I went in store in search of an odd sized cooktop to replace one that was damaged in a small kitchen fire (another story - but thank God it’s all good). Not only did Mr. McGill do the searching but found the most beautiful glass cooktop for me. They have an expert electrician on their team that delivered and installed professionally and timely! Without a doubt I will definitely revisit them for additional upcoming appliance upgrade needs. Thank you for your above and beyond customer service and product delivery! Could not be more pleased with my experience!Came to purchase a dishwasher on Saturday after having the WORST experience with Home Depot. Spoke with David McGill in the store, who was super helpful getting information and price breakdowns on two options for us. We asked - without really expecting it could happen - if our dishwasher could be delivered and installed on Wednesday. David said he would get in touch with the installer and let us know for sure on Monday.Monday morning, I called and spoke with David, who reached out to the installer again and assured me he would have an answer soon. Within 30 minutes, he was calling to tell me the installer would be contacting me with a time for Wednesday. The installer called and gave me a window of 8:30am-10:30am.Wednesday morning at 8:45, the installer was in my house working. Got the dishwasher installed and running, and even was able - for an extra fee - to hook up our new garbage disposal (which required some rewiring and plumbing). He was done and gone within about 2 hours.We will be needing a new washer and dryer very soon, and I will DEFINITELY be returning to Jeffers McGill and requesting the same installer if at all possible. Should have gone here first, but I learned my lesson!

I order a stove that was never delivered... when I contacted them to find out what was going on, Ryan Thompson was very rude and even went as far to tell me he could give me my money back instead of fixing the problem... so I got my money back and went somewhere they cared about my business...

VERY poor customer service! Appliance was on back order which is understandable with the current state of affairs BUT that does not mean you stop answering the phone and then are rude when customers show up to the store to check on order which is over 1mth late. David Canton was extremely rude and condescending when I showed up to check on my order and the owner was in earshot and did not seem to mind how his employee was acting. Went as far as to even make rude comments to other customers in the store about my situation. DONT spend your money with these people! It is worth a little more money to get curious and timely customer service somewhere else.

We had a few hiccups with the installation and I had originally given a poor review. However, they stepped up and made everything right for us.

Put a down payment on an appliance 2 months ago and push back upon push back on date of delivery. I finally canceled it. I know there is a semiconductor shortage and that what the sales guy kept telling me but I went to Costco and bought the appliance and is being delivered today. Total time 3 days. Borderline incompetence.

I went here to purchase a washer dryer set for my daughter since they are a Brand Source store and accept the Brand Source credit card. The sales associate did not know how to process the credit card. First he said it was denied. I tried to tell him that he had to go online to process the card. I went back and again tried to get him to go online. He talked to someone and they told him to go online. Then he tried to get me a new card. I told him I have one. You need to train your sales people how to use a Brand Source card. The sales person embarrassed me when my card was declined (he was trying to use it as a regular credit card). My daughter did receive the washer and dryer.

Sir, there was no great urgency as I am not doing a major renovation. I was trying to order appliances. Both other companies immediately responded to my email asking for final prices before I placed the order. I am sorry you are unwell, but, someone from your office should have notified me. Your lack of response gave me the impression of your lack of desire to work with me. You responded to this review in 4 hours but couldn’t respond before in 2 days. Good luck to you.

This was the easiest dishwasher purchase that I ever made thanks to Ryan Thompson!!! I went in and told him the specifics of a Bosch that I wanted. He thoroughly explained each model and I made my decision. The dishwasher will be here in April! Thank you!!!

We moved back to Columbia 4 years ago and needed a new refrigerator that had to fit in an oversized space and one of the owners, David McGill, was tremendously helpful with our situation. He knew exactly which product would work and he saved us a considerable amount of money with his suggestions. Needless to say we took them and have been happy ever since. We then purchased a Bosch dishwasher soon after. I cannot recommend this place of business highly enough! They, especially David McGill who i got tot work with, give incredible customer service. This small business went above and beyond in helping us with our kitchen appliances and ultimately the overall move-in experience.It is a delayed public thank-you, but I wanted to make sure it was out there to be seen!

We found our dishwasher $300 less than Lowes, Home Depot and Best Buy. More importantly, with the current supply chain being what it is, JM was able to actually order the dishwasher. That is something the other stores were not able to do.

