Ran over a nail down the road, and stopped here. Even though it was just before closing, they were so nice and saved the day!! Patched the tire and aired it up very quickly! 10/10 recommend and will be returning for services because of their kindness and efficiency.

TREMENDOUS SERVICEPicture yourself driving home from work on US19 in a thunderstorm with your dog riding shotgun. Suddenly, your tire sensor warning starts beeping/flashing in your vehicle. Its alerting you that you are losing air fast in your left rear tire. You Google local tire shops and frantically call around to find a shop thats still open before you and your dog end up immobile on the side of a very hazardous road.Fortunately for me, I found Midas on East Bay Dr. Even though it was near closing time, I was greeted by Technician Kat. She was very friendly and hospitable. We discovered that there was a sharp piece of metal tubing sticking out of the sidewall of my tire.Technician Hami came over and immediately started working on the problem. Again, Hami was courteous, professional and genuinely friendly. Even the owner of the shop, John, came over and assisted with the work. Due to time restraints, we decided to just replace the tire with my spare. At the completion of the job, John was not even going to charge me for the work they had done.Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with the tremendous service I received by this Team of professionals as my dog and I made it home safe.Thank you All!

Super honest! I went in fully expecting a full brake service to be needed after they had been squeaking for a while but their free inspection found that they were still in great shape and I left paying $0.That’s the kind of honesty that builds trust between customers and niche trades.Admittedly some staff didn’t wear a mask which was a bit uncomfortable for me and I can say I would still come back 💯

I had an appointment set for 3:30pm and the shop was ready to serve me right on time! Mr. Colvin helped me with a full synthetic oil change and also diagnosed an engine light problem for my 2004 Forerunner. He was very efficient and conscientious about his work, and helped me get my car running strong and smooth. He noticed that my battery was recently purchased from advanced auto party and referred me to get my battery replaced for free.

I would never do business with this location again!!!!! As a female customer they were very negligent when it came to my vehicle. I went to have work done on my A/C. I purchased my own parts because their prices for parts were ridiculously high so all I had to pay them for was labor. They put in a compressor for my car still tge A/C wasnt working. So I purchased a condenser ( because they said that was the problem) and paid the labor for that. I spent an entire day there to have them put in a condenser. I took the vehicle straight home and on my way home the car started to smoke. Popped the hood and saw there was NO coolent ...so I filled it up. The next day I went 15 minutes up the road and came back....my vehicle was still smoking...Popped the hood and ALL of the coolent was gone. I took the car back to midas because still no A/C. So they were going to put on an expansion valve. Had them look at it to tell me why it was smoking also and loosing coolent.....it was because there was a huge hole in my radiator that one of the mechanics caused the day before. The head mechanic immediately began to place blame and fault on me when I wasnt the one doing the work under the hood. The condenser sits right in front of the radiator so it was common sense as to who was at fault. Now Im stranded at midas with no way to get home because they now have to replace my radiator....which by the way was brand new....and it was 5:00 and they close at 6 so they were refusing to work on it until the next day. The owner was called...John...and he basically was blaming me as well cause he didnt want to replace my radiator. John showed up and after me demanding that my car gets fixed he agreed. So now Im stranded at midas and hes refusing a rental car or anything of the sort. Eventually he agreed to personally take me home...all the while stil blaming me for the damage. Next day they keel my vehicle all day until close. I called several times to check on my vehicle only to be told everything was going good. They added an expansion valve and a new radiator. I was called at coding time and told my car was done and I needed to pay and pick it up. I was charged for the expansion valve and the labor to put it on. They made me pay over the phone and left my car parked in the middle of the parking lot with the windows down .....by the way it was raining terencial rain because of a tropical storm during this time. I arrived to pick up my car to find the windows down, car wet inside, skid plate removed and in my trunk, and the cover over the fan and radiator was not put back on just laid under the hood, and lastly there was a plate or part of some sort hanging underneath the car dragging on the street as I drove it home. STILL NO A/C AND NOW BEING TOLD MY COMPRESSOR WAS FAULTY. This was not only horrible service but negligent as well. I could have blown a head gasket and ruined my Audi for good driving it not knowing they punctured a huge hole in my radiator. They dont care about their customers at all especially female customers. All they wanted was money. NEVER LET THESE PPL WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES IF YOU DONT WANT THEM DAMAGED AND TGEN BLAMED ON YOU. I HATE THIS PLACE. Im calling corporate and possibly even a law suit as well.

I went to this place because all warning lights are on the dashboard. Their diagnostics told me its due to spark plug ang ignition coil issues. Once their done, they claimed to have fix the spark plugs and ignition coils issue but, with the warning lights still on the dash, Midas told me I have to go the dealer. They charged me $600++ . Not satisfied I went to another repair shop, diagnostic showed same issues, I wandered I thought Midas fix them all. However, they can’t also fix the all warning lights on the dash. Frustrated, I did consult Youtube and Google. I followed the DIY instructions, just borrowed a wrench from Autozone and all warnings lights on the dash are gone.....

Danny and Courtney were the two I dealt with most, and were awesomeGuys, along with the rest of the crew I met were all great. I went in for a simple exhaust adjustment on my Alfa Romeo, and they went above and beyond to procure parts needed and completed the job in an extraordinarily fast time, whilst doing it perfectly to my wants and needs! The work was so much above par that I could rate it 10, but that doesn’t do it justice. Personable, fun, and very thorough group of people working there, and I would 100 percent refer them to anyone in need of service. Thank you guys for all of your help and keep up the great work!

