Iβm always shopping for cars. In fact Iβve now purchased and sold 7 vehicles in the last 9 years all but one from a dealership. My experience at North City Honda has been by far the least stressful, least amount of pressure purchasing experience by far. From the moment I walked in and was greeted right away by Antonio to driving away in my (new to me) Honda Element, I felt that that Antonio truly cared about my experience. Many times at other dealerships you are treated less than a person shopping for a brand new vehicle. There was zero snarky attitude, no deceitful tactics, just friendly faces wanting to take care of me. The negotiation fair and never demeaning. Antonio even let me go on an extended test drive to really get a feel for the vehicle!On the drive home at highway speeds, I noticed a familiar noise coming from the rear wheel. The next day I took my new vehicle in for assessment and discovered the bearing was on its last leg. I called the dealership to let them know and they instantly informed me they would take care of the bill, no questions asked. This was a huge deal to me as Iβve had negative experiences with other used vehicles in the past at other dealerships.Thank you Antonio for your help in making the sales process as smooth as possible and having a great attitude. I had an excellent experience purchasing a car at North City Honda. There was clear communication from the beginning - I was given an out-the-door quote via e-mail that was fully honored in-person (none of the bait-and-switch quotes Ive experienced from other dealerships in the Chicago area). I was given updates on inventory too, since I wasnt able to go to the dealership right away.Freddy Navarro was outstanding and provided excellent service. He gave a detailed tour of the car and answered all of our questions. He was knowledgeable, patient, and transparent throughout the whole process. I Purchased a Honda hr-v a few weeks ago at north city and had great customer service. The sales man Antonio Villarreal was very nice, knowledgeable, and most of all not pushy at all. He explained everything about the car answered all of our questions and called us a couple days after just to see how everything was going. The dealer offered a welcoming environment and we felt comfortable and not pressed to buy. Antonio gave us his time without making me feel like we were wasting his time like other places did. Overall great experience, highly recommend.

No high pressure sales here. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Nataly, our salesperson. She really took time with us and was patient and kind throughout the process. I donβt know where to start . I came In today with hopes of just getting my car appraised for a trade-in . If I could give this dealership 6 stars I would! I live in California and Ive called numerous Honda Dealerships across the nation shopping for a very specific car in a specific color (Honda Civic Type R in Boost Blue Pearl).They had the car in their inventory and I spoke with the manager Jim, who had an upfront, no bs approach with the pricing of the vehicle. With the current market and demand, I felt the price was fair and I agreed to purchase it! He forwarded me over to a member of his sales team Freddy, who took over the transaction. Freddy kept close contact with me every step of the way. I was sent pictures and video of the car all the way up to where the car left the dealership on the trailer. Ive purchased 3-4 cars out of state before, but none of them went this smooth and quickly! Jim and Freddy made it seem like I was right there with them! They even followed up to make sure the transport went smoothly and if I had questions with the operation of the vehicle! I highly recommend North City Honda!
I was at North City Honda a week ago to purchase a vehicle that we waited for 2 weeks. This was our familys second time purchasing a vehicle and the process was smoother than we expected. We have been to a couple dealerships, but this one was the best. Gersom and Patrick were very kind and understanding. They answered all our inquiries and accommodated very well to our situation. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to purchase from North City Honda.
Initially met with another Honda dealership but was told new car inventory was low and other dealers werenβt willing to trade. Went to North City Honda and worked with Ricardo. I was able to test drive a new model that same day and they were able to dealer trade with a nearby dealership for the specs/trim I wanted. Ricardo picked up the car from the other dealership and papers were signed within 48 hours of the initial test drive. Helpful staff and a GM that can get you the car you want even when other dealers say they canβt.

