Brought my bike in for oil change and brakes he was honest and told me my brakes were fine the will have my business in the future thanks guys
Angel and Jesse fixed a flat on my Honda CTX700 and changed my break fluid. I had called and told them of the problem and Angel said “bring it on in, I’ll get right on it” I had the bike back, same day in about an hour! They were both personable and professional and Angel in particular was knowledgeable and communicative. Highly recommended!
POC establishment and it’s the best place to take your motorcycle 🏍 in Chicago! Owner is honest & upfront! Thanks Motorcycle Mania for your great service and help with my moto!
Went there to buy a helmet before I start riding. Great little selection and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely plan on returning once Im riding.
Love this place and the owner Angel. He took care of all the problems the bike was having and even went the extra mile to make sure the bike was good to go. Best place in Chicago for getting your bike repaired.
This is my favorite shop in the city. I recently brought in a bike with an electrical issue and had a quick turnaround. Angel set a great example in terms of communication and service. He sent me pictures of the issues and kept in contact with progress and provided multiple options to make a solution. Thank you very much, Angel and Jeremiah.
I had them work on my 1982 KZ750LTD and 1982 XS650. The bikes both ran great after they cleaned the carbs and serviced the bikes.Highly recommended; but be patient as they are understaffed. Discounts given for winter projects, so be sure to ask!
These guys truly have your needs as their focus, not how much money they can squeeze out of you.
Marcus gave me hope and Angel saved the day! Thank you so much! Called Motorcycle Mania for a plug wire nobody had except bmw in Germany, which was too long to wait. Marcus told me they have plug boots and maybe could help. Angel was up for the challenge and found a custom way to make it work. Keep up the great work!
Small shop, honest, up front discussions on maintenance needs, and best of all a great price on labor make this shop my choice of motorcycle repair in Chicago.I used to drive 2 hours to get service but will be returning here for all my needs. Most importantly, John was willing to let me purchase my own parts when he didnt have any in stock, letting me control the quality, and saving me time and money!Dont be misled by the small storefront and home-brew sign, this place is pure perfection.
I was satisfied with my first experience of getting maintenance done on my KLR650
Amazing service! Thanks Angel
I’ve been taking my bike to motorcycle mania for 3 years. Angel the owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and always provides great customer service. He keeps my bike up and running, and helps keep me on the road!
Came to this place because of all the good reviews and realized these guys cant even do a tire change correctly. Was charged $45 to change my tire and brought it home to realize it was leaking air, brought it in to be told that they are not responsible for air leaks because I only paid them to put a new tire on, not check for leaks, this place is a joke and if you dont know what you are doing they will try to rip you off. They put on a loose valve stem and tried to charge me an extra $35 to put a new one on.
I went there because I thought I needed a new inner tube. After he looked at it he determined that it was just the stem valve. Fixed it free of charge. Great customer service.
Angel helped me get my bike running when it left me stranded by their shop. Honest bunch of guys. Definitely recommend them.
Great service and owner is awsome definitely would recommend to anybody
Went there and didnt receive my bike because its permanently closed they said
Took the bike in for a full tune up service. It was given back to me with low tire pressure, overfilled (and dirty) oil change, dirty untouched air filter, and untouched spark plugs. They also took my licence plate screws and put zips ties on to hold it.After I realized the low tire pressure, I decided to check everything else and found the other problems listed above.
Good place to help you get motorcycle license
Angel, owner, will give you an estimate to lure you in and will claim he completed a work that is not authorized and bill you for it-dishonest guy!
Angel is a great mechanic. Knows bikes and is fair with cost.
HANDS DOWN the best shop in Chicago. Both the service and the people. Dont waste your time or money by going anywhere else. You will be disappointed.
Angel and staff did great job getting my wifes bike running reliably. Angel was honest and upfront with what to expect from his shop.