Midas was considered an in network auto shop per my vehicle warranty contract company . Although my claim was not approved by my warranty company, Chris still went above & beyond to explain what steps were being taken to figure out problem & only moving forward to the next step once price & technique was agreed upon. Highway Robbery at Best...made a appointment 2 days in advance for a new muffler..told them the make & year of my vehicle,, so the day of my appointment thinking everything will be gravy turn to mud..they didnt have my muffler in stock & said it would be a 3hr wait.!?!.so whats the definition of appointment.?.granted they would offer you ride to wherever & to pick you up but that doesnt make up for the (no friendly working man discount like they said in the beginning) price & to wait 3 hrs.?!?.you better off finding a honest mom & pop shop without corporate B.S.

Visited this location on 8/27/18 due rough idle and acceleration. After running a diagnostic (107.50) the issue was the 3rd ignition coil was miss firing. Recommended solution 4 cyl major tune up (362.20 parts) (154 labor) replacement of 3rd ignition coil (200) and all spark plugs (40.55 x 4 = 162.50) in addition to 3 part fuel induction system service (.99 parts 89.00 labor).Fast forward to today 3/9/19 same issue is occurring decide to research doing the work myself. After a couple of YouTube videos had a good understanding. Headed to AutoZone and was SHOCKED to see the actual cost of parts versus what I was charged by Midas.I was able to buy 4 brand new ignition coils (189) of the exact same brand provided by Midas In addition I was able to buy 4 spark plugs (30). The cost differently is ridiculously.Im am confused on why the cost was so drastically different in regard to parts.To any future customers do some research before making a final decision. Ive been using Midas for quite some time and when I was in a bind they took advantage. This is unfortunate and I hope it assist others.

This place ( Midas at 5105 East Bay Dr) is a gem. The owner John is so welcoming and a gentleman. Honest, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping others. I arrived almost at closing time. He did not hesitate to take care of my SUV at closing time and went above and beyond to take care of the issues I had all with a smile and with great advice. A breath of fresh air in auto service... I would take my car to him anytime.

New management. Last time I was there, there was a lot of sales pressure for different repairs. This time, just the oil change I wanted, done real quick. They did offer tires which I know I will need, but said they were happy to install tires if I bought on line and had delivered to them. The place is a lot cleaner and neater, especially the customer bathroom. Well done!

I had to stop by in a panic when my tire warning light was on with 25 lbs. air pressure. I pulled into my neighborhood Midas and met John, the owner, who was great and said he would put air in my tire free. He wanted to look at the tire and there was a big nail thing in there. He recommended removing tire, patching it from the inside and then balance tire and back on. I really appreciated his care.The store is so clean. When I drove by the other day I saw all the guys outside cleaning the parking lot, painting areas in the parking lot. I told John I noticed it and it looked very nice. I was not surprised when I went into the restroom and it was spotless (this is a garage/grease mans world environment). That was so refreshing.I would recommend this shop due to the care they give in appearance and for the wonderful customer service I received. I will be back. Thanks John and team.

This is an amazing repair shop. I took my truck in there knowing exactly what was wrong. They didnt try to sell me something that I didnt need or didnt want. with a fair price and their mechanic did an excellent job. I believe the owner and the other counter person were extremely friendly and helpful. the mechanic that worked on my truck came out and explained something that I already knew but told me what he did to fix it. And it was related to an oil leak he also went above and beyond cleaning off all the oil with decreasing spray. This shop is about a half hour from my home but I will be back here next time something goes wrong. If I can give them more than five stars I actually would!!!

I came here for the first time for an oil change. From scheduling the appointment to driving out all set, my experience was wonderful. The price for a full synthetic oil change was the best I’ve found and it included tire rotation. They didn’t oversell me anything. I even asked if I needed windshield wipers and they said no. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone. A++

Fool me once shame on them... Fool me twice shame on me... Have brought two of my vehicals here. Both times they said they found the issue and fixed or replaced parts and it turned out to be something else. completely. Im not paying for them to guess what is wrong and that is exactly what they were doing with my vehicals guessing.. Found a true Machanic shop in St. Pete that knows what they are doing.

I was in for a oil change and got that done with no problem. As they were checking my truck out they noticed my tires were not wearing correctly and told me I would need a front end Alignment done. They said they would have to take my truck done the street to get it done at another place for the same price and would bring me back the papers from this other place and what they done there. I agreed and waited at Midas for for about an hour or so for them to bring back my truck. After waiting so long I forgot to ask for the papers to verify that this was done. So I didn’t get the proof if the front end alignment was even done!

Cool place, I dont know much about cars, but they were pretty quick.

I called in the morning and TJ told me to stop over after work. As soon as I arrived, thankfully a bay was open and they took me in immediately. They were so respectful and so helpful and this will be a place I definitely go back to in the future. Just a nice bunch of guys who were very knowledgeable and capable. Thank you very much!

They were very friendly and attentive to my needs. They allowed me to out and look under the car to show me what they were looking at. After telling me my bracks were fine they suggested what I could do to stop the squeaking when I slow to a braking just before a complete stop.

Worked me in for an ac recharge and got me out fairly quick and told me I have a leak, will be returning when its time for another recharge, very reasonably priced.

I have been using this location exclusively since I moved here last August, they have always been courteous, helpful, and fair. Today Terry at the front counter helped me out big time and saved me a ton of $$$ and grief. I thought I was going to have to track down (2002 model year, dont make them anymore) a new mirror for my car and find a body shop to install it. He said lets give it a look and the crew there was actually able to repair the small part that moves the mirror around!! Before you go along with the quote from your dealership or mechanic that requires you to buy a full factory replacement part, check with these guys first!

I don’t know much about cars. I kinda learn as I go... So finding this place that is honest and competent and will not take advantage of a woman not knowing a lot about cars was a true blessing! They are happy to explain to you what is wrong so that you’re not in the dark. So glad to have found this place right in my neighborhood.
