As new residents to the area, Ive been dying to visit the Lowes Food Village at Sandhill. Ive been receiving mailings from them announcing their grand opening, & figured Id give them a few weeks to get everything worked out prior to visiting the establishment, and this past Sunday my partner & I decided to make the journey on over there, & we enjoyed the experience very much. The Lowes Food Village at Sandhill is very nice, the moment you enter you can tell this is a new establishment, bright & shiny & clean, the market is well lit, and the isles kept neat & clean, & one noteworthy point Id like to make, the personnel very kind & attentive, & willing to point you in the direction of what your looking for, or in my case (inquiring about picking up a Lowes Food Discount Card) the kind gentleman who was unpacking some items right near the check out register, actually walked over to a vacant register area, & grabbed me a card, and explained the directions of activating it online once I get home to ensure I receive credit from the purchases I made that day, but assured me that any discounts available would be received, even if I didnt register the card until later. As this was my first time in the store, I took a good amount of time perusing the aisles to see what products were available, make mental notes of prices, & see which particular creature comforts were available at this store, that I was able to locate at other stores closer, to help me gauge how often I would likely come back to pick up, and there were a lot! :) So, for sure I plan to return to pick up some of those hard to locate, more on the gourmet side types of cuts of meat, or cheeses, or appetizers which I crave every so often, and while I would say compared to some other (closer) stores to me, where the variety isnt quite what I would like, shopping at this Lowes and making the journey over to the Village at Sandhill mall would be well worth, it, with the added benefit of a variety of other stores to shop at as well, so this would be more of a journey where I would plan to spend a few hours shopping rather than just picking up a few items, or if I were to pick up just a few items, they would be for planning a special dinner or occasion where I really desired to incorporate some quality ingredients and offer some fine dining to my guests.Really enjoyed shopping here, the other day, & very much looking forward to returning, & I would definitely recommend this Lowes Foods Village for an Amazing Shopping Experience!
Very clean, friendly staff. Great bakery and hot bar. Love their paninis and the coffee bar. Huge improvement over bi-lo but I do miss some of the bi-lo prices.
Stop in and get an amazing coffee from Lowes! Inez made my day!!! The store has better coffee than Starbucks with better prices.
Awesome store. Love the Smokehouse and beer cave! Produce was immaculate...some exotic stuff as well. Staff was as helpful and friendly as any grocery store Ive ever been in. Its a little pricier than some other options around here...but totally worth it.
Clean, friendly employees, and mostly well stocked. Nice looking store. The only things I didnt like were that a couple of items I was looking for were out of stock and items seem more expensive here...
They have perfected giving you an experience while providing everything you need in one place.
Loved this store. Great choices very clean .good prices
I was a little disappointed. The other Lowes Foods I been to are incredible. This one looks like they moved in to the old Bi-Lo and just updated the signage and painted a little. They dont have all the cool stuff the others have.Update:Thanks so much for the reply. Ive changed my review to 5 stars for your reply and what youre doing. I will be back and look forward to the ongoing renovations to the store.Update Sept 2021: I am so excited to see the wonderful result of your renovation now. The store is great, and really looks like a Lowes food store now. The place is light, bright, and clean. Easy to navigate around and a lot of fun to see all the different stations. One wish - organic food choices.
This grocery chain is unique in that they have a meat smoker in their stores. They have not opened the smoker up yet at this particular store but when they do Ill be getting different sausages and pulled pork. Good produce and bakery sections also.
Everyone Was So Kind & I Mean Everyone!! If You Asked Any Question They Were Answered Politely & If Anyone Saw You Again - They Made Sure You Were Doing Well & Didnt Need Anymore Help! Looking Forward To My Next Visit!! Thank Yall Again For The Excellent Service/Help Be Blessed
Todays shopping experience, 10/6, was great. There were no issues but still trying to navigate my way around since the remodel. Some items a little pricey, though.
Such nice, helpful, professional people! Love the way the store is laid out and smells so good! Two people were especially helpful - Thomas and Latraya.
All in all, not a bad visit except for what seemed like a fishy smell when we first walked into the store. The Forest Acres store had a smokehouse aroma everytime I visited, which is definitely nicer.