Had a wonderful experience with angel the owner of I can give it more then 5 star I would very easy to deal with and professional will keep coming back. THANK YOU
Warning - if you havent been here in a while, this place is NOT still owned by John. He was the best, as the older reviews attest to. However, the new ownership took this place straight downhill. Brought my bike in for a tune-up and clutch lever adjustment. Was told it would take about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks started calling, kept getting delays, but at that point the riding season was well underway and taking it someplace else wouldnt get it any sooner, so decided to hang in there. Finally got a call a month after bringing it in to tell me they had to order a clutch cable and it would be amother 2 weeks. Seriously, you couldnt have diagnosed that earlier? So I get the bike back 6 weeks after bringing it in. The original quote I received apparently didnt cover parts (!), so the bill was double what I was originally told -- over $500 for a tune-up and clutch cable. Worse, the bike ran worse than when I brought it in. I also told him my brake light was intermittent. He said he couldnt find any problem, but it was cutting out as I rode away from his shop. I was so upset with this place I had no intention of bringing it back, so I took it to a little shop where I have a summer place in Indiana and the problems were quickly corrected. But to add insult to the Mania experience, I discovere that the Mania mechanic lost the chrome locking clips to both side panels and fastened them with zip ties. Really!? Unethical, unprofessional and sloppy -- Not the kind of people you want working on your bike.
Repaired the bike but it took a long time and they didnt fix all of the problems to a satisfactory level
Tried to charge me $100 for a chain riveting job--I should clarify--I did EVERYTHING but rivet the new chain. I removed rear tire, replaced sprockets, replaced rear tire, and took it in to him (Angel) to rivet the chain together. Easily a 15 min job that took him close to an hour and a half.He had a week previously quoted me $75 for the entire sprocket/chain replacement and about $20 to rivet it over the phone. After reminding him of the call he brought it down to $50--which was still $30 more than he had originally quoted and then what the job is even close to worth. I coulda bought the tool myself for $60 and saved time and money. All in all it was a shady deal and I walked away annoyed at the overcharging. Had a clutch problem that I was gonna get him to do before realizing the unprofessionalism and exorbitant cost.I walked my bike about a mile down the road to ACME Cycle and was blown away by their professionalism and efficient responses to my questions and clutch issues. ACME will undoubtedly have any future business of mine. Im not interested in anything but an honest and efficient professional working on such a potentially dangerous vehicle.I brought in a 1984 Honda magna in case you want to know the cost of riveting its chain.UPDATE: Im writing this approx 12 hours later: Chain(brand new) he fixed/riveted ripped apart on me hours after I left him and ACME had fixed my clutch. (Just needed to be bled). Was going 35 after shifting into 3rd and chain ripped apart and cracked my cover and potentially did more damage.Broke apart right on the master link Angel had just riveted for me. Lucky for me the chain got jammed next to the front sprocket and didnt come out and make me wreck. Dangerous stuff!! Unbelievable! Will be contacting Angel to see if they will take accountability for the poor rivet job and the potential damages on the bike and update this review accordingly.UPDATE 2: After an hour on the phone with Angel, he refused any accountability for the broken master link he riveted. He explained it was impossible for him to have done an imperfect job---blamed the break entirely on the brand new chain I bought---refused any help or compensation for the mishap. This guy makes me fear for riders who trust in a mechanics ability and resolve.
Excellent Motorcycle Service! Angel was very helpful! Thank you
Did a great job on my Valk. Great bunch of guys there.
Needed new tire to put on same day and they were able to get me in and out in the same day, price reasonable and treated me right.

Great Place .....
My brother had a glitch during a road trip from Montreal to route 66, he had to find a garage in Chicago that could take him quickly for a repair of the chain. I made calls to several garages to help him and Motor Cycle Mania are the only ones who responded quickly and had the chain in stock. They understood the urgency of our problem and were able to quickly help my brother! On site, they also noted a problem with one of the tires and offered an interesting solution in order to make the repair and allow his journey on Route 66 to continue.thanks again