I ordered an appliance with scheduled delivery on 4/28 between 12-2pm. Delivery person calls me at 9:12am saying that theyre on the way. Im at work so cant make that happen. Mass confusion/miscommunication results between delivery person and the store. Appliance does not get delivered so I call around 3pm and am told to reschedule for following day between 2-4pm. Delivery person calls me at 10:45am for the same routine. What am I doing wrong here?? I cant make a doctors appointment and show up 4 hrs early...?? Beyond lost on what is going on here.FOLLOW-UP: Delivery finally made but damage to hardwood floors and door jamb. They also forgot the hardware for handles so now I have to go buy screws for them. Horrible experience with non-existent communication should be the expectation. Unreal...I think Id rather deal with Lowes or Home Depot. SMH

Great customer service all the way around! From the first phone call I could tell this was going to be a very different experience from dealing with a big box store. They delivered my new oven on time also.

Went to look at stoves, no one greeted us, no one offered to help. So we left. Regretfully I’ll have to give my business to Lowe’s. Very disappointed inJeffers-McGill

Six weeks ago my husband and I ordered a Fischer Pakel double drawer dishwasher. We were told it would take 2weeks. We have not had any communication from Jeffers mcgill. I have called 4 times. If I get a human being they can’t tell me anything. The last 2 times my call went to vm and I left a message with Mr. McGill. This seems to me very poor customer relations to leave customers hanging for over 6 weeks. What does it take to get some follow up regarding our dishwasher. Sandra Walvoord

Amazing customer service! We purchased a refrigerator for our office and it was delivered! But an hour later it stopped cooling... we called and another was one was delivered within the hour. As long time customers, we are continually satisfied with this kind of consistent service. WE WOULD NEVER SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE! Loyal customers for over 40 years!!!!

So, I am not even sure how theyve had any good reviews. I live in Colorado but have rental property in Columbia. Our renters stove broke and we needed quick replacement.I called on Friday and got a voice mail. I called twice today and was told to Call back in 30 min or leave another voice mail because all the sales reps were busy. On my 2nd call, I explained that this was my 3rd phone call and that I still hadnt gotten a call back from Friday and requested that they take my information and have someone call me back. They replied The sales reps check their voice mails all day long and that I can only leave a voice mail if I wanted them to call me. My phone calls were at 9AM (11 EST) and 9:30AM (11:30 EST). It is now 3:30PM (5:30 EST) they close in 30 min and I have yet to receive a call from the voice mail I left Friday or Today.I had to leave one star because they wouldnt let me leave 0. Well see how long before I get a call back.Update: I got a call back at 10 min before closing. Apologizing for the late call and with no concern for the fact that I had to jump through hoops to even get that phone call or concern for their poor customer service.Also looking through reviews on FB, they state that their Policy is to prioritize people in store and not care about the people who call anyways.Would still not recommend.

The experience Jeffers McGill started off fine. We are in a unusual situation with COVID shutting down things so understandably our lead times would be increased. They did a good job of getting our appliances in a timely manner. That’s about where the positives end. The range door came in broken so had to wait about a week to get a new door. Maybe not there fault, who knows. However, this caused us to not be able to have our gas company convert and hook up stove. So they said they would do it. After another week and numerous phone calls still no hook up or conversion. Finally, they get someone out there, but they don’t. hook up the gas as “they are not allowed to hook up the gas” and only did the conversion. Also, they did not deliver one of the appliances with the other so we were delayed in getting that installed. Finally, I decided to hook up myself because by this time we were tired of calling and getting employees who were clueless as to what was going on.. Long story short, they over promise and under deliver. Not the best business model for a local business.

The date of delivery has been pushed back more times than I can count. The last I was told was that the appliances I ordered would be in by November 11, 2020. I’ve tried to call for an update on the delivery of appliances for the last two days, Friday, November 13, 2020 and Saturday, November 14, 2020. No one answers the phone. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service even if COVID-19 has caused issues with inventory.

Even though this company has been in the Columbia area for decades, I am a new customer. I have been so pleased with the help I have gotten to make the best appliance decisions for me. The prices are very competitive and the sales people know their products. That is a very different experience from purchasing anywhere else. Additionally their install crews are efficient, fast and respectful of your home. It is a local company that offers the best in appliances. All in all a win-win.

