We have been buying our meat here for 7+years. They provide consistently good quality for a fair price. Their customer service is good. They take the time to listen and will offer alternatives if they dont have what you are looking for (which is rare). They will do specialty cuts, however when they are busy you may have to wait. The bundles are a good deal and can be ordered ahead for easy pick up.

The best breakfast sausage around. Reminds me of my Grandfathers.

Wine is not my thing but this place has the best selection of meat (choice, prime, wagyu in stock on hand and available) and poultry that Ive seen in the Columbia area, I will definitely be returning

Look..If you want meat, I mean good meat, I mean fresh meat and seafood, and even venison, go here. Its that simple. The price is right, the taste is out of this world if you can cook basic meats with simple seasoning, the selection is outstanding. Seriously go here.

The prices for their meat are always on point I looooove the bundles they have for them too since we have a big family it comes in handy I dont have to buy separate items and spend more money like at the grocery. The family friendly atmosphere keeps me coming back too!

This store is a rip-off. I had been buying meat from here for few years now. The price kept in creasing every visit I make!! Still shopped there because I did not know where else to get the special kind of cut I needed for my daughter’s favorite recipe. I went there yesterday and got 4 lbs of meat!! The PRICE HAS INCREASED ‘SLOWLY’ OVER AN YEAR TO DOUBLE!! And the cut is four sizes bigger than I ever purchased there. There is a note on the box... See pictures They had an an attitude when I requested if they would do smaller cuts as before. The cashier said they do not make smaller cuts due to safety issues!Future plans: There are other stores few yards from there and the price had been good for years and they do cut any sizes for your needs. Resourse: word of mouth from a friend.Bottom line: Not planning to spend any more money in this store! Will not recommend to my friends and families.

Attempting once again to patronize this small business and the meat was spoiled. Purchased their organic turkey one year, it was the worst. The quality of meat they sell must be second best. Be careful with your purchase and watch them carefully they will try to sell you less quality for your money. The Fresh Market which is right across the street from this place. They have a better quality and much better prices. I am reading another review below and it mention culture. I have always felt this way coming into this small establishment and now I am totally convince, they are racially sickening.It is terrible that people will look at the color of your skin and treat you different. It is an awful feeling to be discriminated against.

Great quality meat. Steaks are on the expensive side since I have a family of 4 that eats for 6😉. Even though I say they are expensive you will not get this quality of meat at your local grocery store. So as my mom like to say you get what you pay for🤣. Last thing, their customer service is equal or greater than Chic Fil A.

Absolutely the best place for meat in Columbia. Period. If they dont have it they will cut it for you. Best quality around and they are much cheaper than the big box chains, especially when you consider how much better their products are. Nice people, too.

If you demand freshest foods of the highest quality this may be your location.If you are not prepared to pay the sort of prices that come with the freshest foods of the highest quality, you should probably just go across the street to the Kroger.I wish I could justify shopping there more, but the prices will keep me away for anything I can buy elsewhere. I will continue to go here for my exotic meats like crocodile and emu.

I LOVE The Old Timey Meat Market! It is clean, the prices are good and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They also have a sweet little wine selection. Highly recommend!

It was so refreshing to walk in somewhere and everyone greet you promptly and helps you find exactly what you are looking for and the staff is always so patient. Also not having to stand in those long lines like those at the big box stores is a relief when shopping. Always a great experience is what continues to keep me a loyal customer.

This location is pretty good. Nice staff. Clean store. I ordered a 6-7 pound prime rib for my Christmas dinner and it was there on time, it was well priced and the meat was perfect!

On 7 April 2018 Saturday morning at 9:35am my wife and I walked into the Ole Timey Meat Market. We were the only customers in the market. The cashier was on the phone and could not assist us. There were two or three butchers behind the meat counter that acted as if we didnt exist. Then an older woman of their culture entered behind us and the Christmas bells went off... GOOD MORNING MAAM, HOW ARE YOU TODAY? They did not extended any greetings to us, so I put the turkey wings back in the freezer and left the store. We were very offended that we did not receive any greetings. However; we want to THANK YOU because we went to Caughmans Meat N Place, a much friendlier store, customer service was EXCELLENT and we were greeted by everyone and they made us feel that they wanted our business.

These guys have some really interesting foods and they are prepackaged for easy freezing. I have been going there for months. Their pre-made soups are awesome as well. They also had bacon wrapped scallops.

This place has the best selection of meat 🍖 I have seen In the Northeast as of yet. If your looking for rabbit, duck, or steak they have it all. If you into organic meats they even has that also.

Called to check on prices of pork spare ribs. Person who answered phone was very rude. Only thing I asked was approximately how many slabs was in a 5 pound box approximately. Here response in rudest voice was its 5 pounds. Seriously I know its 5 pounds. Want be spending my cash there. By the way it was the two notch road location.

Bought my Safire Egg Grill from these folks. They could not have been more helpful. I dont buy meat for the grill from anywhere but Old Timey. If every company was run like this one there would be no problems in this country.

Im from Buffalo.N.Y.....My Mom was from NC when she came to visit she would bring us fresh sage sausages since she died been looking for them...Found them here...love them....i brought 10lbs....

My wife went into the Sandhills location and purchased $100.00 worth of meat (stuffed chicken) to be exact. They gladly took our money and bagged the meat up with the receipt. We took the meat home and refrigerated it like we normally do. BUT on this particular visit the meat spoiled and three days later when we were off we tried to return it to the location and they would not even swap the meat without a receipt eventhough the meat was wrapped up in original packaging. Also we could not return the original receipt due to the employee putting it in the bag of wet meat. So we called to try and swap some of the meat and they would not swap it out! Terrible service!! Keep that up and you will be out of business fast!! We will never buy another thing from this location! The worst thing is we have been shopping there for years and always spend at least $60-$100 each trip. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
