I’ve been coming to this store for almost two years and today, I I got racially profiled today. The store is owned by a Asian couple and and they assumed I would steal because I’m black. I asked to see some wigs and was accused of taking pictures of the wig when I opened my phone and the wig was snatched away from me for no reason and I was told I would be kicked out by the Asian woman that works there even tho I told her that I wasn’t trying to take pictures of the wig and told me she would ask me to leave. I left the wig section to grab natural hair products and Her husband was following me around in the hair store watching me try to shop and I got upset and left. Do not shop here

If you are a person of color do NOT go here. They recently racially profiled my friend, who is black, accusing her of stealing and doing things that she never did. Employee stalked her throughout the store and snatched a wig from her hand. Awful service, awful establishment, awful people. Go literally anywhere else just dont go here.

They had more than what I needed in products to help me transition from locs back to naturally free. I was glad to see that they have a LOT of Cantu products. I forgot to search if they had Aphogee but Ill be sure to look next time. For the price of the products, some are cheaper than buying on Amazon as well as we l waiting for that shipping. Im saying this based on buying hair products, not the hairs. I didnt look at those prices but I do know the average in New York is 7.99 per pack. If that helps you know if the bundles are worth it. They was having a 20% sale on wigs the day Im writing this as a mental note for myself to go and look at those as well. The staff seems friendly and helpful. Sisters on the floor were helpful and I didnt feel like I was being watched like a hawk. I remember this back when it first opened more than 5 years ago and its nice to see they expanded in inventory since then to me. They also ask for you to only touch things you know youll be getting due to covid-19 so its nice to see theyre taking the extra precautions. Ill definitely be back. Very overpriced. Bad customer service

This had been my go to store for ALL my haircare needs going on at least 10 years. The staff is friendly they greet you as you enter. They dont follow you through the store. If you have a question they know the answer and take you to what you need. I have tried 2 other haircare stores and their selection all though better priced does not compare to Ebony.

Nice place nice people, always have what I want. The assistant that works there, she is amazing when I need help she definitely knows what I need, she knows her stuff!

Terrible costumer service! The guy had no idea what balayage was and told me to wait for another worker that was in the back. SO I WAITED, and waited and waited and than decided to give my money to a business that values their costumers especially in this economy .. and left .

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they didn’t have a lot of quality wavy hair. Other than that this establishment made me feel welcome, helped me tremendously, and were very knowledgeable about what they had and didn’t. I was impressed being from the springs but living in Denver I didn’t expect the great service! I did make an expensive purchase and she gracefully gave me a deal on what I was getting.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Only nice this about it is the brown girl that works for this con artist. I didn’t like the wigs so I bought a bang & pony tail, jam, lip gloss and hair band ties. I don’t like putting my hair in ponytails so I really didn’t want it other than the gloss. Mind you the first gloss I picked up was open. The gray haired adverse height Chinese man took it whipped it off after I told him “I think it’s open” & he put it back on display. I bought the stuff then went down to Beauty Depot plus where I was heading to to begin with, till my friend told me Ebony was better. I found what I was looking for which was a wig & I bought it. Literally less than 60 seconds had passed and I walked back to Ebony to return what I bought. The recipe say “No return-exchange within 7 days for wigs and chemicals”. Neither applied to me & the man refused to give me my money back saying he can give me store credit. I don’t plan on ever coming back to this store. So I left everything & kept the receipt & I informed him I’m filing a dispute with my bank. You’re going to give me my money back regardless. I DO NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Andrea is GOLD! She was SUPER HELPFUL! Additionally, Andreas knowledge and insight helped me make the right product selections. Usually beauty store personnel are surly and dismissive to customers. Andrea shows a gift for hospitality and she clearly understands how to provide friendly, excellent customer service! KEEP Andrea on staff!!!

Lacking facial products

I’ve been here a few times but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but they stereotype and treat everyone like a criminal instead of focusing on the people with money to spend. They absolutely and unnecessarily rude. Each time I didn’t get greeted or helped but instead stared at and checked out with an attitude. I watch my peers get watched instead of helped. The other reviews are totally true. It’s a money grab where they don’t respect their customers. I will never give them another dIme and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone of color go there, the selection isn’t worth it.

