The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is really welcoming! You dont feel like youre walking into a doctors office, because instead of the normal white walls and hotel art, its warm and inviting. Cute building located downtown. The doctors are also friendly, make you feel comfortable, and listen well to your needs. They also have a stylish selection for glasses/sunglasses. Definitely recommend!!

Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs is the only place I’d trust with my vision. A few years ago, Dr. Bro diagnosed non-symptomatic retina tears in both of my eyes in the very early stages - it could have been vision threatening. His always friendly, competent staff then arranged for the referral I needed the very next day!Before and since then, I can depend on flexible scheduling, thorough eye examinations aided by state of the art technology, and top quality eye wear. I know that they will work with me until my glasses are exactly right.

UPDATE: The owners response to my review is the same she gave me when she refused to provide a correct prescription, and when she refused to refund my payment back to the original method. She says she wants two-way communication, but she stonewalls and demands that you submit to her dishonesty and abuse, and uses her power to deprive you of access to the care and services her company claims to provide. Read the other reviews: lots of people have reported extremely long delays in delivery, wrong prescriptions, and high pressure sales tactics.Four prescriptions in four years, wrong the first time every time. while it seems unbelievable, it is absolutely true. This year was the fourth time and I am done with them. I did not go through with the order this time. They dont share information about your prescription and order in an upfront and honest way. They hold everything close to the vest, as if you have no right to know about your own prescription that you are paying for. The doctor tells you one thing and the front office staff tell you something else. And they want you to submit all new demographic and history forms every year. Stay away.

I had an excellent experience at my eye appointment! All of the staff were helpful and efficient. They worked hard to keep all of us safe from the virus. The ladies who did my tests with the eye machines were patient with me. The doctor is always friendly and professional treating me as a person not a number. She gives me sound advice and treatment. The gal who helped me with glasses and payment was also kind and efficient. In all Im impressed with everyone who was working that day.

I have been to my fair share of eye doctors in my years as an eyeglass wearer. That’s at least, I hate to say it, forty years. What a beautiful shop they have and all of their employees are just top notch. They are incredibly helpful at picking out a pair of glasses and knowledgeable. I usually don’t post reviews, but I personally had a really bad experience here. I was told I needed glasses with prism, I asked several times during my appt what exactly was wrong with my eyes, she told me I had a “focusing issue” (wouldn’t actually name the diagnosis) and astigmatism (wouldn’t explain what that meant). I went to my online portal after to get more info and these were not mentioned anywhere, but instead it said mild myopia and a benign tumor in one of my eyes (neither mentioned to me at my appt). The note was also riddled with other inaccurate things about me and stuff she said she “educated” me on that she didn’t. I actually thought there was a mix up and I was looking at someone else’s records. After seeing the doctor she handed me off to the salesperson I was told it would be over a grand for the brand she prescribed (she didn’t mention this or I would have asked for a different option). Nobody asked me if I could afford this or not, I was just pushed immediately to start trying on glasses to get them ordered. I now know they have a payment plan, but it wasn’t mentioned to me. I couldn’t afford this so I just asked for my prescription, which they were hesitant about because “no one else will be able to fill this”, but they gave it to me. I found someone to fill it for under $100, but it was an incomplete prescription as it didn’t say which eye the prism was for. When I asked for an accurate prescription, they refused to correct it and give it to me, saying it wasn’t worth it since they kept insisting I couldn’t get it filled elsewhere anyways (I told them multiple times I found a place that would). I didn’t know at the time it’s illegal to refuse a prescription to a patient. They asked if I wanted the prescription rewritten without the prism, and I said yes since they refused me my initial one. I told them when it’s done to please let me know so they can email it or I can come pick it up. It’s been a couple of months and they never sent it and I haven’t heard from them. I was sick of calling to get this worked out, so I finally went elsewhere. This was my first eye exam in years and my first pair of glasses, and I felt very taken advantage of that nobody explained anything to me and they just tried to sell me the most expensive thing.

I told them I have a hard time reading small letters on the TV and they gave me a prescription, bought glasses and wore them all the time because they told me I needed to and now I can’t read large letters on signs while driving and still can’t read small letters unless it’s an inch in front of my face. I am happy to have another prescription I can’t use.

I was misgendered by the optometrist I saw and another staff member. When I pointed it out they blew me off. I will not be coming back or recommending this place in the future.

I had a routine eye exam at this location, and needed to replace my glasses. Dr. Little was very friendly and helpful, and I didnt have to wait very long to be brought back. When my new glasses came in, I wore them for a few days but they seemed a little off. I brought my glasses back and had them looked at. Turns out the central focus point (not sure of exact terminology) was not aligned with my eyes. I had my glasses sent back to the lab to redo them. They came back in under two weeks, worked great, and there were no extra charges!

