After looking all over the area for a storage facility open on a Sunday I found this Location. I was in contact with Katherine through the process. She was very sweet over the phone and she was a huge help at the office. She made everything so simple and has such amazing energy that helped this stressful process. Thank you Katherine for the genuine help and care you give your customers!

Terrible! My things were in this unit for two and a half years. A mouse got into my boxes and left feces all over everything. My boxes were tapped shut very well. Mouses will chew through anything, they don’t care. Oh and don’t try and call anyone because NO ONE calls you back. The Sheetrock on the ceiling has a gap.The foundation in the unit is cracking. Roaches were in my boxes and furniture. So many of my memories, items had to be thrown away! There’s no way this building is keeping up with extermination. This is very said. I spoke to the property manager (Laura) and she said she would have Jason (CEO) call me. I contacted Jason myself last week and haven’t heard back. As a customer I am very unhappy with how things are being handled.

We worked with Katherine, and she was great! We have had a rough time with the movers and she put in the extra mile by calling them up to give directions and space availability for the moving truck.She saved us a ton of money!

I called early afternoon on Saturday to check on storage for family members moving to the area. Staff member Victoria was at a different location, but agreed to meet me at the property before it closed and set about making this experience as painless as possible. She was efficient, pleasant to work with and went out of her way to help me rent two storage units. Great customer service!

I obtained a Unit from this facility and received a contract for usage of the unit. Public Storage did not honor this contract and increased the cost of usage without proper advanced notice. I have contacted management through emails, chat, and voicemails. After a month of messages i have gotten no response. Beware of this location and other locations with this name. They have increase the amount due over 3 times and management is non-existent. Beware

I am new to this and Laura answered all of my questions thoroughly. The storage units seem very secure and are very clean/nice. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good storage location. The location is very safe and secure. 5 Stars.

This is my first time renting a storage unit and I made it the mistake of moving into the wrong unit with the contactless move in, when I tell you these people are on their game they automatically noticed the problem researched who was it that moved into the wrong storage unit by the access gate code, and was getting ready to call me. I was already at the place moving some stuff in and noticed a tag on my door so I went into the office on my own and gave me the option of moving into my correct unit or keeping the one that I have which was a little bit bigger, I ended up keeping it because it ended up being the perfect size, Laura and Jason were very professional, friendly and understanding which made me feel so comfortable... the transition of getting a new lock and code was so quick and easy and I just want to say thank you for that... Not only do I feel like my things are safe and wont be broken into that easily, but I would definitely recommend others to this storage unit! Thanks again Laura and Jason keep up the great work! You guys were awsome!

Fantastic experience. Laura showed us a unit Saturday and was very informative. After thinking about it, we decided to rent a unit with them. Debbie finalized the deal today with her expertise and customer service. Debbie was very thorough and helped us find just the right size unit for our needs. She had such a great attitude and I appreciate that she was working on Labor Day which will make my week easier.

Utilized this property over the last six months. Best location in the Clayton area. Utilized a climate control unit which was perfect in minimizing humidity and moisture issues, plus was able to protect the items I was storing with the different options the location has to offer in their office. I utilized mattress bags and a sofa cover for my furniture which kept it smelling fresh that I didnt think of previous to putting items in the space. Laura was very pleasant to work with as well. Would recommend and utilize in the future.

Staff was great, very clean and laid out well. Amy was great to deal with explained everything. The email notifications need some help though. They sent out my gate code but failed to include the leading and trailing characters. Luckily I was supplied that information at the site. They also sent out a welcome email with general information but failed to include hours for access to your unit. I was able to take advantage of the Labor Day special but it wasnt clear how long that would be in effect. I was advised at least 6 months, I hope so. It would also help if they trimmed the tree in front of their sign. If you didnt know it was there you would miss it. Minor points that dont change the fact a great place to do business with.

Please steer clear. We rented a climate controlled large storage unit for storage for our furniture while we were building a house. We paid a premium for this unit. After moving in all our furniture, we started noticing water spots/mold on the ceiling. We immediately contacted the manager, who gave us a sheet of plastic to cover the items, and said they would put in a request, expedited, to have the roof fixed. Weeks later, the roof was not fixed, and we kept calling, talking to a regional manager. When we noticed the leak, we asked at the time about their liability for any damages due to the facility issue, and were told they were not responsible, and we should take out additional insurance on the unit, at additional cost. Given the value of the items in the unit, we did thankfully take out this insurance. Five months later, the rate of the unit escalated pretty substantially. One month after this, we moved our items out, as the new house was now built. One mattress and box spring was completely soaked, stained and ruined,and other items were slightly damaged. All items had mouse and rodent droppings. The local branch seemed totally unconcerned when notified, and calls and emails to corporate were never returned. The only positive I can give is the Orange Door additional insurance was very nice and easy to work with.