This place is great in that they have such a huge selection and so many products to maintain and take care of your hair. My main complaint is that most of the hair is behind the counter so you dont really know what your options are for many of the items oh, and you have to find someone in this huge store to assist you

Its a nice place they have all kinds of ethnic hair care and makeup, wings, hair pieces, and boobles for hair..

They have all the hair and supplies that you will need, on hand. Though, I just say that the crochet braid hair is priced at least $3 higher than online or other stores. However, sometimes I need, what I need. Great selection.

So very stocked, had most of what I was looking for but these two ladies who worked there were watching my every move. Honestly I dont care if you watch I dont have anything to hide but its just down right creepy and rude. Not once did any one of them ask if we needed help. Not very bad selection on Hair and things but I just really don’t like that they don’t do refunds! I lost money there because of that but as I have come to see most of the locations like this one don’t offer refunds at all. That’s really unfortunate

Like other commenter have said the staff is rude. The place is pretty well stocked. I havent really been able to find hair products for my natural hair or kids locs since I have been in Colorado Springs (6 months). So I guess I will continue to shop here until I find a better place just to spare me from having to order stuff online.

First::: If you can order online.. do that! I think the hairstores in Colorado Springs charge a bit higher because there isnt very much competition and this area doesnt have as many ebony people as other cities. Its really disappointing that expect us to be so desperate. I just purchased 3 wigs online which was equivalent to the price of 1 lace front in this store. Smh! SECOND: If you are in a hurry for a wig (maybe date night, or job interview..lol) You will find plenty in this store... I would ask that you focus on the synthetic full cap wigs over the pricier lace front wigs...but its your wallet, not mine. This store has a ton of hair care products, which is good for maintaining your natural hair and the pricing was fair for these products. The employees were very helpful and friendly. I left with one synthetic wig... $35.. I like it, but its just to get me through my orientation week at work..lol, but went straight home to place an online order for 3 lacefronts. The one I priced in store was $79 ... and the particular style and quality would have easily been $30 if I was shopping in a Texas hair store...grrr. Hmm..Since I did make a purchase maybe they do make a profit off our desperation...lol!

This store has the best pricing and the largest selection. No real help while in the store though and the cashiers are rude and unattentive at times. They require you to pay for a stocking cap to try on wigs. Quite silly and you have a minimum that you can try on before purchasing another. I cant find what they have anywhere else so dealing with the poor customer service is the only option.

New to the Colorado Spring area, so I went looking for me a local hair supply for natural hair. They did have a few things that i wanted, so i picked them up and proceed to check out. I notice that if something cost $6.95, the cashier would type in $7.95. So one time I understand but when you keep doing it, its wrong. Kept telling me there was a price increase and they did not change the tags yet. Will not be going back and will let everyone I know to watch yourself! Did not want to give any stars but what to give a BIG BOOOOO!

I was in the store today, I go there on a regular! Today the black lady’s daughter followed me around the store the entire time I was shopping!! Very unprofessional, uncomfortable, and humiliating!

Out of all the hair supply stores this one is my least favorite. I bought a pack of hair from here that was marked $139.00 and the charged me $150.00. Apparently the taxes is $10! And the same pack of hair I bought could of Been purchased online for $80 cheaper! And the black lady in the store is so rude! I walked in and she acted like the wind blew the door open. I then proceeded to the counter to ask her a question and she ignored me! Then when it was time for check out she slammed my bag on the counter! She is incredibly rude and should not work in the store!

To be honest, the staff is rude. I have notified the owner of their rude behavior and it seemed to get a little better. However, after sometime the rudeness returned. I would much rather order my items online then go in the store because of the unprofessional rude staff. When you come in to spend your money, it is nice to have a smile and appreciation that you even thought to enter their domain. Hopefully the reviews will be paid attention too.

I have been going to this store for years and for the first time I felt like I was being watched. Not a nice feeling at all. I will probably not go to this location again.

The staff is VERY rude. They follow you around as if youre going to steal something or they dont greet you at all nor offer you any type of assistance whatsoever, theres no in between. And when theyre following you around, they still havent greeted you nor offered assistance of any kind. The prices arent all that great and they dont have a very good selection. I wouldnt go back there and wouldnt recommend to anyone else that they do either.