TLDR: I would not recommend bringing your Honda here for service.I have been to North City Honda 4+ times now for service and each time has been a less than ideal experience. I previously continued to return because of the Service Rep Cesar who has always recovered each situation very well - literally the only reason this place even garners the 1 star I had to give it to write this review. However, today I got to experience the service department with out Cesar and realized that it is not worth it for me to continue to waste money here and potentially harm my car.In this episode of things that could have gone better:- Tried to schedule an appointment over the phone for yesterday only to be told that they were completely booked and not accepting walk ins. Later on decided to try to book online for next day (today) and saw that there were in fact appointments for yesterday available - but by then too soon for me to make it in time.- Went in this morning and was 8 minutes late *my bad - I understood and expected to wait a little bit longer because of this.* was told that because I was late, there were now 2 cars ahead of me and the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half.- At an hour and a half, checked in with the service rep and was told it would be 15 minutes longer.- 40 minutes later was told my car was done. *Service rep completely unapologetic for the wait time.- By this point already pretty frustrated, when the service rep told me that my transmission needed flushed because the fluid was discolored. I explained that I just got my transmission flushed earlier this year - so that shouldnt be the case. He said hed go talk to the Service Manager.- Came back and said that when they do a transmission service they only drain 4 liters of the 10-15 liters of transmission fluid in the car to replace it, so if it was dirty before it will still be dirty. *WHAT* Recommends doing the service a few times until the fluid comes out clear.- I asked why they say they will flush/drain the transmission if they only replace a couple liters - its pretty misleading. He said they never say they drain the transmission - they call it a transmission exchange service because they only exchange a couple liters.- Well, from the service receipt previously and the service recommendation he gave me it says drain and the drain and replace.Seems pretty shady and now Im questioning every service they have performed. Did they even drain anything the first time? Did they even change my oil? Did they even rotate my tires? Maybe they are hoping my car will break down and Ill have to come back to buy a new car from them...
Fantastic service from Antonio & team to really make the car buying experience pleasant. There was a technical snag in financing but Jim took care of me and I was able to drive out with my new car the same night. After going to several other dealers, I went back to North City Honda because Antonio made me the most comfortable and he took great care of me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 100%!!!
These guys are a sham dealership and do whatever it takes to get the car in your hands without telling you Information with honesty. I was sold a Honda Civic Si with a junkyard transmission and now Iβm having problems in 4th gear. They told the car still had the Honda warranty when I bought the car but it turned out thatβs a lie. Donβt buy from these guys because they are uneducated and lying and misrepresent Honda. Stay away!!

A month ago, my daughter and I were extremely happy for the superb customer service experience at North City Honda. My daughter and I got the best deal and best APR rate for the Honda Civic hatchback. Giovanni Delgado was truly friendly and incredibly knowledgeable in what he does. From test drive, credit approval to signing all the paperwork was effortless and stress-free. Also, Mr. Jim, the Manager was very professional and remarkably friendly. Two weeks ago I received a letter from North City Honda that my daughter and I thought was a huge issue. I called and left a voice message to the finance office, however, I didnt get a call back that made me so restless. I couldnt wait, I wanted an answer right away, so, I decided to call Giovanni and I was so relieved that he answered my call. I told Giovanni about the letter and at that very moment he reassured me was not a problem. He told me that hell talk to his manager and will call me back. We came in at 2 pm to look at the cars, and at 6 pm we left North City Honda in a new Honda. It was easy to get financing through Honda (we had a car accident a day before, so we did not even contact our bank to talk about possible financing). Lets see brought car in on sept 23rd Told parts had to be ordered, I came in and paid for parts on the 25th. Was told part would be in in a week. Week past nothing, i called was told be in on Monday or tuesday. Nothing, called told parts would be in by friday. Three weeks no parts. Today is oct 23rd. I went to get a refund (still no parts). It took me 45 mins to get a refund. Being told they had to call warehouse and others to get credit back to dealership. They then offered a refund 40$ less then what i paid saying they installed some parts (windshield wipers). I showed the mechanic the broken wipers had not been replaced. They then agreed to the whole amount. However the new system was not working so they couldnt do it. Then they remembered they had the old credit card system in back and dis the refund that way.Worst experience with a dealer. Nothing but lies. I say lies, because i have been a customer in the past with sketchy services, and when I reminded them that last time they had falsely claimed to replace parts and i had shown them they had not they supposedly credited my account of 100$. But due to a new system in sept that information was lost. However strange they had my customer info all in the system and needed no new updates. And now the new system cant do refunds? .. come up with better lies OR just do the job. I recommend you use this place demand to see the old parts as proof.If I could I would give this place a NEGATIVE 4 rating... 1 star is too good for them.So i emailed these pwople and they have yet to respond to the email. So dont take their reaponse on here as if they actually care.

