Very professional and respectful. Explained things thoroughly and was able to order necessary parts quickly and effectively.

Asked to have brakes checked. Knew I needed front brakes but had them check both. They only did front because the back were good. That to me is good service. Many places would have done the back too just to make more money. To me they are trust worthy.

I wish there was a score higher than 5 stars for this place! The staff went above and beyond to fix my flat tire as I was traveling through CT for work. I don’t know much about cars and they not only educated me every step of the way but went out of their way to make sure I could travel back home safely. Thank God I found this place because when I tried to contact other auto centers in the area, they were rude and didn’t want to help at all. So thankful for Meineke and their rockstar staff! I highly recommend for any auto needs

Very disappointed. Although I had an appointment for 145pm, they didnt start on my car until 2:15pm. The oil change and tire rotation, once started, them took 35 minutes. I wish they had told me that they were running 30 minutes late, it would have provided me the opportunity to find something else to do with that time. Will I come back? Yes, but I will DEFINITELY ask next time how far behind they are and delay arriving and wasting MY time.

I called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in same day because of a cancellation. They were extremely friendly and prompt. Was only there about 20 minutes and was set to go.

The technician did not re-secure the bottom skid cover after he changed the oil on my wife’s Hyundai Tucson. My wife called me on her way to Narragansett RI for Vacation freaking out that she is hearing a loud noise under her car as she is driving. I drove out there and saw the cover had been scraping and dragging under the vehicle. I will definitely not be using them again. Just pure carelessness.

The service advisor Cassie was very knowledgeable and helpful. My vehicle was serviced promptly. The service advisor also provided a photo of a suspension part that will require service in the future, which was very helpful.The only aspect of my experience that could improve, in my opinion, is the cost of the service. I got a high mileage oil change and did not feel that the difference in cost of the oil change for conventional versus high mileage oil was justified based on the cost difference of the oils.

They were very nice and helpful as usual. I usually use them for all my car stuff since they are near my job. Only one problem and I will be bringing it by there. The hub cap on one tire looks bent and that wasn’t there before. I trust them not to rip me off with things that don’t need to be fixed they are always honest!

I have used this Meineke a number of times for oil changes and have always found the “up charges” to be a bit off putting. The advertised price never happens. There is always an additional quart charge or filter charge. The coupon mailer should be nonexistent for the fact that very few people fall into the “sale price” category.On my last visit, the punctuality was great, however I was very dissatisfied with how my vehicle was returned to me. Upon entering my truck I noticed oil smears on the paint of the driver side door and door handle. Once inside the vehicle, I found oily handprints on the interior door panel, dashboard and steering wheel. I went back in to ask the receptionist for a few wet soapy paper towels to wipe off the truck. She asked if everything was ok and I told her about the oil smudges. She apologized and gave we some wipes. The mechanic that did the work questioned me about the location of the oil marks and seemed incensed that I brought it to their attention.After I got home, I noticed additional oil smears on the hood and grill of the truck as well. This is when I discovered that some oil was also spilled on top of the engine shroud.Sloppy work! I’m not likely to return.

I went in for a front end alignment, and during the pre-inspection Meineke came out with a list of repairs totaling $2,000 including parts and labor (which, the itemized list WAS helpful because I wasn’t aware of the entire list of repairs) but after taking the list home, I found out they over-quoted the parts cost alone by over $800. While doing the work myself I also found that the rear shock absorber didn’t need to be changed like meineke said it did. They quoted me a little over $500 for parts and labor(2.20 hrs) to replace one of the front control arms, I got a new control arm for $80 and replaced it in 1.5 hours (without a floor jack and limited car repair experience) I haven’t finished all the repairs but just the fact that they so grossly over-charged me tells me that Meineke’s mission statement is to bleed the unwary dry. I wouldn’t trust them to even do a simple alignment on my car after this.

I took my car to get the air conditioner charged and i was told that it would be 45 minutes and took almost 2 hours. When the door ti the garage opened many times throughout my waiting period, i wiuod see the technician on his cell texting rather than doing what needs to be done. I was then told that.there isnt electricity going to the compressor and that they didnt know we why and that if i made another appointment they would be able to take the time to figure it out, with me paying for labor of course. I inquired if it was a fuse and i was told no and was told that if i came back they would figure it out, with being charged for thr labor, once again. I was also told that they would stop after two hours to let me know if i needed a new compressor, but they wouldnt charge me fof the reboot if i got a new compressor put in. It seems very fishy that they dont know whats wrong with the compressor but then telling me in the same sentence that i would get freon put in with no charge. I think i was being scammed considering the the person that was working on my car soent more time texting on his phone than anything else. I will not ne goinh back and i will tell everyone i know along with social media about this scam. Unreal that this type of scam continues to go on thinking that women dont know anything in retrospect, i refuse to be scammed.

