I stopped by this shop today, thinking that the bottom bracket on my bike needed to be replaced. They werent able to work on it today, but the guy working the counter kindly went out to my rv and took a look at my bike. He said he thought the problem was simply that the chain needed a bit of lube. I was doubtful, but tried it. Problem solved! Thanks folks. Beautiful store, with a really nice coffeeshop inside too. Everyone was very friendly.

Snobby people, idk. I went in about a year ago looking for some conversation and suggestions on an entry level bike. They aren’t “your local bike guy” kinda place. I’ll never go back.I could however recommend Santos bike shop in Ocala. Set me up with a nice entry level Giant bike. One that fit my needs. They wanted me to get what I wanted out of the bike rather than get my money.

I was with a couple of friends when one of the owners (Bob) offered to sell a used Trek listed at $2500 for $1500. We questioned his motive for such a deep discount and he simply responded that they (Epic) wanted to move inventory.Approximately, one week later my friend went to purchase this bike. The sales associate acknowledged that Bob more likely than not made this offer in good faith. However, if she wanted the bike it would be $2500.She also had a bike in for repair to the tune of $150. They said, due to the misunderstanding with Bob, your repair is free of charge. Now we have a good-faith misunderstanding - oxymoron right?!?!Look, I’m not trying to drag Epic or Bob or the sales associate. But, a deal is a deal and once you make said deal. The expectations is that you honor that deal. You can make of this what you want. But as for me and my bike team. We will not be patronizing Epic until they are willing to own up to sell the bike as agreed - $1500 and make Bob eat the cost. I’m old school and believe a man’s word is his bond.We ignored all of the negative reviews because we simply believe in supporting small businesses.I hope Bob and the other owner do not try to drag me for telling the truth!

The best bike shop in the Clermont area, I spent about 14k in bikes and they have been the most amazing crew in setting me up . Roman runs a really good sales team and Crow is the best at fixing the bikes . I will be there for my E bike when I save up enough for a purchase .

My wife and I are Clermont natives this place will never see a dime from us. Go to Clermont bicycles they where much more pleasant and we purchased two bicycles from them.

Disgusting customer service just gave them a call for one second and they would not pop my headset cups out something that takes one second . I do not recommend this shop very rude and just hung up quick didn’t want to deal with it . Everytime I call they keep hanging up and won’t the call very nasty. They have a bike shop that will definitely be going out of business very soon with the way they treat customers. Very low, no respect 👎

EPIC fail... I can feel good about the 1 star since they have some gorgeous bikes here. But quite honestly, I am very disappointed I did not allow first impressions to guide me in a different direction instead of wasting 3 hours driving to and from this shop. They dont answer their phones and their voice mails are full leaving you to be disconnected automatically, but I was invited via Facebook instant messaging to come in. They told me they had bikes I was interested in, in my size. When I got there the experience was a bit surreal. I was told to schedule a fitting and come back (even though I do know my size and preferences) and then they would help me put together an order for a bike, because the frame the salesman said is the right one for me isnt in stock. When I asked about the Orbeas I was told were in stock, and I could see out on the floor, the salesman said it was not a good bike for climbing. I asked if there were any bikes I could give a short roll to see how they felt and was told they didnt have any pedals they could put on the bikes...At this point my desire to purchase a bike from this store matched their apparent desire to sell me one. Not sure what could have precipitated such a rancid reception, but even when I was back in college trying out high-end Cannondales I never ran into this.My point is just this, if you are in the market for a high-end bike and need to travel a great distance to get to a dealer, head in a direction away from Epic Cycles. As a short aside, the associate I IMed on Facebook yesterday sent a message just after I got home asking if I had had a chance to make it in . I replied that I did and will never return to the shop. He/she never responded. I could only guess they either werent surprised by my reaction or didnt care. Speaks volumes.

As a newbie starting Triathlons, I stopped by their shop based on convenience. I had a terrible bike at the time (didnt realize how bad). Im sure some bike shops would have almost laughed me out of the store, but these guys were very friendly and professional. They encouraged me to consider upgrading my bike, but understood that I was just getting started and wasnt ready to commit to the high price of a good bike. Flash forward to me completing and Ironman, and reflecting on all the good advice they gave me on my journey and the way they never sold me something I didnt need, I have come to the realization that these are people that you can trust and who are dedicated to their craft. It seemed like each time they gave me advice or suggested a way I could improve my ride, they were right on each time. If you are just starting out or a seasoned competitor, you simply cant go wrong stopping by this shop.

I was having a drink (bought from their coffee shop), on the terrace next to my bicycle, and in a hurry to continue riding. I was standing and drinking. The employee told me I cannot have my bike on the terrace. Do note that there was no soul on the terrace, nobody. So rude, not customer oriented.

