NEVER GO HERE!! Rude and ignorant. I ordered online for pickup and paid ahead with my name. Nowhere did it say that I needed to bring a copy of my receipt to pick up the order. Even though I named every single item in the order and they had no other orders ready, they would not give it to me. So I had to call my spouse to go thru her emails and find what they were looking for so they can touch my phone and see what I already was saying. Just adding 20 minutes for literally no reason. Terrible service
Most disgusting dessert Ive ever had. I ordered the classic & if you have the nerve to call that a classic then something is wrong with you. How are you going to put REGULAR BEANS with ice cream and shaved ice. At least make the beans sweet so that its actually edible. 1 star is a compliment for these desserts, I would give negative stars if I could.
Have had better halo-halo, but the customer service was pretty good!
This is my first time to visit this place and i love it. They have alot of varieties of halo-halo, macarons and other filipino food. I ordered tokwat baboy and i love how crispy their pork is. We had fresh lumpia too but we didnt like it that much. But overall this place is amazing, will definitely come back to try their other food.
I love this place. Foods are good. One thing that we would like to have customers to get avail of is their restroom. It is not available for customers. We have to be directed to use Starbucks restroom which is unfair for Starbucks.
Bringing the food home and eating it still has the same flavor. The food authentic as if Lola cooked it. Prices right and flavor as if you were eating at an outside café in the Philippines
Be warned you are not getting what you see in the pictures on the menu! The whole reason we came here in the first place was for the amazing waffle halo halo in the pictures. It’s still hanging on their wall but they don’t serve it anymore! My chicken soup came in a black plastic bowl with a tiny plastic spoon and fork. It seems it is made with simple frozen veg mix and really low quality chicken that was very rubbery tasting. I could only finish a quarter of it even though I was super hungry after hiking up the mother Miguela mountain. Our eight year old son took most of the halo halo drink out and put it into the bowl you see in the photo, because he said the ice pieces were too big. He usually eats anything sweet! Both kids said the halo halo was not that great. My son also added that he couldn’t taste the condensed milk that was supposed to be there. The ice cream macaron tasted stale and my husband said that his macaron was even worse. But to its credit he did say he could taste the green tea flavor of the ice cream. To make matters worse the cashier didn’t care to explain how to make a halo halo ( we had never had one before) and the menu screens were turned off for some reason. When she did say something, rather unwillingly, her accent was so strong I gave up asking her to repeat herself after a couple times, because it was just getting too awkward.Maybe it’s the change in management someone reviewed about 9 months ago. But they really shouldn’t advertise food they don’t serve anymore.
Good filipino food. Try their crispy pata, better than goldilocks. Sinigang and palabok are good too. Crispy tokwat baboy the best. Serving is also generous. All is to go only due to covid restrictions. But i havent tried their sweets yet.
Workers need more training for Customer Service… very slow service … I’m very disappointed
Great food but slow service.
Love this place was worth the drive!! Very sweet! But they stop selling macaroons and I really wanted one they should post it some where!! Other then that drink was very good!
Very nice place to go on a hot day to order a Halo Halo. Which is a Filipino cold desert that has alot of traditional sweet topping plus a scoop of Filipino ice cream flavors. Such as Ube, Macapuno and other flavors made of fruits native to the Philippines. They also serve all the traditional dishes like Pancit, Sisig, Tapsilog, and more. Good place for take out and if you phone in your order ahead of time, the wait time is very short.
I Love this place, the best Halo Halo
I was expecting my milk fish, whole and really crispy. The pancit noodles were covered in this orange cream sauce, kinda salty. Bad experience for my first time. Other recommendations are welcomed.
Great place to get your Filipino Food. Every dish is wonderful. The Crispy Sisig is the best here and tried everywhere else but this is the go to. The Beef Mechado and Tapa are exceptional. Always say yes to Yellow Rice.
Halo halo was awesome! Their food was decent as well! The Crispy Bicol Express and Crispy Sisig is my go to! Savory and delicious! I was told by many their Palabok was on point as well...I will have to see for myself... I will update once I have!
Too small to dine in for 8 people and restroom was not available
Went in with a large order of 8 drinks for our family. We had 3 other groups of customers come after us. I understand theres the covid-19 pandemic right now and they want to get customers in and out as quickly as possible but it looked like they finished all the customers that came in after us before even starting our drinks. Or they had 1 person making our drinks really slowly while the other person made everyone elses. Either way it felt kind of messed up and didnt make sense to see everyone that ordered after us served first when they ordered multiple drinks too.
Clean restaurant but service is really slow.I like it that their staff members are wearing uniform, its a plus.food flavor dont know yet, TBA.
The ice creams are so good and the selection is awesome. Just wish the menu was posted and dummy proof for people whove never been or arent familiar with Filipino food
Tapsilog is bomb here.
Great food, I thought it was just a cafe and ice cream parlor.
Cant get enough of this place. Just like mom should to cook. Good food cooked just right
Their halo halo and banana con hielo is so good!! We were 3 times while we were on vacation in San Diego. Definitely one of the best!!
Its ok
Great place to try new bite and taste when in a mood for pacific islander twist on foods
I visit this place for my son who is a special child. My child has a special need. I always get him an avocado ice cream. I was always satisfied for the service coz the owner Ms Conching was always accommodating. Everything changed with my last visit when the two male servers were the one handling the orders.. I ordered 4 halo halo and a large avocado ice cream for my son... which is up to 3 flavors. I decided to introduce a new flavor for him so I asked for the third flavor to be in a separate cup.. like an ordinary DISPOSABLE cup and the guy at the counter said NO. He was very rude. He said it will be considered a separate order. I can understand if he at least said SORRY We cant do that! I almost cancelled all my orders and should have left but I tried really hard to compose myself and still kept my orders. I will never ever visit this place again. To the guy at the counter.. i hope you learn some good customer service. Google it!