Everything was great as usual except none of the workers were workers were wearing masks even though masks are supposed to be worn at all times.

From the initial phone call to Paige to picking up the car they make it as easy as possible. They are honest and thorough with their service. I recently went in to have a safety check done and my rear brakes were not good. Paige sent over photos to show me what was going on which was very helpful. Its hard to find people in this industry you can trust but I truly trust this center.

Mechanic neglected to pay attention to interlock device, resulting in a lockout. I know have to have my unit recalibrated by my provider . This is not the first time theyve done this, I use them because they are close and convenient, I will never use them again!!!

Tecnician determined that there was loose wiring connection to AC condensor, and condensor did not require replacement as was quoted by Toyota Dealership. This saved alot. Very pleased.

I would never use them again and strongly suggest anyone needing repairs seek another reputable service company. I brought my vehicle in to repair the exhaust pipe to the manifold connection and replace the exhaust donuts. Repair lasted 3 short drives. I brought it back because one the nuts loosened up and fell off leaking exhaust excessively at the connection. I drive away and within 3 miles the exhaust connection to the manifold that they supposedly just fixed again broke right off. Clearly they had broken a stud on one side and striped the threads on the other. They told me they would have to schedule another appointment for an hour plus at a cost of blah blah blah, labor plus parts etc etc.There is no way I would ever feel comfortable that they would ever have the ability to fix it properly. Bottom line I have decided to cut my loses and bring it to a reputable repair facility.Sincerely John

Had a big piece of metal in my tire. Took it to them to see if it could be patched. It could not. In a mere 3 minutes i was given options for a new set of tires and a warranty. Tires were ordered. Im always an hour late to get next day delivery so the tires came in 2 days which is usual for the pandemic. My appointment was 12:30pm and the tires were there before i was. Which is good. They said 2 hours is average for 4 tire replacement, balance and the alignment. They were done in an hour and a half. Which is the second best time ive gotten in 22 years on this service. The people here are good. Try to explain things and work in your budget. I dont trust too many shops other than sears automotive. But i have no problem bringing my ride to this shop. And im glad i do. The tires ride nice and should last longer than my old tires. Thanks for not being shady like other shops.

Needed an oil change and they were able to take me at the end of the business day. They also were able to check out some of my concerns in the short time as well and provide me with options. Manager is a nice guy and staff is very good at what they do. Building Is nice and well kept.

I went in for an oil change with a car I bought a week ago. I got the package deal and was very happy with the service they did on my car. They do a complete safety inspection on the car and then give you the results. I will always go there for my package oil change. They are honest and thorough. Cost a little more but well worth it.

Exhaust manifold blew out on ride home. Was able to get my vehicle seen right away. They were able to get parts to the store quickly and my vehicle fixed all in the span of about 3 hours. JT even gave me a ride back to my home so that I didnt have to wait at the shop the whole time. Great service, great people, and I really appreciated everything they did. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Brought my vehicle there because it pulled very hard to one side and they did an alignment but it did not fix the problem. I brought it back and they told me the tire pressure was low so put air in and sent me in my way with the car still pulling hard to one side. When I asked for a refund because the issue was not resolved they told me the work was done there’s no refund. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Very happy that I decided to try out this newer place in town. Will definitely be back. I went in because I thought my tries needed to be realigned - shaking car at high speeds and all that. They told me I had a lot of dirt still caked to my tires/undercarriage (even after I went through the car wash like twice!). They didnt charge me for the diagnostic part, only for the labor time to remove all the stubborn mud caked into my car, which was quick and reasonably priced. Great service and a nice waiting room to boot.

We were coming through the area and had an tire emergency. These folks swapped our tires, made sure we were safe and did it in a flash! They were incredibly friendly, fast and got us on our way in minutes at no charge. Thank you all very, very much!

Great job but spent $64 for oil change even after using a $15 coupon. Admittedly, was synthetic oil but Subaru doesn’t take that many quarts.

I brought my 2002 Prius in at 8 AM for a new muffler. They were able to get the parts delivered from a local distributor that morning, and had the job finished by 3 PM. They also fixed a low leak in one of the tires at no extra cost.

