Its not a very big store but it has big shoes for big dudes

Felt lime they were short staffed at the customer service end of things, although do help me promptly! Not the best selection for service shoes.. But other brands looked great!!

I noticed they have very good prices on swimwear and inflatable water craft...and the employees are friendly and non intrusive. I was looking for an inflatable raft to use for fishing on the river and i will prolly go back to make a purchase since they even beat out walmart on pricing for the raft i am considering.

Nice selection of sporting goods, especially considering the size of the store. The regular prices are OK, but often worth it to wait for sales if you can. Walked in the employees were super helpful found exactly what I needed. I was shopping for a duffle bag for my boys now that they are getting bigger and they have all sizes small medium and large and the prices werent bad. I would recommend to anyone I knew they have something for all ages and almost all sports.

Great place to buy cheap tubes for going tubing on the sacramento river, really cheap summer gear as well such as life vest and snorkel gear.

This is your standard issue Big 5. If you have ever been to one this is exactly like all the others. The staff always either try to hard or not hard enough. Selection of products always keep me coming back. Hoping they train their staff better in the future so I can give a full five stars. Keep being cool Big 5.

Stopped into Big 5 for some snowboarding bibs. They were half the price of other stores and kept the boy dry.

I love Big Five and happy theyre still around(knock knock) and havent been replaced by the big block stores or online shopping. Clerks always nice and offer to assist if needed. Purchased many items with the Big nickel ;)

Went looking for wrestling shoes, the guy that helped us was great. He went out of his way to find us what we wanted, even if he had to go to the back like 4 times. Great people great service

Good sales all the time. Great line of snowboarding/skiing clothes, yoga pants, etc. Found a nice sale on tennis shoes. Employees are quite helpful. There is a parking lot out front with plenty of parking. Easy to see store from road.

Best sports store in town. I went looking for some roller skates however they didnt have my size but they have plenty of other fun things to shop around for. The prices are pretty good and if you find something listed on their website for cheaper they will honor that price in the store.

Always has good items, (quality items). I just bought a pair of Puma shoes that went on sale for $44.99 that were usually $64, really made my day. Also, purchased a compression shorts. Prices arent outlandishly cheap but not over priced. Love the weekly sales too. Good shopping spot for shoes though def

The store is small and incredibly densely packed with merchandise, leading to a claustrophobic shopping experience with little to make up for it.

There are four employees on shift, two are at registers helping 1 customers each and one assisting with shoe and one in sports. I was 1 of 4 people waiting for shoes. Close a register and help the waiting customers. Obviously the shoe employee is busy while your u are not. And people want $15 min wage. Try won king like you deserve it. Not going back ever again.

Big 5 in Chico is actually a very good business: the clerks always strive to serve and usually reasonably priced merchandise combined make for a first class shopping experience.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us find everything we needed and didnt push us to buy items that didnt fit our needs perfectly. I will definitely come back.

Theyve got a ton of stuff & they rotate it seasonally. Lots of outdoor stuff for kids, best prices in town for womens athletic swimwear. Its just really packed in there so its sometimes hard to find stuff, but staff is helpful.

Crappy salespeople. I went in wanting a sleeping bag and the manager kept pestering me. Threy kept asking if I needed help and then she kept telling her store associate to help me out. You lost a sale because you wouldnt let me just look at sleeping bags without getting constantly asked if I need help. Went to amazon and got same sleeping bag I went into big 5 to get and got it cheaper, plus didnt have to interact with salespeople who dont take no for an answer. I used to enjoy shopping here but last few visits have been to aggressive.

Big 5 its located on Mangrove just a little after it turns in 2 couaeset road. This big 5 isnt as big as all the rest quite crowded in there especially since the big 5 in Paradise burnt down . I like it because they always have something on saleMy boyfriend and I went in there the other day and we came out $300 shorter but got great deals on what we bought we bought a gold detector air rifle and case Target and ammo. Just a couple of days later we went in and got a crossbow for half the price is regular $50 we walked out the door 25 and its a powerful little bow real accurate were having lots of fun with it if youre in that area do stop in cuz he will find something you like at half the price

Poor,poor service. How to give zero star. Traveled over 100 miles to buy. Lost coupon on phone after showing it.they would not honour it. But after shopping there for over 30 years,they treat you like nothing.And corporate does the same. I am switching to dicks or Cabellas. Not what they use to be.

A crowded, discount sporting good store a bit hit and miss. However, is our first stop to find athletic shoes and other sporting goods. Often can find shoes at 30% less than retail and other items less than retail. Service ranges from friendly, pointing to the area of the store where an item can be found, or to having to track down someone to help you find shoes.

I found a mesh vest I liked in the Paradise store on Wednesday 04/11 but they did not have my size. They called the Chico store where one was put on hold with my name. I advised I would be there on Tuesday 04/17.▪The Chico store guy could not locate the held item.▪Eventually, he told me they only hold for 24 hours!▪No one was available to help me look for the vest.▪I finally found one, and only one, stashed between some other items, barely visible, on a full rack.▪It did not fit, and there apparently were no other vests to try on.▪No staff seemed to care that I left the store without making a purchase I had had every intention of making.
