Not used to be when I was a kid and went to it on Third Ave.The Dairy Queen Corp cheaper out and changed the recipe of the soft serve. The hot fudge tasted artificial. Not worth it anymore.

Ice cream is really good, bought an oreo ice cream cake last time and it was perfect!The only thing is the location, I dont really like it, its not that safe.

The service was terrible my freeze look like a baby made it, it was nasty.. not professional at all..the owner was there and was complaining that the worker was stuck in Tijuana Mexico...It was suprising that the owner made my freeze not the employee...

Ice cream product was great also customer service is great the guy who did our order wow was great I forgot his name but it was great only thing they have signs no sitting in tables witch I agree but the dogs look tacky they should be more professional as dairy queen has a name of reputation besides the product was great customer service is a huge key specially in this pandemic times again thank you so much dairy queen and the employees great customer service. This was on Chula Vista in palomar street it was today Saturday around 3:00pm thanks again kiddos for the guy and the lady workers.

Our order was not made right...then after we complained, the employee who made them was very argumentative but after a long wait, it was remade exactly the same way it was originally made...when we complained a second time we were informed that it was made with the ingredients that the store had on hand & they were out of the additional ingredients that it was supposed to be made with...plus we had asked for extra cake & were charged $2(x2)(one for each order)& it was paid for but we didnt recieve it...terrible experience...

This specific Dairy Queen was very disappointing. First I asked for a summer berry cheesecake blizzard and they said they don’t have mixed berries. Then when they made me another one, about a third of the way down, it was just vanilla soft serve ice cream. I didn’t pay $5 for a partial blizzard.I won’t be going back anymore.

I don’t usually give reviews specially bad ones but the ice cream at DQ is not cheap and what I got was ridiculous. I asked for a Blizzard and he couldn’t even put it upside down because the thing was melted. The higiene of this place needs to be inspected.

Service is ok. They really dont smile or welcome you when you walk in the door. The place is clean inside and out. The food is what you expect from DQ. 3 stars for OK friendliness, attentiveness, and no public restrooms. I think theyre busy in the back working on cakes most of the time.

Paid a visit Thursday afternoon and asked for a caramel frappe. Once I left, I realized she gave me chocolate. I mean, semi sweet chocolate chunks were mixed in WELL. Thank God I don’t have an allergy to chocolate, but it did upset my stomach. I couldn’t finish it! If I wasn’t on a schedule I would have went back to get a refund. It was terrible. I won’t be back again. If she didn’t have caramel she should have told me instead of trying to play it off. I would have just picked something else. Bad customer service, and I hope you let her know that substituting a customers order like without their knowledge isn’t acceptable.

We hadnt had a blizzard in years! We got 5 larges. Each one was perfect. The staff is fun, and so friendly! Thank you for making our time in San Diego even nicer!

I just had the worst experience today sept 3rd, 2019 the girl getting our ice cream order told me and my girlfriend a very disrespectful and rude comment and continued to laugh about it. I did not find it anywhere near amusing or her place to be speaking. I love the ice cream we go at least once a few weeks. But that was uncalled for. And I am very upset, and to top it off the manager was not there so I couldn’t talk to anybody about the situation.

Only ones in the store. Ordered a mini blizzard, triple chocolate brownie and an orange Julius. Here were 3 workers in the store, one of them consumed 2 bags of chips while standing behind the counter while the gal who took my order started preparing mine.....one at a time, while the 2 guys goofed around. My opinion...we were the only ones there, all 3 should have prepped the order to expedite. It took almost 10 Minutes to get our order...one item at a time.

I asked for a classic Georgia mud fudge blizzard. The young man said he didnt know how to make one. So I suggested he look at all the recipes on the freezer. He found it! And made a perfect blizzard! Thank you!

I’m sure the food or service is great??? Drove all the way there with no parking available. It’s not the first time, I have done this several times. Wanting a blizzard, and to my avail I will not walk across a busy street with little children.

