. At this point I brought up my fruition that I’ve been told this many times and that I just need the irons. I was told the build shop is backed up but they should have them done.Here we are, at the beginning of week 5 with no clubs, it’s the 8/11/2020 and I give them a call. I get through once again after a long wait and I’m told 2-3 days plus shipping, I should have them next week. I told them customer support gentleman that this was no acceptable and I need my clubs. He told me he would look into it and get back to me.About 30 minutes later I got a call from Austin saying he heard I was upset. I told him everyone and just told him I need my clubs by end of day Thursday or we’re going to have a problem. I know this was out of his hands, but at least he reached out.I then sent an email to club champions customer experience team detailing my experience and asking for help in getting me my irons by Thursday night. I said let me know if this will be an issue or if I can expect to have my clubs. Big shocker, did not get a response to this email.All I wanted was to have my clubs delivered within the promised time so I could have a day or two with them to practice prior to going to this 3 day tournament. I feel as though my purchase is not important to club champion and that once they received my money, they couldn’t have cared less about me. (Besides for Austin, once again he’s been the only person through this process to be any sort of help, but I understand he is being sadly let down by his own company just as I am being let down by them. And those are my words, not his).I would really like for a manager to reach out to me and try to get this corrected. I already won’t have my clubs for my golf today and this weekend, but this has to be made right. If I don’t hear from an upper level personal by the end of today I will be forced to try to cancel my order through club champion or dispute this agreement with my credit card company.
The in store fitting was great, but the rest of the club buying process was really bad. Extreme delays in club building, poor customer service, and once I got the clubs 2 of them had issues with the shafts. I would recommend doing your fitting here and buying clubs elsewhere.
Ive been working with Roger Paiz at Club Champion for a couple years. As an experienced tournament player I know a few things about club building but Roger and the technology dont lie and we were able to dial in my set from top to bottom and side to side. Ive been an even more consistent player and have told my friends FOR YEARS that if you dont get fitted youre making an enormous mistake. The ROI on fitted clubs is immeasurable if you play better. So, play better. Thanks Roger!
Iron fitting: my fitter was Austin and he did a nice job of understanding where Im at and where I want to go. We took our time in selecting the right shaft and head, and always used both the Trackman stats and how it felt / looked. He never pushed me toward any shaft / head, and listened to my input. Id recommend.
Club Champion provides top level fitting with top level support after your session is done. I had two fittings with Austin: driver and putter. Both experiences were superb, and I was impressed by Austin’s expertise. After about a month, I suddenly was unable to hit my driver anywhere near my numbers at the fitting. I contacted Austin and he brought me in for a trouble-shooting session. While we are still working on the problem, he provided me with an alternative shaft while we continue to investigate. I will certainly be going back for future fittings!
Was fitted by Nick Dentone at the Deerfield location. Great experience, will definitely go back! Nick was great at letting me know how the process went trying every shaft and head available. Ultimately went with PXG and love them. Great communication and amazing experience overall, thanks again Nick.
Its instersting to see the consistent pattern of behavior with the Chicago store. Fitting was 4 weeks ago, and it was an incredible experience. However, since the fitting, it seems they do not care.I was told it would take 4 weeks due to supply chain issues, which I understand. However, I reached out 3 times so far to get an update with no reponse.My delivery date is here, so I assume the lack of communication means they will not meet promised date. I understand things happen, but how hard is it to simply respond to emails or calls??Considering how much money is being spent by people, you think they could at least show a bit of respect.If somone from corporate is reading these, a little information will be appreciated.
Awful wait times. Told me “up to 5 weeks”… looking like 7 weeks. And my club didn’t need to be back ordered.

