I ordered 1 pair of shoes for online pick-up. And got charged twice for one pair of shoes. And then I got to the store and my shoes were not ready for pickup. The cashier told me to come back tomorrow because it takes a while for the order to come to their systems. The customer service inside the store was good. But never order online from shoe carnival.
By far the worst customer service experience I have ever faced. I go in last week to purchase walking shoes and the young girl Jess stares at me the entire time and not once asks me do I need assistance. I finally purchase the sneakers and another young girl at the register is just as equally rude.Fast forward, today I get off duty in uniform (police officer) and the same young girl Jess stares and not once asks if I need assistance. She then rings me up at the register and I try to refresh her memory on who I was as I was in civilian clothes previously (shouldnt matter as ALL CUSTOMERS should be treated fairly). Sadly, reading her body language (advanced survival training), she understood and played it off. I simply replied that I was glad she was in a better mood and made a mental note on how terrible her customer service was this time as well.I then go to Jimmy Jazz next door and get greeted with open arms and friendliness. Heck, I even had a talk about sports and a prayer for my safety. Ironically, I quickly returned the over priced sneakers back to Shoe Carnival and get greeted by the middle aged Asst. Manager who was extremely professional and nice. What happens next?! I see the other young lady from last week who was also rude and asked if she remembered me and of course the answer was no.In closing, I will never understand how one can work in customer service yet have none whatsoever. I should not have to be in uniform to be treated fairly!!! I mean, how can selling shoes equate to being a first responder and the stress we go through. Judging by the other comments on this platform, this is an ongoing theme with this store...very disappointing! My family and I will spread the word and never return to this establishment.

The manager and assistant manager followed me around the entire store at a distance profiling me as if I was a thief. I purchased $110 worth of merchandise & will never support this location ever again. Poor management & lack of superior customer service. Sneakers disorganized.
Had a decent selection on shoes
I found it difficult to find a variety of shoes in my large size for a fair price. Employees are task oriented but ignore customers. Overall experience very bland and disappointing for this large chain store.The lax employee dress code was surprising. I expected a much better experience at the Carnival but it lacked the customer service associated with this chain store. Perhaps Amazon has a better understanding of customer service and affordable prices and great selection of shoes my size.
Always a good shopping experience and great sales
Originally try to order pair of sneakers off the website to pickup in store for my son. So after 3 attempts decided to go to this location. Walk into store was greeted but wasnt asked if I need any assistance. Literally walk around store till I got to the kids section. There were two associates stocking shoe and playing. I finally found shoe I was looking for. So I had go find a sales associate to see if they had size 1. Good thing they was one pair left in size I needed. Checkout was a breeze and I was ask if I have a rewards card. Cleanliness of the store was superb.
Lady that greeted us was rude and seemed annoyed that we asked a question. Found what we wanted didnt have one in the right size so I ordered all of them online. Wont return to this store.
I purchased boots for my daughter for Christmas from this location but they were out of her size so they ordered them and had them shipped to the house. When they arrived at my house the sensor tag was still on the boot. I brought the boots up to the Harbison location and explained to the kid at the register that I needed the sensor removed. I explained why and brought the receipt and the box. He looked confused and then proceeded to try and do a return on the boots then asked me... Im sorry, what did you want? I said again that I needed the sensor removed so that my daughter can wear her boots. The (Im guessing) manager(?) looks over to see what he was doing so I explain to her that I they were shipped to me with the sensor on. The doesnt even look at me, does a kind of huh shrug and continues with her guest. He struggled removing the tag and then handed me the box. No one apologized for the inconvenience of me having to drive back or the fact that I had to give a gift with the alarm tag still on it! Highly dissatisfied with the service (or lack of). (This happened on January 8th around 12:15pm... If any of the upper management would like to know what staff was working)
Great selection of shoes and theres a room full of clearance items to choose from as well. I love that there are always items on sale in this store.
Im sure Mr. Taylor would do extremely well with his own store seeing the success he brings to the current store. Best regards.
Cashier was very friendly, jamming to the music. MIB was playing by Will Smith. Store was organized, employees were trying to keep up with back to school traffic, a bunch of customers leaving boxes out. Announcer was letting you know what was on sale. I was there for the BOGO 1/2 sale, and was able to use 10.00 off coupon on top of that. Only thing I wished for was more wide sizes in all the shoes. I do understand though that we were shopping during one of the busiest times of the year, so a few shoes we were interested in were out of stock in our sizes. Overall we had a good experience.