I scheduled my appointment for an oil change for the wrong day and when I showed up a day early, they squeezed me in. The gentleman also informed me of a 30% off coupon and was very friendly and timely. Overall a great experience.

I bring my car to Meineke each time I want to make an improvement. They redid my entire suspension including coilovers, front upper control arms(so far, lowers coming soon) and rear traction rods, toe control rods, and upper and lower control arms. Everything is like brand new on a 20 year old import. They also upgraded me with a custom exhaust that sounds exactly how I wanted. Everyone there including Kenny, Talon, Stephen, and Jason know exactly what they’re doing and get the job done well every time. All while saving me tons of money especially on some of the bigger projects. Thanks so much for all the help! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ive been hopping around places for years trying to find a good place just to get a simple oil change and was more than pleasantly surprised today by my experience at Meineke. The staff were all extremely nice and very welcoming to me and certainly made me feel comfortable talking to them! I needed my car looked at as well during the oil change for a strange sound my car was making and that was done as well. I was even taken for a test drive to help identify the issue. I will definitely be making this my go-to place for any maintenance needed on my car in the future.

The customer service is always top-notch, they honor any coupons that I present and they are very thorough with their work and give you honest with estimates for work that needs to be done.

They checked my car after it wouldnt start and said there was nothing wrong so no charge. Very nice of them not to charge, however I did break down the next day when my engine overheated, in a snow storm, with all my dogs in the car. So they missed something.

I cant say enough good things about this Meineke! This is gonna be a long post so stick around.My car can really be a P.O.S sometimes and yes I abuse it once in a while. Well today was the day it fought back. I was rushing to get my grandmothers cat to the vet when all of a sudden I see smoke coming from my hood at the stop light. I thought oh thats strange, its not cold enough to see the heat coming off the car till I realized the smoke was coming from everywhere, I freaked out called my boyfriend asked him what to do he told me to turn the car off, immediately afterwards my car notified me that it needs to be shut off. I was a half mile from the vet, Im think, yeah, no I can totally make it to the vet and deal with this b.s later... Nope. Look to my left to find my savings grace, Meineke. Having the cat in the back seat freaking out only made me freak out as I got out of my car and realized the absurd amount of smoke pouring out of the hood. I then continue to freak out and employees ran out to save the day, they took over like it was a totally normal ordeal. Turned off my car popped my hood and looked for the issue as I tried to explain I needed to get to the vet and didnt know if I could pay for, what in my mind was a lost cause of a car. They told me not to worry and took it in as I held back tears. I then forgot the cat in the back of the car in all of the commotion. The office manager was more than happy to let me keep the cat in the waiting room. In fact one of the employees Paige was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to help me feel better. She told me how much she loved cats and seeing him made her day that much better. I explained I was only trying to get to the vet that was a half mile down the road. She looks at her manager and said, Im clocking out now anyways and looked at me and said do you want a ride. 😭 You guys, she, off the clock brought me to the vet and made sure I was okey before she left. She was what we call an Earth Angel. My mother was ofcorse informed of my fiasco and brought me back to retrieve my car. Expecting to receive a huge bill for whatever had gone wrong turned out to be no charge. One of the Techs, TJ had hose available and fixed up the hose that had blown next to the antifreeze. Again I could have cried happy tears 😭. My check engine light was already on and we talked about what needs to be done next. I was honest in saying I probably wont keep the car but the fact that they went above and beyond to help me fix and prepare for the next event was so helpful.Thank you to everyone who helped me out ♥️

I went in for a tire replacement after having a flat tire. Was rudely told that I had called the wrong office (Obviously my mistake). Gentleman I spoke to was extremely impatient and pushy with me. “You obviously didn’t do your tire rotation” was what he said.I don’t know everything there is to know about automotive, but you’d think that they want to gain your trust as a customer. They’ve done work for us before that was subpar and overpriced in my honest opinion. This was the last straw.

Made a appointment today and they were on time and reasonable. Did a excellent job!@

On top of her game and looking gorgeous doin it, Paige made magic happen for me. Knowing my financial restrictions she was able to solve my issues and get me out the door within my budget(wich Im sure was no easy task). Equal credit must go to the technician, Talon, who worked on my car. He took a mess made by a different mechanic and made it right for me. Also even though I did not have too much direct interaction about my car with him, Im sure the manager TJ had a big part of making everything work for me. Meineke and other large chains get a bad rap because of high prices and snotty/rude employees, but that is the exact opposite of what you get at meineke in colchester with their current team.