Since this location does not have burgers, I looked to the other food items on the menu. After waiting for a long time in line, my request for one of the food items was met with the dreaded phrase were out. Turns out they ran out of the main ingredient, which happens to be the main ingredient for every food item on the menu.I purchased a blizzard to ensure that the trip wasnt a waste of gas, I received the dessert upside down. The taste was fantastic.However, in the end, my hunger was not satisfied.

If something you see is advertised and you try to go to this location, odds are theyll not have it. Been here about 10 different times as it is closest to my house, but every time what I originally went in for is always sorry we ran out. How you run out 10 minutes after you open and the store empty. Smh. Good if you want the classic menu but not for advertised combos or anything special you see advertised on tv

This used to be a good store, but recently there has been a change in all the staff. The last 2 times that I went to get the newest blizzard they did not know how to make it or have the ingredients. I wont be going here again.

Its really good Ice cream. My son and my husband always get the blizzards and they like saying, oh I hope they forget to turn it upside down so we can get it free. Lol. They always do it. My girls get sundaes or a dipped ice cream cone. I dont get anything cuz I dont eat that, I prefer yogurt.

Called on the phone and employee sounded very annoyed when I asked a simple question about their hours then hung up on me. Not very friendly...I’m sure the blizzards and everything else is fine. But I heard they don’t accept the gift cards

Came by to this dq today, I have come to this particular location several times and everytime I come Ive noticed they never have or accept the current promotions running in the dq webpage, I find this situation bothersome to me personally, I dont see the sense of having the name of a particular food chain if they wont accept or offer the same promotions being promoted in the webpage, I wont be coming to this location anymore, I will just go to the Mission Valley location which does accept the webpage promotions, so fyi if you come expecting to get a promotion from the webpage just skip the hassle of being told they dont accept it, just go to Mission Valley or another location you can find.

This place sucks, sorry but its such a shame that you even sell giftcards when your stores dont even have a system to honor them! And at this particular store they were very rude when telling me this, didnt help that I had a hungry kid at home and no money at the time so was counting on using the giftcards to feed him.Major disappointment. Even months later and they still dont honor the cards because of theyre system being not up to date. Ridiculous really

Came here on free cone day to find out theyre not participating. I forgot their reason (I think it was related to their machine being down)but I definitely saw people running around with some kind of ice cream cones. I reluctantly ordered a frappe instead which was half ***ed and messy around the top. Now that I think about it, it was missing whip cream as well.

The blizzard was delicious but the girls at the registrar didnt smile and when I asked her s question she looked like it bothered her to answer the question. She looked like she didnt want to be there.

The girls at the counter were rude. Speaking a language I didnt understand and it seems they were only nice to there own race.

I just went to the dairy queen on palomar in Chula vista. There were about 4 people on the lobby already watching the tv. I stood at front counter for about 3 minutes. Then I yelled hello toward the back of the store. After a few more minutes I called the dairy queen and asked them to come to the front of the store and assist me. There was no apology. Just a very blank and emotionally unavailable girl by name of Darla. Some guy named Tom left shortly after she did by to him. Then some other girl came to the front. Very negative experience to have to call for them to come attend customers. U has not been to a dairy queen for 9 years. Maybe Ill stick with cold stone.

Food was great, but the blizzard machine had to be replaced when it wouldnt work and the credit card machine wouldnt work either.

I was in the mood for ice cream and i found this place. I remember my parents taking us here for the weekend treats. I always got the dipped cones and cherished it. When i saw that there were 3 sizes i was shocked becuase back in the day there was only one size so i opted for the medium. At $3.45. I thought that was pretty pricey for what i thought was a medium. But he when gave me the cone i couldnt believe how big the cone was. It was pretty huge for a medium and fulfilling. Actually in comparison to the size i remembered when i was a kid, id say that this cone now was bigger and still deliscious.

I like coming here when Im in the mood for some quick ice cream, there is usually no wait like, not really packed, and i always get my order fast.

I walked in with my family and the guy that took our order was very helpful and had great customer service, he answered all of our questions with great manner and managed to make our order in very little time.

Gross. Had homeless people in it just hanging out. The hotdogs were grey inside. AMD it smelled like a dispensary was growing weed plants in the back. Just gross.