Awesome Variety. Great experience, good vibes through out the store. A little pricey 😃
Went In Last night at 730pm to grab me a salad and sub. And they told me they are closed. The sign clearly says they close at 8pm. I rushed there for absolutely no reason. The young lady said that they were closing due to Short of staff meanwhile there was about 6 ppl behind the deli cleaning.I shop here almost 3 times a week and was very excited for them to openAnd look like the lowes on Forest Drive. Im very disappointed in their customer service. To finally open the full deli menu a couple of days ago... and to already start becoming lazy totally outrageous!Ill be taking a break from Lowes until they can have their attitudes reflect their Grand opening!
Do you not know Lowes brand ice cream is the best ice cream next to homemade I love Lowes I was so proud when they got to Lowes here in South Carolina because I live in Mooresville and I was accustomed to going to Lowes food store I love the Lowes brand
Beautiful remake of the building, so many things to pick from! Good prices too!
Lot of items to choose from. Friendly cashier and efficient. Her name was Clarisa.
Very nice store! The cashier was very nice
Although under renovations it wasnt too bad to shop. Staff very friendly and eager to assist. Will be a good store when construction ends.
I am changing my review simply for one experience.- today I picked up a rotisserie chicken from here for dinner after working 13 hours I needed a quick dinner for the kids! I got home and went to start slicing the breast meat off like I always do and I hit bone -no meat I kept trying to find a spot with meat thick enough to slice and it was a no go. I have never had that happen- couldn’t even get enough meat off the top to make a small sandwich- I called the store and spoke with the manager and his name was Chris. I felt silly complaining about a rotisserie chicken but I paid for something that I couldn’t even use so I had to try to exchange it. Chris said come on in- when I got there he had a replacement on the counter waiting and the clerk behind the counter knew who I was- she said we are going to refund your money and give you a chicken for free! They did not have to do that and I told them so but she said that’s what the manager wanted to do. After a long day at work and 2 hungry kids wanting chicken I appreciate the gesture and even though I had to run out again- they made it worth it. Thanks Chris you made this tired mom’s night!
Great prices and items were easy to find. Great selection on SC based items. Only issue i had was the rotisserie chicken was not seasoned very well, very bland. But that will not stop me from shopping there in the future!
So far pretty decent they still doing renovations so the score would be higher. They are a little high like Bilo was but I like the store as it relates to merchandise. I think once it finished itll be nice still want to tey the cake thsts supposedly very good when made fresh. Nice meat dept and grocery selections.
Prices are pretty high produce was depressing save yourself some money hit up the food lion down the road. Great for beer choices.
This has always been a really great store to shop at. Even when it was Bi-Lo I would go here because of how quick I could get in and get out. Prices are great also. The meat department may need to keep more of a selection.
They are still coming together but they definitely have good prices & lots of different things to purchase.
The prices are coming down. Some good deals to be had. Didnt find the cracker barrel cheese but Kraft was cheaper.
I love shopping here mainly on Wednesday to get fresh sushi that taste amazing at a low price!
Okay, its a little confusing. What do you expect when you buy out the neighbors area and expand into it and you have to reset your area to fill the void? Ive only been to one other Lowes and it seems like they are setting up like the other. Great news for me, as I like how the other was set up. I can hardly wait until they start smoking meats.
Always a pleasure to shop there. Clean well stocked and fair prices. Some of the nicest most helpful employees anywhere.
Seemed to still be under construction. Most of their Lowes brand sausages contained msg. I was surprised to find a brand like that uses artificial flavor enhancers.
Very convenient, prices are reasonable, cant wait to see the finished renovation.
Quick in and out visit. Looks a bit industrial in there due to them renovating. But glad they are still open during the renovations.
Wayyyy too expensive and never coming here again.
In transition, the staff is young and subpar in regards to helping locate items. I love the Forest Drive location and hopefully once the store is completed, things will improve.
Great store, very clean and easy to navigate! Just wish the front end cashiers and at customer service were a little more enthusiastic. Seems like whenever asking ANYONE in Front End about anything they act like youre bothering them.
The meat prices are a lot higher than other stores.
The best grocery store in Columbia. The staff is extremely nice and always willing to help when needed!
This location used to be bi-los. They have cleaned the store and are constantly making upgrades. It was nice to see some of the staff wearing hair nets in the deli.
This is the former BI-LO grocery store. What a remodel has been done!! :) LOWES has not only a coffee bar, but, a beer bar also. The store is well lit, products easy to find, friendly employees, and overall improvements throughout. Id give the store a score of 95 out of 100 for the overall imp4
Every visit the employees are polite and helpful . I always get what I want. Thank You Great Job Team!!
