I have a number of guitars, but my first electric was a Jackson Dinky JS22. When I first bought it, I paid another ‘professional’ to set it up. But it still had string buzzing and the action was pretty high at over 2mm. I took it to Colorado Guitar Tech, thinking there wasn’t much that could be done or that it would take a long time. Wrong on BOTH counts. The guitar was quickly identified as having a number of uneven frets and needed to have them leveled. I had the guitar back in a few days with NO BUZZING and the action set at 1.75mm at low E down to 1.5mm at high E. And NO BUZZING. And the fret ends, which had been a little rough, were incredibly smooth. All for about the same money I paid before and really got nothing. If you need a good set up or have a guitar that isn’t the way you want, I highly recommend you give Colorado Guitar Tech a call. My sentimental favorite is now a great player!

I have been playing fingerstyle guitar for 10 years and no one had ever mentioned a luthier or the need for one to me. I am at the point where I am a fairly good player and was looking to make a jump in skill level. I always ran into a wall with notes that were hard to reach and press down without getting thunks or buzzes.Decided to have my guitars serviced by a luthier to lower the action and found Xavier. Had him do a full set up and lower the action on my guitars.What a difference! The playability on both guitars is outstanding. Xavier does a fantastic job at a very fair price. Definitely get your guitars set up by Xavier. It will tilt the field in your favor on your guitar journey.

I came to Colorado from L.A. a year and half ago or so and needed to find a good, reliable guitar tech/repair shop. As you can imagine, Id been spoiled by some of the top guys out there. Finding Xavier turned out to be a stroke of luck. He loves what he does and hes great at it. I had him work on a 1965 Gibson J-45 acoustic and a Frankenstein early 70s Tele Thinline and I couldnt be happier. Try him - you wont be disappointed.
