Pronghorn Precision is a hidden gem. I almost don’t want to share how good it is because of all the scarcity out there right now. Really good folks run the place and it had a nice, casual “stay awhile and chat” feel to it. I highly recommend.

Brought two Tikka rifles to have barrels threaded and fitted with muzzle brakes. One Tikka was 270 Win and other Tikka was 30-06, when I picked up rifles owner asked if both were 270s. I answered no, stainless barrel was 30-06 and he asked if I could wait a couple minutes. I could hear him in back of shop grinding metal. Couple weeks after picking up rifles, I went to range with 30-06 Tikka to sight in after mounting scope. I fired one round from my rifle and noticed the round went 4 to 5 feet to the left. I checked the end of the muzzle brake and could see where the right side of muzzle brake along opening was blown out a little. I pulled bolt from the rifle and looked down the barrel and was able to see part of muzzle brake was offset to barrel opening. When I got home I took the muzzle brake off and noticed right away threading was very loose, I can move the brake side to side. Also muzzle brake was held on to barrel with Loctite. I had to have barrel cut, recrowned and threaded again by a different gunsmith. I wouldnt take my pellet guns to Pronghorn Precision. Very dissapointed with the barrel threading and muzzle brake mounting work done on my rifles. And I took muzzle brake off of my 270 Win rifle and muzzle brake is very loose fitting too and it was secured with Loctite on to the barrel.

Robby knows his stuff- he built one of their custom muzzle breaks for me and set it up on my new .300 win-mag. He also loaded some lapping rounds and set me up with a sequence to get it dialed in quickly and now it’s a tack driver. Great guy, great place- give them a look if you haven’t already