Well stocked store, good customer service!
Unbelievably high priced. Yellow Tail Merlot at Krogers for 2/$12 at Lowes was $10.99 a piece. Assorted flower bouquet at Krogers was $12 at Lowes a very very similar bouquet was $20. I used to believe Publix was expensive but Lowes makes Publix blush. Tragedy is that Lowes replaced one of the most affordable grocery stores in a community that while middle class is not one likely overtime to sustain or support a Lowes
Its was cool. I wish they had some salads prepared though ..
Nice store, good selection, and decent staff
Its nice but its not as fancy as the Lowes grocery store on Forest Dr and it doesnt have the same products, such as the nice hand made soap, wine & beer bar, plush bakery and seafood case.
Love it... just too expensive on my regular person budget!
Great beer selection, but apparently no beer den in this store.UPDATE: I reached out to customer service and they indicated there will be a beer den when this store gets remodeled in 2021! Excellent!
Deli/hot food ..that whole corner are very helpful and friendly
Lowes took over from Bi-Lo a couple of months ago. I was so pleased that they kept the same layout and even retained most of the employees. Thanks!
Fast, efficient, clean, well stocked, friendly staff, not crowded at 5 PM on a Wednesday.
Was looking for Wymans Wild Maine Blueberries.
I like this store! The produce is good and not elbow to elbow with people. $ are comparable.
Cant wait to see the store after the remodel
Great big store! Clean and need to go back to see the rest!
Store has a long way to go.Its not organized well nor do they have a good variety
Nice, clean and well organized. Very high prices compared to other grocery stores in the area.
Staff is always nice and respectful
Its the closest store to home since I dont drive. I may have overlooked but the vegan selection seems so small for my vegetarian child who eats mostly vegan food. For myself I was sad to not see any sushi but was informed it should be back shortly so hopefully Ill be upgrading to 5 stars when this finally happens.
I always liked Bi-Lo, but Lowes foods is much better in their veggie and meat selection. Lowes sausages and beer are the bomb
Not sure yet. So far, nothing bad. New name throws me off. The place is clean and organize. The service is good.
Carl in the deli area was very nice and helpful
Still some construction going on inside as of 5 August 2021.
Glad to hear that there will be further renovations to make this location more like the Lowes Foods I have experienced in the past. Look forward to seeing it completed.
I cant wait until theyre finished transforming
Very clean. Friendly staff. I would have given 4 stars except that the prices were just as high and higher than when it was Bi-Los. That, and, a year since they took over, theyre still renovating.
Very clean. I especially love the fruit and bakery goods. Everyone is so very nice and polite!
Good customer. Prices kind of high.
Store is really clean and the sale on come products was really good. Still reminds me of BiLo with a lot of the prices but coupons help offset some of the costs.
Great bakery with some sugar free baked goods! Thanks Lowes!
Dont shop there TOO EXPENSIVE
Cant wait until the updates are finished
Great shopping fast and friendly staff.
I like the story of what youve done with the store and your employees I will shop there thank you for your caring about those folks.
I might give it more if it were finished. Buy right now it is very sparce and looks like the bilo that was there.
Over priced and not a great selection. Very disappointing.
Custom service here suck. The employees dont make you feel welcome. They seem like they dont want to be there. A hello goes a long way. Im just saying.
I dont know what is is about the seafood department but it reeks. Kind of pricey too.
Good selection, good sales, friendly employees, clean.
Had experience some bad meat. I will never buy meat in Lowes again.
Nice store and friendly employees
Love the place, will be nice when it looks like the rest of the lowes stores.
Beautiful store!
You always find what you need
Hard to beat a Lowes. Hopefully will be similar to Pawleys and other locations once finished.
Shelves are stocked better than Wal-Mart
Great environment neat appearance.
Still have great bargains.
Great location.
Glad Lowes Foods came to our side of town. They have items that you don’t find at the other local stores. We go there primarily for those items, but other stores for the everyday other items because they do have higher prices even with the coupons.
Not crowded and well stocked...
Great service
Ready for renovation to be finished so all departments are operating. The last several times I have been in the store,no work was being done. This has been going on for months. Get it finished!!
In transition from old Bi-Lo. Waiting for renovations are completed to judge.
Bi-LOWES....
To pricey wish bi low was back I wont be shopping there
Nice place. Great people.
Loved it!