I purchased a dishwasher last week and had a great experience (as much as purchasing a dishwasher can allow). The price was $200 less than Lowes and I was provided free installation as a special from Bosch to save $150 more. The dishwasher is already installed and running great. The sales associate was pleasant and I was able to customize the options to please my wife (as if that is really possible)! I have purchased an ice machine and a refrigerator in the past from them and I highly recommend you give them a try as well!

Local furniture store that is family owned. It has been around for years. Reasonable prices and they deliver and haul away the old appliance. We purchased a new clothes washer this morning and it will be here this afternoon. The old washer will be taken away. This service comes at no extra charge.

Had a refrigerator go out at a rental property on a Friday. Got a new one scheduled to be delivered on the following Monday! The bigger guys were two weeks out. Great staff, good prices, and quality customer service. What else is there to say?

I would not recommend this business to anyone. Horrible customer service. They dont return phone calls, they dont do what they are supposed to do and they do not care about the customer. One of the worst experiences I have had with a retail store.

Jeffers Mc Gill delivered the wrong washer. First problem we had with them in all these years. Jeffers Mc Gill very quickly worked to correct the problem. They sell good quality brands at competitive prices. No surcharges for delivery and hauling away old appliances.

I was having a new vent hood installed when the installer told me we needed an add on chimney part. Called around to other places and the part I needed was on back order with no date to receive.Called Jeffers McGill and they did their best to find the part I needed, 1 of their employees walking by and over heard the phone call and helped out too. If I could give more stars, I would. I had to find an ADA approved dishwasher for my office and do it quickly. I had a big vendor come out and measure, charge me $35 for it, and then never heard back about moving forward. A co-worker suggested Jeffers McGill. I called and 5 minutes later, I had a Bosch Dishwasher that was on sale, free installation, and an expected delivery/installation date for the following Monday (It was a Monday afternoon). The Installer ended up coming early on that Friday afternoon and was in and out in 10 mins! I was about to pay $1300 for a big company to take forever and install my dishwasher, and I only ended up paying $815 with Jeffers McGill. They are now my go-to for appliances and I will be sharing their name with others who are in the market!

After shopping for a washing machine here I ask myself why I ever dealt with any big box store. The prices were better and the service was amazing. Delivery and installation was included in the price and they hauled away my old washer. I cannot say enough good things about Jeffers McGill.

Excellent experience over 3 decades starting with father and sons and has carried on through today both business and personal. Always been able to work out any issues.

Use tp always deal with Jeffers McGill but not any more since the issues we have had. We completely redecorated our kitchen and got all new appliances which by the way were fine but not the right color for the change we made. First the dish washer broke twice and had to have parts replaced and had to pay service calls right after we got it. The refrigerator has been the most horrible piece of junk we have ever owned. First the ice maker broke, not once but twice. Was told there was an issue with that particular ice maker and could not be fixed. Jeffers McGill did not offer to help us in any way after spending thousands on appliances. The refrigerator is a Kitchen Aid, French Door over $2,000. We had several service calls on the defrost issue which was never fixed. It defrosts and the water stands in bottom of freezer and if we dont get it out it then melts on our hardwood floors and is ruining them. I went online after the fact and found out this is a problem with this refrigerator but we were not told this. I have chronic back problems and have to get on the floor and its very hard to dig the ice out. My husband has bruised his arm all up from doing it. After all of these issues we are now going to have to buy another refrigerator which is not fair to us at all. We had to buy a portable ice maker and this has been so upsetting with my health problems. I never wrote anything about this but am so upset and stressed from it all. I feel like Jeffers McGill should have contacted Kitchen Aid for us since we have been customers for over 40 years. They showed no concern.

Last month, I was looking for a new refrigerator and went to Jeffers McGill and found what I was looking for but could not find anyone to help me. My husband and I have bought appliances from Jeffers McGill in the past but he was always with me. A couple of the guys nodded at me but never offered any assistance. So rather than ask for my husbands assistance, I went to S&G Appliances where I got great service and the new Kitchenaid refrigerator I wanted.Today, our DCS cooktop when on the blink and since we purchased it from Jeffers McGill, I called them. The first guy I talked to was extremely helpful (amazing) but he asked me to check something for him and call him back (fatal mistake), when I called back I got another guy with an attitude indicative of previous experiences Ive had with this company. After he hung up on me....I decided you might want to know about my experiences with Jeffers McGill.