I was fitted in Las Vegas, by Julien, he was tremendous to work with.
I went here expected to get fitted for clubs that just felt better, maybe straighten out my swing. It only took one practice swing with my club until Brad Gehrke told me to stop. He measured my 6 iron and told me it was about an inch shorter than I should be swinging. Brad fit me with a new shaft and the ball immediately went 205 and dead center (after pulling every ball 180 and left with my regular clubs).... I really couldnt stop thanking him. Getting fitted at such a high tech facility was definitely game changing and recommend them to anyone trying to improve their golf game.

This is my second time sending clubs to Club Champion for repair. The team does an amazing job at a reasonable price. Brad was so thorough with confirming my measurements. I can’t wait to hit the links with my newly improved clubs!
I only did the putter fitting, but I was really impressed with the way they assess your natural putting stroke and fit a putter to your stroke. Great technology and great service. If you are looking to improve your equipment and arent on a budget this place is fantastic.
I had a great experience working with the Club Champion team for my fitting. My dad and I went together and both really enjoyed (and were educated) during our fittings. The team makes you feel very comfortable in their facility and they clearly know what they are talking about. With the stats and numbers to back it up. I would recommend Club Champion to anyone looking to improve their game, and get the most of out their equipment.
Both my husband and I had putter fittings with Mike Nakayama. He was excellent! End result for me is that I know that ONE of my many putters is right for me, after he changed the loft. For my husband, Mike ordered a new putter with the exact specifications he needs to fit the data generated by the computer evaluation. Very well worth the time and money spent. We have already recommended to several friends.
Mike was patient, thoughtful, and thorough in getting me to the ideal set of clubs for my game.
Walk in on roger without a booking but the still accommodated me with a putting analysis. Top service and great facilities.
They do decent work, but very difficult to get ahold of and often unresponsive. Budget a few buffer days before you will get a response and your equipment back.
I needed to regrip my putter, they had it in stock and did it in 5 minutes. Great experience
This is a revision from my last less than positive review.I was more than pleasantly surprised how quickly I received call from Mike Trapany (guessing the spelling of his last name). No more than few hours after my reviews, I received a call from Mike who wanted to know what exactly transpired, and after explaining to Mike, he wanted to get Tim & Mike (deerfield location employees who worked on my clubs) explanation, and promised to get back to me the following day. True to his words, I received a call, and Mike went above and beyond to correct the situation! I wish him all the success with his business, and will be returning to Club Champion with full confidence!

Brad at Club Champion downtown Chicago exceeded my already high expectations. He made me feel comfortable and did an excellent job narrowing down the clubs that fit my game.
I am a two time Club Champion Willowbrook customer. The first time was about 4 years ago, I was fit for an entire bag and the fitting professional fit me perfectly. Although I thought the shafts were a bit expensive, they worked like a charm. After hitting several club head/shaft combinations, I was very confinedent that the clubs I had were made for me, which had improved my game tremendously over the past few years. I went from shooting in the high 90’s to the mid 80’s,I went back every year trying to buy new clubs, but they wouldn’t sell me any because I will still hitting my original clubs just as good if not better than the new clubs. After four years, I went from hit a slice to hitting a nice draw and hitting each iron 10+ yards further. What a nice feeling. Each year, Club champion check my loft and lie of each club (at no charge) and make sure each club was in perfect order...On my latest visit, I wanted to buy the new PXG’s or Mizuno 950’s. After several swings, my club specialist suggested the Ping 700’s and the first time I hit it, I knew these were my new irons. I am hitting the ball longer and straighter than I ever had. Thank you Club Champion of Willow for always taking care for me. Each time I go in the store, they greet me with a smile, handshake and call me by first name (even when I don’t have an appointment). The Manager at that location ensures al of his employees are Customer Service Focused! I have been with Club Champion for almost 5 years and because of the way they treat me, I can never imagine buying my clubs from any place else. Kudos!!!Warren

Club Champion did a perfect paintfill on my Scotty Cameron (the yellow lettering shown in the picture).They cut down the putter as requested and installed a new grip. Nice work all around. I asked them to save the old Pistolero (CT) putter grip, which has a $150 value and they did not, so I was kinda pissed about that.