Would give it zero stars if possible. Was REALLY taken back by the service and interaction with owner Roman. Was upbeat and excited walking in with the looks of the store. Simply needed help getting a tire on as I didn’t want to pinch flat using a tool. After getting some nasty remarks about my race wheels and the brand he reluctantly took my wheel to only critique more before saying I can leave it with him and he can look at it later. I immediately took it back and walked out. Went to the Trek shop and they instantly helped and took them all of 5 SECONDS! Then asked what PSI I ran them at. That’s how it should have been with Epic. With a person like that running this shop I can’t see it lasting long! Don’t spend you time or money here to support a person like that! Not what a bike shop should represent! No one was in the shop when I went in too and hope it stays that way

I have gone twice and within the operation hours, but they were close both times. I cant get there before 5pm because of work so I made it twice at 5:10pm and they have already closed the store even with the sign and online saying that they close at 5:30pm. I was looking for an upgrade and since I am new to Clermont I wanted to give a try to this store. Well forget about my business!

This place is terrible, they are rude, not cyclist friendly, forced to leave your $4000 bike outside in a very EMPTY parking lot, I wouldnt leave my wallet with a $20 in it outside, they gave me a nasty attitude because I Carried my bike inside with me... if my bike isnt welcomed then I am not welcomed...🤔must be why the store was so empty, no one goes there because its not cyclist friendly. I give them another year or 2 to find themselves deeply in dept because no one goes there and file for chapter 13.

Was 200+ miles in to Huracan 300x mtb 350 mile run thru middle of state. Had major bike failure that would have stopped me from finishing. Showed up to shop minutes before closing. Steve/Steven literally helped me repair bike in parking lot. Was able to finish race - wouldn’t have been possible without the extra effort and experience. Many thanks!

Epic Cycles in Clermont as well as their Recovery Lounge and The Energy Lab age are amazing. Where else can you go to grab anything you need for the bike and grab almost any kind of cafe drink made by the best Baristas in town. Nothing but great things to say about the shop and the staff. Steve the mechanic is awesome and works on all our bikes, and Roman the shops owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. If your looking for a big box shop, go somewhere else. If your looking for an awesome experience look no further than Epic.

Buy somewhere else. This shop owner does not care and is horribly rude if you’re not interested in buying a VERY expensive bike. Also, Kids and wife’s not welcome apparently... Jerks(If you just look at the owners snobby and condescending reply’s to all the reviews here you’ll clearly see what I am talking about)I’ve never experienced a more condescending staff and owner... the lack of simple common courtesy was truly an experience I’ve never had.I’ve always wanted to stop in this place, but never really had a need. Today, I decided to ride to the coffee bar they have attached (* which apart from the bike shop is phenomenal ) to meet a friend and see if they had the ability to order a custom wheel set, tires for my stand up land board and look at bike options for my wife and kids who all desperately need an upgrade. After my coffee, I did a bit of browsing without as much of a hello from the owner and staff member, who all but looked at me as if I was going to steal something. They have an awesome display of super high end accessories and bicycles. Mainly competition level equipment.I finally asked if they had a catalog or any suggestions on beginner bikes for my wife. The owner just shook his head no and not speaking it appeared not. So I asked about kids bikes or something that would fit them... same shaking his head no with out a word looking directly at me.Lastly I needed a new set of wheels and tires for my land board that takes 12” bicycle wheels. I asked if they had a new wheel set or tires that would fit or that we could custom order... and the same condescending head shake without uttering a word.I said ok, walked away and went back to the coffee shop to exit. I asked the coffee barista if they had the name of the owner so I could offer a suggestion about the staff... he pointed at the same man I was talking to and said, that was the owner.I am stunned that this place is still in business or that any shop owner with that such an attitude toward Clermont residents, local trail riders and waterfront patrons. Maybe I’m not the triathlon clientele they are looking for or sell to, but no reason to treat people with such disrespect.Side Note:The Coffee is fantastic and some of the best I’ve had in the area... but I won’t be going back for it due to the Bike Store owners attitude.

Broke out my dads 1981 Raleigh road bike to take out on Clermonts bike path and 2 miles in my ride my shifter cables loosened up to where I only had one speed. I found epic cycles on the trail and asked if they could simply tighten my cables so i could finish my ride and they just blew me off. Told me they were way to busy to help, just to come back and drop the bike off. It only takes two minutes to tighten the cables. Im very disappointed in unprofessionalism of this shop. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and you blew it. I will be going to Clermont bike shop to buy my new road bike.