Laura was excellent ! She went above and beyond to make the storage part of our move to NC run smoothly. Explained everything, drove us out to the unit and back, just great service. The location is perfect, only minutes from our place. We are very satisfied customers

Recently I experienced an issue with the overhead door in my storage unit, It would not stay up and would roll down. I went to the office and spoke with Ms Laura and requested to have it fixed/repaired. As I have a 26 year old convertible vehicle in there. Ms Laura advised me she would contact the maintenance personnel and have it repaired. I requested if it was possible for her to contact me when they arrived so that I could move the vehicle out of the unit and allow them to make the repair. Ms Laura went out of her way when she contacted me advising me that the repair crew was at the facility. I arrived within minutes, moved the vehicle out of the unit and the crew made the necessary adjustments and the door operates the way it should. I was in and out within 10-15 minutes. Ms Laura provided extraordinary customer service. She went the extra mile and gained a very satisfied customer. She is a credit to Public Storage.

The service is friendly and the ability to pay online is convenient. That being said, I had only two issues but one was a pretty big one in my estimation. First, they do jack the rate up substantially, and its not an annual increase, it just seems to be when they feel like it. Secondly, I had to pay extra for a climate controlled unit because they said thats all they had at the time. It was far from climate controlled. I should have known when I looked at it before taking it, but I was desperate at the time. The threshold in to the unit was rotted out and not attached in any way. Spray foam insulation they had applied around the door frame was loose and just hanging there. There were leaves, dirt and empty rodent baits in the unit. I just moved out and while I appreciated them pro-rating my final payment so I wouldnt have to pay a full month, I didnt appreciate the mold and mildew on some of my items in their climate controlled unit. I told the person on duty who was un-interested. I will not be using Public Storage again.

Prices keep going up, so Ill be actively looking to get rid of this storage unit. Last increase was nearly a 20% increase.

We have talked on the phone in the past and I usually pay online so I hadnt put a face with a name. I was coming home from work and decided to stop by. Right when I walked in Leslie greeted me. She has a great personality and is very nice. It is a great experience to go to a business where you find people like Leslie, who are professional and eager to help customers.I dont know if you will see this Leslie but thank you for being so nice and helpful. The customer service is horrible. They never return calls, lose payments and now you cannot even leave a message. When I first stored my thing there, the people were fantastic. I could pay my bill on line and it was easy. Now corporate changes your user id without notification and you cannot get it. The best up-grade - now you can pay by check.

I just moved here from NY a few days ago. I had the awesome opportunity and pleasure of meeting Leslie! As soon as I got there she made me feel right at home. She noticed i was having a long stressful day and did her best to make it run a little smoother for me. She is such a happy person her mood rubbed off onto me. I left there smiling and care free cause i knew my stuff was in good hands! She absolutely made my day. She even gave me a ride back to my storage on her cool little car! (sense you know Im a new yorker and was about to die of heat exhaust) :P She was very helpful and if i could i would rate her 1000 times over again of 5 stars!!!! :D

The lady that helped me today was exceptional! I was doing a favor for a good friend of mine who is relocating from Greensboro to Raleigh and the lady at Public Storage who helped me, Ms. Leslie was wonderful! I had to do a ton of calling back and forth to ask questions and each time I just thought she must be tired of me keep calling, but each time she answered my questions with ease. She was so pleasant and friendly! I was so glad to finally go there and meet her!

They had just what I was looking for in temporary storage and at a great price. The staff, lady named Laura, was friendly and helpful, and showed me a united and set up the rental. Great location for my needs and great service.

I had a Public Storage unit for around six months at this location and my experience was very pleasant. Steve made getting into the unit in the middle of my crazy one day move quick and easy! The facility was clean, the details were clear, and both in store and online I had no problems what-so-ever. When the Target fraud landed me a new debit card, Leslie called me up before I had a late fee to let me know my autopay needed to be changed over. I was incredibly pleased with my experience and if I ever need some extra space, would have no problem renting a unit with them again!

Alexander is the absolute best. He’s kind and str8 to the point. His attitude is superb!

Steve helped me out today. I received great service. I planned to show up the next day but my plans changed and was able to show up the day before. He helped me to get everything squared away in less than a half hour! Great service!!

Bait and Switch, they know your moving out of state so they give you a good rate, then when you are too far away to move the items, they jack the rate up. Renter beware. Also, facility is old and dilapidated. Lights are always off at night, not very safe. Find somewhere else to store your stuff.

We moved from out of state and needed to rent a house while our home was being constructed. We rented a 20x20 climate controlled unit. Our realtor recommended them. The folks were pleasant and efficient. We had filled it to capacity there for 16 months. This should have a happy ending but didnt so thats why we rated it so low. Read on: During the last summer we decided to drop in and check out our things. To our horror we found the unit to be swelteringly hot and humid. We went to the management to ask what temperature the unit is maintained at and they said the highest is 80 degrees before the AC kicks in. It was in the 90s that day. We were told that another unit owner noticed the same problem and brought it to their attention but it is unknown how long the AC compressor was malfunctioning before it was reported. We were unable to see to the back of the unit and determine how much damage was done, if any. They assured us the compressor was fixed and that most folks dont even have a climate controlled unit and their contents are fine. Long story short, we had a lot of mildew damage and lost one expensive painting, and the French drains along the floors had sitting water in them. Apparently the managers dont confirm all the AC units are always working. The insurance we bought through the storage place does not cover damage from humidity so we were out of luck. Best option in the future is to use a facility that has an enclosed building with climate control rather than these expensive damp garages.
