I have gone to this comic shop since when it opened and I think I can honestly say it is my favorite comic shop. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and will offer book recommendations if you ask. Some other cool features are their valuable issues wall, recent back issue bins, and huge selection of comics from the 50’s-present. I recommend this store to anyone who is visiting Cleveland looking for great comics! Thank you Imaginary Worlds!

Imaginary worlds is a great comic shop. Unfortunately thay will be closing their doors sometime in November. I would recommend going in at least once prior to their doors being closed for the last time. Plenty of good deals and great people on staff.

This is the second time Ive gone in there. both times horrible service. the first time the clerk was having a whole conversation with his buddy and never asked if I needed help. today I went in there and I browsed a little while I was finishing up a work call. when I was finished with my call again noone greeted me. So then I went to the counter and asked if they had a particular graphic novel. the clerk (the same one from before was glued to his cell phone playing a game and never looked up from his game to tell me they were sold out. and then the other clerk said that there might be one in the half price bins. He kind of pointed me there but again no real assistance. This place is is right around the corner from me and Id love to patronize it but Ive never had a good experience there.How about you greet your customers? Engage with them? Find out what they want? If you dont have it suggest something by the same writers or artists? Just disappointed.

They dont always get the books on time (hardly ever actually, the norm around here is a week, two weeks, maybe even three weeks late. Having a pull list is probably recommended if youre a regular buyer, which Im not) but they carry a lot of independent and small press stuff that other stores typically wouldnt. Plus theres a lot of back issues, trade paperbacks, and other collectibles.

A really great shop. I went for the first time the other day and was thoroughly pleased. Great selection of comics and collectibles at great prices. Will return!

Great place to go for your weekly comics. Very professional, and extremely helpful if you have any issues or want to place any orders. Im moving soon, and Im really gonna miss thos spot.

Good selection of back issues and $1 comics. You might not find exactly what youre looking for, but youll find something to enjoy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Let me start by saying the employees were always very helpful and friendly my low rating is in no way a reflection of them.Why im giving this place 2 stars is because they always get their comics in late, they never have comics in the day theyre supposed to be in. Comics come out every Wednesday, i would go there on a Saturday and they still wouldnt have the shipment in. At one point i tried going there 3 weeks in a row and they still hadnt received any of their shipments, 3 weeks worth of comics they never received! I hope in the future they get their shipping situation worked out cause as a collector it was absolutely unacceptable.Also heads up the parking situation here is terrible, best solution i found was to park in family dollar and walk across the street.

This place is the bomb! The owner is knowledgeable not only in comics, but also in running the business and making sure people get what they are looking for. I love taking my daughter here as they have a nice kids section that she enjoys.

Imaginary worlds is the best comic book store in Cleveland! Great selection of current and back issues, need some small press comic you cant find anywhere else? They prob.have it. Want to do some crate(or longbox) digging ? They have boxes on boxes. Not to mention, an unmatched, 20 percent off trades and graphic novels. The only downside:no restroom; you have to go across the street and use the restroom at melt.

Cool little shop. I just stopped in for one comic book. Employee was helpful. I found what I was looking for quickly. No complaints.

Great place, they always fun to stop in, they also will do the extra to help you find what your looking for. Great selection of new comics, old comics, rare comics, and even variants. I highly recommend going here. Oh they even have collectibles & toys. If you stop in and read this review let them know their Hungarian buddy sent you lol...

Ive been here three times and each has been better than the last. The owner/guy at the register is so incredibly nice and friendly. Plus their selection is great.

Beautiful store. Well lit. Well stocked. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. This is a great place to buy books. If youre on the east side of Cleveland and are looking for a store to buy the latest comics and graphic novels this is the place.

3 weeks in a row I have gone to get new comics on Wednesday and every week I was told they aren’t there yet. How can every other comic shop get their releases on time. Also this place is very hard to get to parking is hard to find. Also the owner is not a professional in my opinion, I say this because I heard him making fun of other local comic shops as if he was better than them despite never having releases on time.

My best friend goes there all the time and from what he tells me its a shop that has comicbooks and thats whats really important. LolSome things could be better but thats typical anywhere. The 2 guys there are very friendly and helpful. . Until they get used to you lol so Im told 😉

This place is just plain awesome. Dont know what youre looking for? Thats cool, these guys are living comic encyclopedias. Dont have a lot of money to spend? Thats cool, they have 10 cent comics in the window. I was talking to the owner and we calculated how many comics he has in stock: our numbers come to about 90,000 titles, not including new titles or graphic novels.The fact that we have a place like this in Cleveland is such a blessing. I used to live in New York, and I was spoiled by the comic shops there. This place rivals and even supersedes those in NY. They dont bother too much with the tchotchkes like some places. Theyre serious about their love of comics. Stop in, bring your kids, bring your friends, and find some great comics.

Worth us going out of the way for. Extremely organized which is a massive help when youre looking for obscure back issues. The staff is awesome as well!

As a new customer no one spoke to me and the person working was more in tune to the other people that were regulars. Barely even acknowledge I was in the store. I will not be returning.

They have a large variety and collection of comics the staff is really nice but always how you imagine comic book store workers would be its always great going into there and over hearing what they are talking about whole youre search for comics

In my opinion IGW comic shop really is the best shop in town. From Heights all the way past downtown! If your on the east-side or just looking for a shop full of all sorts of comics, manga, toys,action figures, funko pops and the most AWESOME posters since old school 90s record exchange,.plus more etc.. Then go to Heights and visit 2 dudes that I call Clevelands version of the Comic-book men.. If your a rookie collector, a veteran or a mother looking to surprise the kid,.. Youll walk out feeling confident with your purchase and a smile. Support local business & screw the big wigs along with their profit only mentality..(Dont expect to see a fancy shmancy looking store though)