This practice is amazing. The Doctor is very nice and gave us a lot of options in order to get my son in contacts. The front staff is very friendly and polite and that is awesome because your front staff is a persons first impression of any office. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Also their regular office hours before this pandemic are very flexible.

Dr. Bro and the entire staff are great. I switch between wearing progressive glasses or my multi-focal contact lenses. Multi-focal contacts can be tricky to get the optimum results for both close up and far away vision. Dr. bro always takes the time to really work with me to get the best possible correction. I never feel rushed when I go in their office and everyone is very professional and nice to work with. I would highly recommend their practice. And their updated historical building is cool.

Yesterday was my first time at the Eye Center of Colorado Springs and my experience was wonderful. Excellent customer service, the girls at the front desk were super friendly, and Dr. Whitney was excellent. The technology they have there is also amazing, you don’t have to have your eyes dilated anymore. I got new glasses and I can’t wait to pick them up.

I recently went in for an eye exam and was so impressed by the professionalism, cleanliness, and comfort I felt during my appointment. I love them! They have such a beautiful eye center. But I suffer from very dry eyes and they have been able to help me get over that! They also helped adjust my glasses that were messed up from where I got them. They still help adjust my glasses. They saw me when the pandemic first started and were so kind! Not one of there opticians are certified. They all make guesses when they put your scripts into your glasses. They over charge by 3 times what the retailers charge. Ask for the opticians license...they dont have one.

My family and I have been going here for years. We all have degenerative eye conditions and the optometrists here are exceptionally knowledgeable. This office has up to date equipment. Even before this pandemic, our appointments were never felt like we were being rushed so they could meet a patient quota. Theres not a lot of turnover so I know many of the staff. Its your friendly, caring neighborhood eye care center.

Super wonderful staff!My appointment was easy to schedule, and I was able to fill out all of my new patient paperwork online through their website.I was greeted as soon as I walked in, waited less than 15 minutes to be taken back to have the process started. I was thankful I didn’t have to have my eyes dilated as they have a retinal scanner (how cool is that?!) and it was a fast process.The doctor was really nice, very informative, and went over the results of the scan and took the time to explain how she interprets them, and my results as well. She took her time making sure that I got a good Rx and made good suggestions on what lenses that I needed.Lots of variety of frames that are well priced, and I was fitted for my frames quickly. I didn’t have to wait a long time for them to arrive (just under a week) and they worked with me for payments to make sure it worked with my budget.I definitely will be going here as long as I am living in Southern CO, and will refer my friends and family here. Great service and I felt like family going there.

Dr. Little has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I have suffered from extreme dry eyes and was at the point I couldn’t wear my contacts much. My eyes would be painful, extremely red and i suffered terrible cuts on my corneas, it was a constant battle. I was using lubricant drops every 2-5 minutes and drops for redness every hour. I have seen many optometrists and none have been able to help aside from changing my contacts and giving me restasis, which hasn’t worked. Taylor did all these fancy tests I’ve never heard of and has me almost all the way healed! We take so many bodily functions for granted that when something begins to malfunction it’s devastating. Dr. Little has given me my life back. You will not be disappointed coming to the Eye Care Center! This place has the most up to date technology and training with amazing staff. I can’t sing Taylor’s praises enough. I literally thank God I found this optometrist and her team.

We have been a customer with this office for many years and have had very disappointed experience recently.We order a pair of CRT lenses in December 2019 and paid full amount, they said it would take 2 weeks for them to come in and 6 weeks went by when I called them just to find out they have never been ordered. I was told still need two weeks to get the lenses as they will get it order soon!!!Update:Changed the rating up to 4.Dr. Bro has explained what happen nicely. He is very professional and treat patients very well.

This is the first time in my life that I bought prescription glasses. I have been using readers for 10 years but my far-sight vision started deteriorating, This company suggested I get progressive lenses. I didnt know what questions to ask, or what to look for in prescription, or progressive lenses. I also didnt know to price shop for cheaper frames. The customer service here was weak. I feel like they just wanted to sell me expensive glasses. They didnt inform me on what I should know, some things I ought to consider, or what the price difference is on lenses for my FIRST EVER pair of glasses. My first pair didnt work at all for what I need, so I took them back and they said to make them work better it would cost me even more. They had a buy-one-pair get the second at half price so I bought 2 pair. One with transitions for outdoors, one without for my desk work. While the prescriptions seem ok, progressive lenses DO NOT work at my desk. I feel like Im looking through a peep hole all the time. I asked if I could return the second pair and they said no. I finally negotiated getting half my money back on the second pair, but in my opinion, I paid WAY TOO MUCH for my first experience getting glasses, and I still feel like I wasnt well informed. If anyone in this office is reading this review, I suggest you spend more time consulting your clients who are experiencing glasses for the first time. Its a big and costly decision.