We bought a Honda Civic Hatchback from North City Honda last Saturday and had a wonderful experience. We went to other dealers before going to North City, but the experience was awful, they didnt have the colors I wanted, and they tried to push me to spend hundreds more on colors I didnt like, so we called North City first to make sure they had all the colors and went to the store. Ricardo, who is responsible for receiving us, is very responsible and actively strives for a better discount for us. By the time we finish the formalities, it is time to get off work, but this has not affected the quality of service at all. The after-sales service in North City is also very nice. A few days later, there were some minor problems with the car. I immediately drove to the store. The staff checked it for me and patiently explained the reason. It makes me feel at ease. In short, the experience of buying a car is very enjoyable. If my friends want to change cars in the future, I will certainly recommend them to this store, to Ricardo, Iβm sure he will make you satisfied.

I have extremely happy with my purchase and the experience at North City Honda. I saw their inventory online and there were three cars I was interested in, at prices I was willing to pay. My previous experience with so many other dealerships is that I find the vehicles I like, at prices Iβm willing to pay. I call the dealership to confirm the car is there and the price is legit. The dealership confirms it, I drive to the dealership, and the salesperson says, βWho told you that price? Yeah, theyβre not authorized to quote prices.β Bait and switch. So frustrating. At North City Honda, I called to confirm and when I showed up, they were true to their word. Antonio Villreal was our salesperson and he was honest, helpful and awesome. He explained details to us and was very up front. Iβd definitely work with him again. Overall, a great experience!

Great experience at this location. Came in to purchase a Civic, though I am young Antonio took really good care of me. Everyone was super nice and amazing to work with. Patrick the Finance Manger was amazing and patient with me when it came to the paperwork. I was also very surprised by how friendly the managers are at this location. During my time here 3 different managers took the time to make sure everything was ok. When I entered I was greeted by Antonio and he took me to introduce me to John who was super friendly and offered me something to drink. When it came to looking at my trade in James came out to my car with Antonio and I and was super helpful and friendly as well. Then while I was talking with Antonio about number, another Manager Jim came over and talked with me about his dog, as a dog lover I loved it. When I left with my new car I was thanked for my business and said goodbye to by all three managers and Antonio (who even walked me to new car and went over setup with me). Car shopping is the worse but North City Honda went out of their way to make sure that my experience was as good as possible! MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR ANTONIO!

I brought my car here on May 14 because of a notice I got about a recall and extended warranty on my cars paint. They took photos of the paint peeling all over my car and said they had to submit it to American Honda (national office) for approval and that that might take a few weeks. After over two months when I hadnt heard anything, I called the office to check on the status. The first person I talked to said they didnt see any recall or anything else on my account so I asked to talk to someone else. They transferred me and then that person said I would have to call back the following week when the rep assigned to my case was back from vacation because only he knew the status. When I called back a week later as instructed, that staff person still wasnt in the office apparently but the person I spoke to confirmed that they were still waiting on approval from American Honda. At this point it had been three months since I first brought my car in and rust was starting to form where the paint has been peeling. I said so to the rep on the phone and she said the manager, Mike, would give me a call. After a week and no call from Mike, I decided to called American Honda myself. And they said there was no case open on my vehicle! That rep then attempted to contact North City Honda for me and after several days of HER getting the run around as well, she said she spoke to the manager, Mike, who told her that they dont have any photos of my car. This is absolutely ridiculous and on par with the worst customer service I have ever received in my life.

