Under new management and let’s say it’s even better than before. The restaurant has a wide variety of Filipino dishes freshly made and the workers are helpful to help you choose what will satisfy your appetite at the moment. Every dish that I got that afternoon was delicious. The people are helpful and friendly. You won’t regret trying their delicious food and will be coming back for more. On Sundays they have fresh juice lechon as seen in the pictures attached.
Amazing and authentic food. Service is always wonderful and my favorite dishes are always fresh and ready to go. If it was closer I would be there at least 3 times a week. Lumpia, pancit(forgive if spelled wrong) and other favorites like piko express and beef adobo....yum!!
I almost never do a review of an establishment. To me its merely an opinion and does not reflect the outcome of everyones visit. I have been coming to this location for 30 years now since the original Fil-am. The food was great, but over the years the food quality started to deteriorate. The place became somewhat dingy. So I stopped going to really any Filipino restos. Anyways, I was taking my mom around and we became a bit hungry. We initially wanted to try to go to another resto, but we were turned away due to short on staff. So we left and decided to eat here at Fiesta Pilipino.I must say I was reluctant, but WOW, I am really glad we ate here. Food was excellent, portions were more than fair, prices are fair also. It was so good I had to get some to go. The place was very clean. I always said, you can judge a restaurant by simply going into their restrooms. It was immaculately maintained. I had the rice combo with chicken bbq and my favorite dinuguan. They had the right flavor and spice. They know what they are doing!I will surely be back with reinforcements! Thank you for the great and smiling service! I wish you all the luck! Thank you Sir Penny and Mam Jenny.
The owner of the restaurant has a very bad customer service. She took my order of lechon with my credit card information and totally let me down. I called on Friday to check on my order for Saturday. “Ready na po. Pick up niyo na”, she said. I was not happy. what if the lechon is “panis”. She even said “talagang ganun.” Delivery is one day before the event. She assured me to keep it in a box for safekeeping and pick up the next day. Lo and behold the most horrific thing happened and never in my life was so humiliated to my family and worst was to my in-laws. There was no lechon on Saturday. It was probably sold for more profit. I can never ever trust this place ever again and no one should. No apology will make it right nor make me feel better. There was nothing extended at all anyway. Wicked ownership.
This is not the same Fil-Am Colonia. This new place Fiesta Pilipino micromanage their quantity & pricing. Its almost embarrassing because you can see how they scatter your food in your plate or container to appear more. Greedy! Seriously, they should be so happy to see customers walk in. Not a pleasant place to eat!
This place got a grocery in one side and selling cooked food and items in the other, good stuff and Im inexpensive
Good authentic Philippines dishes, serving whole roasted pig and roasted pork belly on weekend. Will definitely come back for more.
I used to work next door and order a piece of bbq chicken with a friend banana desert called “Turon.” I walked by and ordered 3-4 times a week. The one day I came in I hear one employee saying to another “give him the burnt one (chicken), we’re tired of this guy always coming here” in their language and as she looked at me and says “merry Christmas” with a smile. She assumes I did not understand. (This was during the holidays)Yeah. Even though I’m Filipino, raised in NJ and cannot speak the language, I still have a basic understanding on Tagalog. Sad cause that’s how they treat other Filipinos. Imagine if you were anyone else that didn’t understand the language. It’s obvious these people talk trash about the customers that come in.Also, they recycle their food. Sometimes it’s days old or they turn old food into new like fried pork into a soup.Just go to la parilla a few minutes away. Better service.
Amazing new restaurant / store!!! the new owners are absolutely great and there’s so many options. the food is so delicious and the barbecue is PHENOMENAL!!!!! highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area and need some yummy food for lunch. the staff are friendly as well.
We are trying to help Fiesta Filipino in Colonia during this pandemic by using their place in our jamming session.. the first time we paid paid $200 for the food and gave them $50 tip.. now they want more $200 food plus $75 per hour and plus tip.. naging swapang na sila sa pera they probably didn’t realized they just lost sales and customers.. We used to jam at Fiesta Grill in Jersey City for years but they only charged us for the food we ordered..
This place is greedy with money..we scheduled an event in this place and they want us to rent small place they have, which nobody using it..we agreed to pay them $75.00 for the cleaning and maintennance, but they changed it and they want us to pay 75/hr.we wanted to help them during this pandemic but looks like they dont nee hel..we are Mucisina that play in restaurants,in New York they pay us just to play music, but this place they want us to pay per hour..no way that we will go there..
Its a new cafeteria-style Filipino restaurant and grocery store where Phil-Am Colonia used to be. New owners. Now offering takeout only for usual Filipino dishes. Looking forward to visit when the restaurant will offer full menu and indoor dining.
Pork BBQ is very good.