New customers here. Family of 9. Was hoping this center would be good for my family to go to. Simply put, they are way too pushy on sales/services. Sales are one thing; sales without my knowledge are quite another. 1st visit; 4 guys needing glasses and they have us written up at nearly $800/a guy!?!?! This is WITH my insurance and WITHOUT my knowledge. (For those keeping track, we are currently here... 4 guys X $800=$3200; or a cheap car) Today was my 2nd visit; same thing. I had to explain on 3 separate occasions to 3 different employees that a simple, basic pair of glasses is all we need. Then, when I ask about it, Im told that I am being educated. Yikes!

I absolutely loved my experience with Dr Johnson and the staff at Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs! Due to an insurance change, I had to find a new eye doctor which ended up being a blessing. My previous vision care clinic left with me questions and doubts and I was considering finding another clinic anyway. I have to say that the staff is very friendly, efficient and professional. They were all extremely helpful - even in explaining the insurance and what all was covered (and what wasnt!) - which was great since this insurance was new to us. Dr Johnson was very thorough and explained everything. She answered my questions completely and I left without any concerns about my vision - very relieving. She questioned one thing from the results of one of the tests and made sure to get new images just to be sure, which certainly helped me to trust her. I would most definitely recommend coming to this clinic. They make you feel like they truly care about your vision and also about you!

Called a week in advance gave all of my information to the person making the appointment. First question I asked was did they take my insurance. I was assured they did!!!! Came in for my 9 am appointment only to find out when they called me back to be seen that they in fact DO NOT take my insurance. Get better staff that knows what they are telling customers. Dont waste peoples time!!!!!

Dr. Bro was fantastic and examined my eyeballs very thoroughly. I greatly appreciated his diligence and patience. I did, however, have to wait a month for my contact lenses to arrive after being told it would take 5-7 business days. I ended up calling a week after my appointment wondering where my contacts were and I was told they were on back-order without an ETA. It annoyed me that I paid nearly a grand for the appointment + expensive lenses, and yet no one bothered to tell me I could be waiting a while for them. I ended up getting my lenses after almost a month.Bumped the rating up to a 4 cause the staff responded to my review promptly and with a lot of concern/empathy.

For a long time I thought my third Eye Doctor in Kansas was the most professional office Id ever attended. That is until I moved to Colorado Springs and found the Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs. Dr. Johnson is very professional and the entire office seems to be a well-knit unit, at least from the few times Ive been there. I have a very high prescription and have been told in the past that corrective laser surgery is not an option for me. However, Dr. Johnson promptly researched on my behalf and within a week let me know that there are corrective options available. I highly recommend this office.

I have been a long time patient of this office. Sadly, a minor adjustment to my glasses resulted in a less than good experience. A staff member made fun of me by the way I was explaining how they needed to be adjusted. Please close out my record, thank you.

Update: After posting my review, Mindi the office manger got back to me on making the visit more worthwhile. I had to come in again as my current contacts were no longer being produced and the first pair of replacement contacts prescribed to me would dry out my eyes. The second pair was from the same company that I had used previously, which worked much better. I will say they have excellent customer service here and the people have been very nice throughout the whole experience. Because of that I am upgrading from 3 stars to 4.The people are nice and they do a good job at testing your eyes. However, they charge double for the same service that Ive received from better optometrists and didnt even give out any extra pairs of contacts that Im used to receiving from other places. In my opinion, this place is not worth the money they charge and will therefore not be coming here again.

If I could give less that would be too much. Dr Sara is great doc but the staff is very unfriendly and very pushy. also they don not stand behind their exams and would like you to take it as is. Please dont give then your business their are many more places that really care about service in springs. It is such a shame as the new office is very nice

Dr. Bro is the best!!!! I have a little phobia with eye doctors, but he really put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. Had I not moved out of the Colorado Springs area, I would absolutely be a returning patient. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a great optometrist! I saw Dr. Bro recently to be fitted for contacts due to keratoconus. He was very knowledgeable about the condition and about the variety of lenses available for it. He made me feel at ease and comfortable during the fitting. He was very patient and I never felt rushed through the process. His support staff were encouraging and patient.

Dr. Bro is simply the best! Hes very caring and extremely smart in his field. I have a rare astigmatism, and he worked with me through several iterations to find the best solution. Ive never seen this well in my life before, and Im so thankful for his work to get me there. Thanks, Dr. Bro!

