I think the only thing that continues to be appreciated of Walmart these days, or at least this one in Oroville, is that it has a wide array of items that one might be looking to purchase. So, there is at least that attribute of convenience. However, they have become much less attentive in their areas of customer service. Also, they seem to run the store quite understaffed. Checkout lines are often 10 minutes wait. Self check now only accepts exact change or debit/credit card only. I avoid Walmart these days and prefer other alternative stores to bring me business to where my shopping experience is much more pleasant therefore giving me the sense that they appreciate my business with them. That feeling has greatly diminished within my scope of view on Walmart.

This Walmart isnt bad. The little Hispanic lady that greets you always makes me smile. Inventory seems well stocked. Me and my son get all our pool supplies here

Better than some. Worse than others. The staff does seem more abusive to each other than at most Walmarts Ive been to so theres that to watch

Always my go to for essential items and reasonable prices. Sometimes the lines can get out into the isles so be prepared to wait in line Sometimes.

Oh I had so much fun in there looking at everything even spoke with some very nice people one let me know about a great spice she uses on so many things others about shoes and clothing. I spent hours having so much fun everyone is superb

The only thing I would fix here. Is having more checkers. Other then that. Employees where very helpful. Door greater was very nice and helpful. My checker was fast and friendly.

They are organized. Almist everythibg you can find. The clerk is so helpful although they have a lot of assignment to get done. Keep up the good service. We all need you, guys

I understand there is a problem with theft in society but this store is utterly ridiculous with its procedures. They never have enough cashiers they have children’s underwear behind glass with a button for service and yet they have enough staff to plant 3 people at the doors and staff to run back and forth to answer the service button . Here’s the kicker they walked up the underwear I was buying for my child and I was able to simply walk over reach over the counter and grab them and walk over to self check out where we had been waiting for them . Point being if we were criminals I simply could of went left and walked out of the store vs going to self checkout and doing the right thing. If your company just allocated money in the right place paid and treated it’s employees better they would do a better job . Villainizing the general public who are paying for merchandise at some point will just cost your business revenue as eventually people will quit shopping there. It’s amazing that just two blocks away at target you don’t have to feel like a criminal to shop for your family. Why? Because they spend money to catch the criminal and prevent it vs making the rest of us feel harassed to shop with them . I’m guessing they have a better management team and treat their employees better. Perhaps Walmart needs a new regional manager or CEO they seem to be turning into one of the worst places to shop.

Half the storage bins dont have matching lids. Thought I was losing my mind for a moment...but no......hey have stacks of bins with no matching lid. Asked an employee about it and they shrugged and walked off. Fairly surreal experience. I

My sister tried to buy a cellphone from this Walmart (curbside pickup). She had already paid for the (prepaid) phone and had a (prepaid) card to activate it at home. The girl that brought out the phone said it couldn’t be activated and there was nothing she could do and if she still wanted the phone she would have to repurchase and wait 3-5 business days for the original purchase to return to her bank account. I don’t know if there’s some weird Walmart reason she really couldn’t activate it or let her activate at home, BUT the girl had an awful attitude and wouldn’t explain or say anything else besides “I can’t activate it. There’s nothing I can do.” She had to speak to a manager to get any other information. If I could give 0 stars for the customer service of this Walmart worker I would.

I am handicapped and I like going to Walmart.They have quite a few of the battery operated carts to help you get around the store.Lately they’ve only had one that is operational. Walmart is losing a lot of money from me without that battery operated cart. I can’t come back to the store until we get more carts available. This is the worst it’s been they’ve been down to three before but not one.Really appreciate the carts being fixed. I know you don’t care to help handicap people at this Walmart store but it sure does help people like myself get around your store. Thank you

Took my car in for a lube & went to the counter & asked them to please get me motorized cart. She said she didnt know if she could get one that their was only ONE working in the entire store! I have a bad knee, a herniated disc & I am a kidney dialysis patient. I can only walk short distances & even that is very painful. I walk with a cane. They only have ONE working cart in a store as big & popular as that in a town of of 100,000 people? This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Even though this is not a Walmart Supercenter, it was stocked full of merchandise throughout the store. Every aisle was lined with products. We even found stuffs we have been searching for at other Walmart locations but werent able to. It was a great place to shop. They have FACE MASKS on sale.

