My mom and myself went to the Clifton location this week and were treated by Dr Golz who was beyond wonderful! It was been a while since my mom had been to the eye doctor and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure she understood everything and felt comfortable. The office was easy to locate and very clean. The experience in it’s entirety was excellent!

The front desk staff was really nice and Brittney helped my mom who was very nervous for her exam. She was really patient and sweet. Dr. Goldz was helpful and explained everything to my mom who has a hard time hearing. Thank you to this office.

The team was detailed, thorough, and professional. I would highly recommend Short Hills Ophthalmology for any and all vision care needs!

I had an appt with Dr. Farbowitz. The woman at the desk told me I would have to pay my $20.00 copay and also the $75.00 for the refraction exam. I told the woman I would pay the $20.00 copay and could she bill me for the $75.00 because I dont get paid until Friday. She told me I would have to pay the $75.00. I told her I was billed for $75.00 on my last visit and she got very nasty to me. I walked out of the office and I called to speak with Dr. Farbowitz. Its been a week and I still have not heard from him. I will never go back to that office. The doctor did not return a call to me (I guess he doesnt care about the patients just the money he can make) and the staff is rude and nasty when you talk with them. Eileen Fox

Medicaid clients BEWARE. Office policy is to not disclose that while they may take Medicaid insurance for an eye exam, they DO NOT take Medicaid insurance to make eye glasses. You are left on your own to find a provider to make eye glasses from the prescription the ophthalmology group provides. If you as a Medicaid client want an exam AND glasses made at the same location, then AVOID this ophthalmology group.This was truly a waste of time for our family as we lost income with a day taken off of work and missed school to go to an appointment that we would not have scheduled if we were given FULL DISCLOSURE of their practice to not make glasses for Medicaid insurance plans.It feels as if this opthamology group wants to make money from Medicaid eye exams but not provide low-cost eyewear that Medicaid will cover - leaving low-income people in a bind of either outright buying expensive frames and lenses from Short Hills Opthamology Group or navigate finding a Medicaid eyewear manufacturer on their own. Short Hills Opthamology practices omission for profit that take advantage of low-income people and families.As an aside, the front office staff was very professional, polite, and helpful! Thank you for your patience and understanding of our familys frustrations.

I would normally give a great review but since they reconnected with someone else and moved and now they dont take my new insurance and they have been taking care of my cataract and my immaculate degeneration progress and I know were going through a virus here but at least they could have contacted me I called and now they dont take my new insurance so Im finished with this place and this company they wouldnt even recommend me to another office

Trying to make an appointment is awful!!!!Waiting time is even worse!!!

Horrible assistant! She was talking about me loud with the other employees because I was 10 min. late. I couldnt take it no more so i called her out. She has a bad mouth and a nasty attitude. I told the doctor about it and she agreed with her. I was shocked that she would think that was acceptable behavior for her office. Unprofessional!!!!