Perhaps the most succinct comment I can make about Dr. Bro is that he is the only person associated with the medical profession that I have ever actually enjoyed visiting!Another excellent and efficient appointment today, in response to what I feared could be a serious eye problem (it was not, fortunately). I was surprised to get an appointment so quickly, and as always, it is an enjoyable and pleasant undertaking visiting Dr. Bro. He takes all the time necessary to do a thorough job and explain everything in detail.(Earlier post):I was not satisfied with the eye clinic I had used in the past, as my impression was that they were more concerned with selling glasses than with the health of my eyes. Dr. Bro was recommended to me, and the difference in philosophy was obvious from the minute I walked in. Dr. Bro and his staff spent much more time with me than I had anticipated, never making me feel rushed. Dr. Bro was extremely thorough, highly professional, and taught me more about eye care and eye health in one day than I had learned in dozens of visits to other clinics. Kudos also to Mindy and her assistance with my glasses. She understood my concerns, what I wanted, and was enormously helpful. I have actually had staff at other clinics argue with me about my choices and requirements. Mindy could not have been more accommodating. This clinic is a breath of fresh air and a delight to do business with.

I have been going to see Dr. Bro since I first needed glasses in junior high. He and his staff have always been friendly and have help me find the right glasses and/or contacts for my needs. Sadly I dont have vision insurance anymore so I am unable to get my eyes checked as often as I need, but no matter what they are always willing to help! I asked if a certain, expensive practice was mandatory and the employee assisting me said, Yes, very firmly, then quietly mentioned it is highly recommended. She truly said this in a way that led me to believe it was not really optional, and I only found out afterword that it was an unnecessary expensive addition to my bill. I will never come back due to the untrustworthy and unreasonable treatment I have experienced. Ive been going to Dr. Bro for more than five years now, and not only is he and his staff highly professional, but are very friendly and personable. Dr. Bro has explained and helped me understand my conditions better than any other eye care professional Ive seen since I first began wearing eye correction more than 40 years ago.I highly recommend Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs for your next eye care visit.

It was a very positive and enjoyable appointment at Eye Care Center last Thursday, July 10. My appointment was at 3:00 PM and I was seen then, Dr. Bro is a very thorough in explaining the what each procedure entails and answered in detail a couple of my questions. Will visit the Eye Care Center again for my annual eye checkup!! The staff is also very accommodating. Thank you all!!

Dr. Bro comes across as earnest and truly interested in giving you the best eye care possible. But Im giving only 2 stars (and that feels generous) because the staff sent me out of the office with the wrong prescription! After my exam and payment, I asked for a written copy of the prescription. They printed it out and had the doctor sign it. When I got home and compared it with past written prescriptions, it didnt look right. I went back the next day and asked about it, and was told that they must have printed it before the doctor had completed my chart. Nonetheless, they had given it to me as a valid prescription! Had I not questioned it, I would have used it to buy glasses with the wrong lenses. Definitely a fail. At least they printed a new copy with the final prescription for me and it looks reasonable.Update: I had some glasses made elsewhere, and they didnt work for me. I went back and saw Dr. Bro, and he spent a lot of time checking my prescription, concluding that the glasses had not been made correctly. He was patient and thorough, and wrote out an explanation that I was able to use to get the lenses re-made at the other shop. Im waiting for the new glasses, but appreciate the time and attention from Dr. Bro, and am revising my rating of this office.

Everything about the experience spoke of professionalism and individual care. Dr. Johnson took time to explain everything about my eyes and what to look forward to in the future, and the staff was extremely friendly and took me, step-by-step, through my insurances options for contacts and lenses. After trying ridiculously hard to make an appointment with an eye doctor that was just down the street from me (it literally took me three days to reach these people, and after I finally reached them I spent almost 20 minutes waiting for the receptionist to find our insurance plan, just for her to tell me that the policy number that I was giving her was a social security number and not a policy number, which, I assured her, it was not) I finally decided to look elsewhere for an eye doctor. I immediately found the Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs online and saw that you could conveniently make an appointment online. I quickly made an appointment within 5 minutes and received a conformation email within seconds. I was also able to fill out all of my information online so that when I arrived at my appointment they could see me within minutes. Honestly, it was the fastest and most efficient eye care facility I have ever been to. My whole family has now started going there, and I am recommending them to all of my friends!

Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. I have never outright enjoyed a visit to the eye doctor, but this was a phenomenal experience. Frame selection is varied and there is something for everyone.

Doctor was very nice, but being told your glasses will take 7-10 days then end up taking a month to come in is very frustrating when headaches occur behind the eyes and one needs glasses. Wouldn’t go here if you need your glasses in a timely manner.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Bros for many years and have never had a bad experience! Any time I have had an issue with new contacts, such as the fit just didnt seem right, the staff at Eye Care Center are very quick to offer alternative brands for me to try and ensure Im happy. Any time someone I know is looking for a new optometrist, I point them straight to the doctors at Eye Care Center.

I recently saw Dr. Bro for an eye exam. I have not had once since grade school. He made me feel very comfortable and was knowledgeable and courteous. The staff was amazing. I will definitely return.