This walmart sucks!! A lot of items (underclothes) for instance are locked behind glass. I pressed the button and no one showed up. I had to hunt someone down.

Similar to all walmarts i have been to. Nothing bad or stand out here. I was pleased with my last shopping experience. Staff are not very knowledgeable or helpful but thats what Ive come to expect from the chain. I go there when I have to.

The Chico Walmart does NOT price match, despite claiming to do so on their website. I typically browse the Walmart website before buying anything. If I find something I’d like to buy, I check to make sure it is in stock at the Chico store. Every time I go into the store to buy something, the price is higher, sometimes significantly. The cashier always needs approval from a manager. I show them, on my phone, the in-stock listing (same description, product number, picture etc.). The managers conveniently have their own phones that show a different price than I’d see on any other device or network. Walmart falsely advertises a product price on their website to lure you into the store (the cashier from my most recent visit admitted so), only to sell you the same product at a higher price than listed online. Walmart.com states that they do in-fact price match not only their own website but others as well. This is a lie. Order from Amazon and don’t waste your time going into the store because you will pay a higher price than you’re shown online.

Theyre flipping their store around rn so nothing is where it was. Seem to be doing a good job keeping product on the shelves though. Also, they have the front bathroom under remodeling but they do have bathrooms in the back and an separate bathroom between them for parents/handicapable individuals.

Good place to run in a grab an item. Great prices!

I am training an ADA Service Dog 🐕‍🦺. I went to Walmart to buy dog things i.e., food, leads, collars, bed, etc. They refused entrance for the dog. Hes 10 weeks old and this was our first car ride, first out in public time, was being held in my arms, never to touch their floor. I have PTSD and recently lost my service dog of 18 years. To be denied entry was so very wrong. Ill never shop at a Walmart again.

Good prices, good selection of items. Too many locked cabinets that you have to search for someone with keys to open.

This place is always rad. Always get assistance, the people are neat. By that, I mean the staff have high morale, its a clean store too.

Store itself is nice and so are most of the associates, but there are always a few rude ones. My biggest complaint is how rude a lot of customers are. Its definitely not the stores fault at all, but seriously folks, kindness goes a long way.

Its a Walmart. Parking is good and the service is about on par for what youd expect. Lines tend to be shorter than expected on weekends. Avoid around the first of the month unless you have great need and are willing to wait extended times.

Terrible, went to checkout with cart full of groceries at oroville supercenter and there was not one checkstand open. Left cart and went shopping elsewhere. No more Walmart for mr.

They are okay the shelves were kind of empty and things were kind of just everywhere. The workers are rude and they profile none asks if you need help you have to search for stuff your self things are empty and people are rude smile more be more positive and dont assume everyone is a thief

Well it was a Walmart, but not as messy as most Walmart usually are. It was a good size walmart and as a huge grocery section in it. Of course its not a grocery store but if I was already there and needed to make dinner, I could buy groceries there to make a meal.

Its Walmart cmon. Always entertaining, didnt have the printer ink i needed tho. They should just put everything in vending machines then they wont have to bother the workers every other minute.

This is the Chico Walmart. Lousy service, Two hours before I got my car in just because everyone had to have lunch together. Come on their not a bunch of grade school. Then a half wait because of lunch. I rather go to hell before, I go in there again.

You wont be able to find a single thing in here, I can almost guarantee it. Staff doesnt care and neither do the customers Walmart attracts. Youre better off spending a little more at Target.

I went to buy some moisturizer. Evidently you don’t lock up things anymore at all in this department. So you are required to pay as you leave that little tiny department. No one wants to stand in line twice. This is very inconvenient if you have more shopping to do. I will be shopping at Target in the future. I am done with Walmart.

They never have enough lanes open, and if you for any reason have a backpack (student, motorcycle rider, cycling, etc.) Dont even bother walking in as theyll kick you out. The only thing they have better than Target is the fishing section. Other than that Im going down the street.

Most of the time a lot of the registers arent open so there can be very long lines so I opt to do self check out.

Walmart is always a great place to shop. Especially when you have multiple errands to do in a day. Here you can shop clothes, grocery, prescription for glasses and meds. You can even get your car services. Great convenience

I think this is the Chico location. They lock up everything so you have to find an associate (good luck). I skipped on buying a few embarrassing items as well...

This Walmart is not a super Walmart but they do have a decent amount of food and frozen items. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful.