Far but its worth it
Halo halo is one of the best i ever had.The food is aight its not that bad but its not that good. Also the food for me is a little over price. But as far as Halo Halo. I gave it 5 star.
Its a small operation, but the halo halo and ice cream is pretty good. Theres usually a wait since they seem to be minimum-staffed, but we didnt mind. Havent had a chance to try the food, but everything looked and smelled appetizing.
First, I do know the business owner and my answers are unbiased and truthful. Halo Halo is made with traditional ingredients and your choice of more or less of one thing or another. Its delicious and refreshing if you dont mind an ice and milk mixture. I would recommend HHC because of the variety of desserts one can choose from. Lastly, they also serve excellent Phillipino food!
Fancy place to cool down. Delicious halo halo and other variety of ice cream. Serving are amazing, good food but luck of service.
Place is very good!! If you like conchings before it was sold...then youll like this place. Highly recommended
God do I love Halo halo. A truly welcome treat from the Philippines.
First time at this location. Rather curious when I read that they were the former owners of Conchings. Tried the Halo-halo and I have to admit its better than most of what I have tasted around town.
I had the oportunity to visit the kitchen and i have never seen an a most clean kitchen, the cooking pans and floor were so clean and organized, the owner is extremely kind and sweet
Crispy Binagoongan was my preferred! My partner really liked his Spam, Egg,
This place is a place to see! Very creative and inventive smoothies and Filipino food looks marvelous! Nicest staff!
I was visiting family in San Diego and we went here for halo-halo. Friendly employees and quick service made our visit very pleasant. Our favorites were the halo-halo and palabok. Can’t wait to come back again!
Great shaved ice desserts. They also serve Filipino foods with full of flavors.
Nice place good food
Just underwent a change in ownership. The halo halo is still the best anywhere, but the hot food, while decent, isnt as great as it used to be.
Excellent acai bowls, ube ice cream, pork menudo, Korean short ribs, macaroons, and boba. Lots of menu options. Very friendly staff take time to explain menu items too.
Good tastinh Filipino food. Too bad they only serve ala carte.
Amazing place with amazing food and drinks! And icecream!!!!! Very clean and very fresh. Ill definitely be going back.
Not sure why this place has high rating. Halo halo was so underwhelming.
Awesome Halo Halo! They serve good Filipino comfort food! Looks like its under new management. So good!
Halo Halo cafe has the best Tocino and Pancit Palabok as well as Halo Halo in San Diegocounty! The food is cooked perfectly and tasty! As for Halo halo lovers who don’t like beans, you can buy Halo Halo with no beans, which is a great option for my kids. The new management have great customer service and offer a variety of food on their menu. They also offer party trays at great prices. I am a first timer and I am defiantly coming back!
For a first time experience the place serves up some good food and desert...
If youre looking for great Filipino food or desserts, then this is the place! They offer tons of different types of food from Halo Halo, to acai bowls and ice cream. If youre looking for some real Filipino food then they have lechon kawalu, pancit bihon, lumpias and more!If youre tired of the regular Halo Halo and love mango, then try the mango con leche with ube ice cream.Highly recommend this place!
Went here awhile back when they first opened and wasnt too impressed with their food; came back recently and it seems they made some changes for the better. Its nice to know we dont have to drive all the way to national city to get some decent halo halo! They have a wide variety of ice creams to choose from, and even give you the option to have beans or no beans. Along with their halo halo, they also have various boba drinks which I havent had a chance to tasteAs far as food, they have a surprising amount of food! This isnt your typical point point Filipino food spot, the food is actually made to order and come out freshly cooked. So far weve tried the TLT (Tapa, longganisa, tocino) breakfast plate, and the crispy Pata. Both entrees were delicious! Will definitely come back to try other drinks and food items.
Food taste great, if they want to get more customers they should consider lowering prices.
I totally recommend this local very clean lot of goodies got lost ended 2 be a win win tapioca cup with 2 scoops some nut flavored ice cream awesome Ness check it out .
Nothing but deliciousness and variety. They cook with love and things are made to order.
We ordered a pancit and left without it one night and while we were driving away about 300 ft the cashier is running along the side of our car trying to tell us about the forgotten pancit. Thats what you call good customer service.
These are the originals from Conchings if you remember that place. Halo halo is on point. Andi love their sisig
Delicious food, customer service was good.. except for one thing...they forgot my order & my kids & I were left waiting over 30 mins for ice cream, boba & 1 cookie☹
Loves pork skin but no space to sit down
Bad first experience. After Iwe ordered and pay for it, then Waited for 40 minutes. I asked for my order and somehow totally forgot that we ordered. Wow!!!!
N ever had thai tea ice cream before, was pretty good
Food is great everytime we go.
The Halo Halo was meh. The only good thing about it was the ice cream on top, which was very tasty.
By far the best halo-halo Ive had in the US.
It was kind of ok
Tasty takes on Filipino desserts and drinks, yummy Filipino comfort food.
The food is AMAZING the service is 10 stars!
Really Good food, service has gotten much better.
I have never tried Halo Halo before it is a very interesting drink that I like and if you have never tried it before you should at least one time.
Like it a lot
Magnolia ice cream brings back memories of the Philippines!
Every thing is good.
They have lots of options. They serve more than ice cream, halo halo and teas.
Delicious foods and desserts!
Their palabok is hands down the best!!!!!
