I didnt know it was there, I was just walking & their sidewalk menu (Sherbet & Ice Cream) caught my eye.Its a small shop but its loaded with chocolates & more calorie laden goodies.I said I wanted to try 2 flavors & asked if 2 scoops would fit into the small cup? (I didnt see an option for cones.)She said they dont mix flavors so I chose just 1.I think their Sherbets are pre-packaged (maybe their Ice Creams too) & theyre offered in 3 sizes.Would have given 5 stars but $4 is pricey for a cup of Sherbet.And since I dont shop much, I guess its sticker shock to see candies over $30 a pound.

We wondered in here this Saturday as we were just at the stone oven grabbing some lunch(really it was around 4ish? Liner?). I really wanted some chocolate and Stone Oven didnt look like they had any chocolate croissants at the time and I remembered we passed a chocolate looking shop so we strolled on over.Had a great conversation with the owner while taking everything in. Theres a large selection. We ended up with a decent bag full of different chocolates we selected to try. It was delicious. I could tell it was home made. When you bite into something you can definitely taste the difference. I really liked the dark chocolate clusters, dark chocolate pretzels and the buckeyes were unique too.not dry. It was great, highly recommend if you are looking for some true chocolate treats. Worth the price in my opinion. We will definitely stop by in the future again.

They have such a fantastic selection of fine chocolates that make the perfect gift or after dinner treat. The quality and attention to detail are unmatched, right down to the beautiful packaging.

I just left Mitchell’s and I ordered several pieces of chocolates $43.50 to be exact . I asked for specific pieces of chocolate and when I got in the car and opened my box he had only given me three different kind of chocolates . I asked for six of one kind he gave me 12 . I didn’t get what I asked for yet I spent money on I guess what he thought I should have . Not happy. .Thank you to Mitchell’s for demonstrating good business practices in providing a partial refund. Although I would have preferred more of a variety of chocolates, those received were delicious. The response by the business provides the opportunity to give them another try. It’s refreshing to see a business respond appropriately. Much appreciated.

I was really hoping to give them 5 stars, but after my last experience, Im unable to ever support them again (and Ive been a customer for many years!) Heres my story: I made an online reservation for a shopping experience for me and my husband for my birthday. We were greeted immediately and the staff was very friendly. I wanted two boxes of hand- picked chocolates. The man didnt disclose how I was being charged or how much my box weighed, but he certainly made sure to pad the box and drive my total up. He put things I didnt ask for in, or put in more than what I asked for. To make matters worse, at the end, he filled the box with chocolate covered espresso beans and definitely charged me a higher price. Within 24 hours, I called the manager with the vague receipt and told her I thought the entire transaction was shady and uncomfortable. They acted like I mattered and told me I would be contacted in a few days to rectify the situation... but no one ever followed up with me. I am more upset now than I was when I called initially. Apparently, I dont matter and I cannot support a business that only wants me to spend more without being clear on what Im spending my money on.

When in need for thank you gifts, my favorite go-to place is Mitchell’s Fine Chocolates on Lee Road. It never disappoints

My partner and I live in Minnesota, and whenever we come to visit her family in Cleveland she always wants to come here. I went in with her today for the first time and was astounded and delighted by the beautiful selection of chocolates and candies. The owner was amazing to talk to and he treated us to a wonderful conversation about the shops 80 year history and his favorite things to make. If you get the chance, try the marzipan. Really. Everything we bought there was absolutely delicious and my partner and I are nearly torturing ourselves trying to make sure the box we bought survives long enough to bring back to Minnesota ;)

I love shopping local but I just had an experience that has left me baffled. I was at Mitchell’s chocolates trying to buy chocolates for some work peeps at Heights and the owner would not sell to me?!? I wanted 6 boxes and they had way more than 6 boxes available. The owner stated that if I wanted that many boxes I would have to put in an order or come back later. Neither which were options for me. Seriously??? This was never a problem in the past! Why couldn’t I just buy the boxes that were available? This was never a problem in the past? You had more than 6 boxes available and plenty of larger boxes. Oh well, Malley’s chocolates here I come! Mitchell’s Chocolate you lame!In response to your response: Again, you HAD the boxes PLUS more available, you just refused to sell them to me. I have purchased chocolates from Mitchell’s for several years. The change of ownership has stopped this tradition. Very sad because again, I support local.

The ice cream is to DIE FOR! Very very rich and a great value for the amount offered. Perfect little break for my partner and I as we were walking through the neighborhood.The chocolate and sweets selection is very expansive and reasonably priced. It’s nice to see independent shops like this continuing to survive as the modern age has either killed so many or forced them to grow into something more generic - I’m looking at you, Malleys...Looking forward to visiting here again soon as I now live around the corner

We love this place! A customer for 40 years. The dark chocolate is incredible and dairy free! I ship gifts to my customers in Europe. The salted dark chocolate sourdough pretzels are the bomb!

Ive wandered a good chunk of the planet at this point, but when it comes down to brass tacks, Mitchells wins hands down.The new owners have done a fine job keeping the spirit alive and the standards high. A must stop anytime that I make it to Cleveland.

Carefully check what you are being charged. As I was paying for a box of chocolates he asked if my kids would like a special treat. I assumed that would be a free small bite, however he added the cost of these onto our bill! It was dishonest, cheap and left me feeling angry. We have been loyal patrons for years, well before this new owner took over. A big thumbs down that this local shop would sink to these tactics.

I recently ordered two one pound boxes of dark chocolate almond bark. My family and I had enjoyed this product for many years, so much so that I ordered this chocolate —even though I live in NYC, the home of marvelous chocolate—to be sent to me long distance for Christmas presents. Recently the owners of Mitchells Fine Chocolates had changed, but the person who took my order assured me the recipe for the dark chocolate almond bark had not changed. However, the chocolate that arrived from Mitchells was mediocre at best, and mediocre would be a euphemism. After tasting a piece from one box, I determined I could not give it away except to the building staff as chocolate that was substandard but still might be appreciated if no other snack was available on late night shifts. I opened the second box last night and had three friends taste it. The verdict: tastes like Hersheys ; another person said: is this even dark chocolate? it has no richness or flavor—its just sugary; my third guest said: the almonds are stale. So I am about to throw the second box of fine chocolates away. Each box was something like 34 dollars, and of course there was shipping. My recommendation: give Mitchells Fine Chocolates a miss, and you wont be disappointed.

Mitchell’s is my go to spot for everything chocolate. The staff are passionate about what they do and are always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for high quality, delicious chocolates!