Its Walmart so hopefully the expectations were not set too high. They have lockers for things that dont really seem like they need to be locked up (understandable considering the amount of homeless and drug users in the area) however you have to wait a considerable amount of time for assistance to get into said lockers and usually no one comes after you press the button you have to physically track an employee down and thankfully most on floor have keys. I also purchased a shirt only to find out that it was cut presumably by a box knife probably by the associate that put it on the floor. On top of all that the selection of items on floor is pitiful and the organization of the store is extremely outdated and oddly placed making it extremely difficult to find things.

Its Walmart you know what your getting into when you go here......I always enjoy the show though 😉

This store is in SERIOUS need of a reboot. The store is dated, shabby, dirty, overcrowded with stuff and in general depressing to shop in. It seems like they try to fit way too much merch on the shelves here; almost as if its a reg Wal-Mart trying to stock the same amount of merch as a Super Wal-Mart. It was so busy, and not just with customers, ya feel me? The aisles are tiny and for someone like myself who gets social anxiety, its a deal breaker when I have to pickup & depart the store because of there just being so much to take in and navigate. Idk if that makes sense, but those of you who have experienced anxiety or panic attacks and the like will know 100% what Im talking about! This store needs to do better & step up there game. I know not every Wal-Mart is going to look like our brand new Oroville Wal-Mart, but seriously, they CAN do better (and def can afford the upgrade)!

Not sure if they dont really care about the mask mandate. Ive had friends who told me they dont but everytime Ive gone I see everyone shopping and the employees wearing one. Im fully vaccinated, so idk why places are still requiring even for fully vaccinated people.

Walmart use to be our go to place for a lot of things we needed. But now they are not the cheapest place to get everyday items. They have gotten just as expensive as the grocery stores and others. They will get things in and varieties we use and like so we buy there but then they don’t bring it back at all. They are not my go to place anymore..To me they seemed to take advantage of disasters we have gone through along with all other businesses. I do love that they were there and helped with the Campfire survivors. That was awesome of them.

When I walked into the store I brought in my drink and was promptly told to throw it away. Mind you Im a first responder and just worked 12 hours so you could imagine Im thirsty and tired. They allow subway drinks inside but not my outside drink. Ive never been told in a Walmart before that I can not bring in my drink. Next, the workers were rude. I was kindly standing there looking at the collector cards & the worker kept yelling from a distance you need someone to look back there. Mind you I wasnt behind the register, and I wasnt touching anything. Instead of yelling across the store she could of sent an employee over there to assist us. Instead she acted like we were going to steal. We werent hurting anything. The employees were a rude. We did not feel welcomed. My visit was horrible. The hour I drove to get there and to find what I needed out of stock was very disappointing. The atmosphere is unwelcoming. Im i will not be going back.

Walmart is the only place that carries true `Merican clothing. AND only the best! Made in Vietnam. Chico store is as good as it gets. Even if its a not a true super Walmart, its super in my book. It even stays open until 11. Its clean and the one checker that we seem to get every night we go. Shes a talker. Even when the line is backed all the way back to the dressing rooms. Thats what I call friendly customer service. I can only rate this a 3 star though but only because the ankle bracelet blue light checkers in the parking lot sorta creep me out!

1st time at this particular store... and i wasnt familiar with the curbside pick up... so i had to go in... it was a good experience!

Brought a new moto G 7 with camera and video, great phone many apps with free phones and texting 5 volcanoes Oregon and Washington states.

I hate that everything is locked up in this store. If you want to buy something you have to find an employee (an employee that had a key, no less). Then they open the case, and THEY have to take your item to the front. All I can say is dont try to buy anything in there during shift change, I literally got NO help!

Not the best food selection but they definitely know how to let everyone feel good about what there getting so there worth all the pennies that you can scrounge up at least have a dollar in your pocket and they treat you like family

This is an older store and not a super center. The layout of the store is awkward, parking is awkward. The staff has always been courteous and the store has a decent selection. We need a new super center Wal-Mart in Chico well away from the busy congested mall area!

Whenever going to any Walmart location, especially this one, I do not have any issues with the customers or the staff being irate of any sorts. I am the kind of individual that does not like to ask where stuff is. But when I do, they seem to know just where I need to be. I am upset, that Walmart changed their app layout, and now you cannot see where stuff is located in the store.