From the very beginning he made me feel welcomed and kept the entire process simple and fun. He got me the exact car I wanted for a great price. The entire experience was effortless. The majority of them were only interested in you buying their cars they want to, but this North City Honda deserves a high rating because its distinguish and cordial costumer service. Ive used North City Honda twice now for a couple of big fixes and Ive been very happy with the results both times. The service can be expensive, but you pay for great customer interaction, communication and timeliness. I wanted to come on and finally write a review was because of the FANTASTIC service I received from service provider, Fernando. I had to have my car towed to North City Honda two weeks ago after it made a horrible noise when I started it up - turns out I had been the victim of a catalytic converter theft. Fernando helped walk me through the process to get my insurance involved, and kept me updated every step of the way. We played a lot of phone tag, but he was very good at getting back to me.This next part is where the service Fernando provided went above and beyond. When I received my car back, I noticed that there were new grease stains all over the drivers side door and armrest. I had recently had my car professionally deep cleaned so I was disheartened to see this. HOWEVER, thinking that the grease stains happened at the Honda service center, I called Fernando back to ask if Honda wouldnt mind cleaning it for me. He immediately called back and left a message, saying he was sorry the car was returned to me in that condition and that I could bring it back whenever to have one of the porters clean it for me. When I returned later that day and saw Fernando, he said he wasnt sure if the stains had occurred from one of the techs, or from the tow truck driver. I was MORTIFIED because it was so definitely, obviously the tow truck driver who had gotten grease all over my car (who had to PUSH my car out of a parallel parking spot). I had forgotten it had even been towed. Nonetheless, Fernando had a technician quickly clean the upholstered armrest and even vacuum the carpets up front for me, even though it was definitely not their responsibility. It was the end of the day and it took only about 10 minutes. I really appreciated this gesture of kindness (and so did my eight-month-pregnant self, who would have had a hard time cleaning out my car on my own). Thanks, Fernando for such great care!

After an inspection for a factory recall I suddenly am due for over $3000 worth of different critical repairs that allegedly need to be done immediately and the funny thing is none of the critical damages that they need to charge me to repair are in fact a real thing! How do I know? Because that was several years ago now and my car is still running great so the engine that was critical to repair immediately, and the shocks that supposedly were hanging on by a threadβ¦well yeah they are still fineβ¦so letβs call BS on these SOBs.

Complete negligence and lack of professionalism on the service side. Dont waste your money here. This review comes not after one, but several bad experiences at North City Honda. My wife and I had to give up and go elsewhere. Even tried to resolve things with the manager and there was total lack of accountability.

I have never been a happier Honda owner. Our family grew in and out of various Honda models and we have been loyal customers for over 20 years because the product is that good. But today I realized its the outstanding customer service that really kept us going back. Sure you do a certain sales dance but weve always walked away knowing they understood our needs and accommodated as much as a business can. But today, they went above and beyond. We purchased a CRV a couple months ago and my husband and I recently noticed a crack in the windshield. Can you believe the bad luck? We decided to go through North City Honda before our insurance. I barely had to explain my bafflement as to how that crack happened. John Wise, the General Manager said, Ill take care of it. Nothing else to say except when to bring the car in for a replacement window. THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Well keep going back for sure.

An airbag light check appeared in my car on April 08, 2021. There was a review on this, so I decided to fix it at North City Honda. They promised to fix it in 1-1.5 hours. The car was returned in 2.5 hours and the problem was not fixed. They said that a new seat belt buckle sensor needs to be ordered and advised to come next week. I agreed and returned the following week and was promised that everything will be fixed in 1.5 hours. The car was again returned in 2.5 with fully broken roof. As they explained, they accidentally dropped garage door on it. What kind of car service can drop garage door on carβs roof?? Manager assured that they will fix it. On April 24, 2021 I left the car for repair. They promised to fix in 3-4 days. On April 30th their response they moved the date to the following week. On May 06, 2021 they called and informed that I can come and take it back. I came, but the car was not fixed properly. Roof Molding were old ones and not fixed. Windshield Molding was an old one and scratch. Windshield Weatherstrip Molding was broken and was not changed. Two scratches were not removed. When I asked why the car is not fixed properly and is not ready in fact, the employee said that he doesnβt know and manager is not here. If I want to have a talk with manager, I need to come on TUES or Wed next week. So that means that I need to spend my personal time and my weekends for a few weeks in a row because of their irresponsibility. I donβt advise to use this dealer center. Management is not responsible and lies to customers, employees not professional, terms of service do not correspond to the agreed ones, quality of services is very low. Better to use other dealers.Dear Service Team,I already expressed my concerns and a feedback on a provided service.Please arrange you representative reach out to myself with a suggestion how to fix the problems I faced up with due to incompetency of the specialists at Dealer Center.I have already spend more then enough time reaching out to you and looking for a good service and support.Thanks,
