One of the best flower shops in town - not just for summer plants but also unusual houseplants and gifts. I’d love to just move in. It makes me feel good inside. My hibiscus blooms made me remember the time I lived in Hawaii. Aloha Summerland.

I am always greeted when I walk in, (I have been a hand-full of times at different times and days). The employees are super helpful and seem very excited about plant life. Such an positive good vibe throughout the store. They have a load of unique plants - sure to fit any budget, (more reasonable than some other locations I have been to). They also have great gifts! The outside of this store does not do it justice at all....it is amazing! I also do wish that the sign on 8th street was bigger and more eye catching. Do yourself a favor and check out this local nursery.

Sometimes I go in just to see the cats. The calico is shy and hasn’t shared her name but Marley the Grey is friendly and knowledgeable.Hey! Hot tip! Not only does this place have some amazing plants but they also roast some dang good green chiles!!Get on in this place. It is a real treasure.

Julie and Tina Faye and the rest of the group at Summerland couldnt be more helpful or friendly. I found Summerland when they were on Cheyenne Blvd and am ecstatic about the new and expanded place off of Arcturus. If they dont have what you want, they are more than happy to order it for you - pots, plants etc. I will always buy my garden needs from Summerland and highly recommend them.

We have been going to Summerland Gardens for three years. My wife likes shopping here. She always finds something to bring home and all the plants are of good quality. I love this place because they get HATCH New Mexico Green Chile every year. We LOVE the cats make every visit special we will make lots more trips here......

Awesome place with friendly service and a huge variety of plants and supplies. I was shopping for flowers for a window box and found a few great ones here. They look beautiful now after being planted and Im glad to have a local shop in the neighborhood with a very handsome cat as a bonus!

Cannot say enough about this wonderful garden spot!! Beautiful plants, ornamental sculptures, and adorable one of a kind garden art. Prices are VERY reasonable. Spotless, warm and inviting. Love Julie, the owner too, she has a mountain of knowledge. AND of course there is Marley the cat, who is Julies loving companion!! Highly recommend this magical garden dreamland!!!

Really great customer service. I am out of state shopping for my sisters birthday. What could be better than a beautiful hanging basket of flowers? I called Summerland based on online reviews, and was not disappointed. They truly cared about what I wanted, made helpful suggestions and even texted photos of several choices from which to choose. I loved this place! They have so many unique plants, my only complaint is that they didn’t have smaller sansevieria than in 10 inch pots. They were very kind and willing to show you around. Very pleased with this place, I plan on going back any time i need any plants☺️

I am so glad I found this shop. I am trying to shop small businesses right now. They have the cutest greeter who also helped me pick out my plants. The prices are very reasonable. Cheaper than I found online and I didnt have to wait on shipping. I will be back soon for more plants!

Fantastic selection of plants, dirt, fertilizer, potters. I get all of my plants and seeds from here. They have the most wonderful staff and owner, very knowledgeable and have helped me save some of my plants that werent doing so well. I will always keep coming back.

Best plant nursery in town!!

I really enjoyed my first trip to this nursery. They carry many unique plants that Ive had some issues finding other places. Among the other plants in our purchase we got a gorgeous Monstera that just sprouted its first split leaf. Summerland has without question become my preferred nursery.

This is my all-time favorite garden shop! The staff is so friendly and all of the plants and pots are beautiful! Plus...theres cats!! Its a little bit expensive, but well worth it, 10/10 would recommend!

I called ahead of time and was quoted $6 for their 2 inch carnivorous plants.I went in to buy a couple and most of the plants were dead or dying..but I got 3 anyways. I finished paying (signed the receipt and all) and the owner told me as I was ready to leave that the plants were actually $9 a piece. I proceeded to stick my card back in and pay the difference but she was rude. The only reason this place is 2 stars instead of 1 is due to the fact the employee who checked me out was extremely nice and helpful.Heads up - if youre allergic.. they also have a cat.Just go to Good Earth Garden Center instead.

Love this place! They always have unusual flowers that make my balcony garden gorgeous every year. I have always gotten the best service, advice and flowers here. For those who say they are more expensive, that may be but you are getting unusual flowers that you cant find at Home Depot and people who are master gardeners that know their stuff. I will return year after year, ladies! Love your place!

You know its always questionable when a small local business opens. Will they or will they not sustain themselves and will they be worthy of your loyalty. Summer land gardens is a beautiful mixture of professionalism and sustainability. Coupled with an incredible sense of our local environment and the ability to inform you of what will and will not succeed here. Please understand I am not a master gardener, just someone who likes to plant pretty things and cultivate and watch them grow. The owner here and her staff have helped us along the way with an amazing return policy and information specific to our personal locale. During the off season this is a great place for Xmas trees and decorations. In the fall they roast hatch chiles which are very tasty and again in the neighborhood. Thank you Summerland Gardens. Awesome selection of your standard plants and beautiful, crazy, wonderful exotics. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable sooo helpful and friendly. The prices are reasonable to down right great. I cant stop going in and leaving with some little something. If you want to be treated like a human and find some of the most healthy and vibrant plants in town then go to this place. Its well worth it even if its a bit of a drive!

This place is really nice. But they should advertise the fact that they have a cat in the store. Im severely allergic to cats and never would have gone in this store had I known. I will never be going back. Im now at the doctors office getting treatment. But its rediculous that I had to get treatment when all I wanted was to buy some flowers.

This is my favorite garden shop, by far! The selection is great, the ladies are SO knowledgable and helpful w any questions you may have, helping you figure out why a specific plant isnt growing/thriving/blooming, even if its something you bought somewhere else! I also know they make sure they only carry plants that are free of neonicatinoids (the chemical pesticides that are killing off the bees). In the winter we get our Christmas trees from them and they are the highest quality, harvested just a couple days before arriving at their store. So fresh, you can tell the difference in the amt of needle drop and the fragrance! So maybe the prices arent THE lowest, but they are certainly fair for the quality of plants you get, plus such a knowledgable, helpful staff!! They are my go-to for the bulk of my summer gardening needs every summer! Thanks, Julie!

I enjoyed this nursary, but two succulents Ive gotten from there have been infested with aphids. Be very careful if you buy from this place. Your whole garden might get infested.
