I scheduled to have the cellular dialer replaced and they replaced my entire working system, that we were very happy with, with an inferior system that had these big ugly sensors on the doors. I never gave my permission to replace my system. The only thing that looks like was not replaced was the cellular dialer. Still have to see if the sensors will pull the finish off the wood since they were put on with two sided tape. They will be back Tuesday.
ADT tried to charge me for a visit after customer service stated it was no cost. The tech blamed customer service and his manager. I have the service plan and they still wanted 120 dollars. Look elsewhere, ADT does not value their customers. There is better value and better technology out there with other companies (that also dont require a ridiculous 3 year contract).
I asked for technician. He came, and he was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. I am completely satisfied. Thank you !

I only gave 1 star because I had to. I have been trapped by this company in a horrible cycle. Buyer beware! They are obsessed with their process and not their customer.I was left by my spouse of 17 years, the house and all things in it were deemed mine by the state, however ADT refused to transfer the account to my name although I had court documents supporting that I own everything in the home and all contracts associated with it.They forced me to get a new system as a result, which was $1,000 investment. The salesman offered me payment terms on the new equipment. I signed a contract stating I would make installment payments on the equipment.For 5 months, I have been being billed for the full amount of the equipment even though I have a legal contract to show the payment terms I agreed to, ADT still resolve the issue and fix the billing. Now I have a broken CO2 detector. ADT will not schedule service for the faulty equipment because my bill is past due. I have called over 20 times, spent over 7 hours on the phone begging and pleading for help, the fire department has been at my home 9 times. If I rip the equipment off the wall, I have to pay. If I cancel, I have to pay. No one will help me or even follow up with me.Ironic that they couldnt transfer my old account to my name bc they felt that violated my contract with them but they can knowingly break their contract with me and not even acknowledge me.This is literally a nightmare!!!
Very professional and knowledgeable tech, Paul. He was considerate of my property, time, concerns and questions. Showed up when he said he would be there & took the time to answer questions & make sure I was totally satisfied with the work done. Kudos to ADT for having such excellent representatives/technicians!
Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life with a company that is supposed to be so concerned about protecting your home, Corey Taylor and Josh Roberts of Defender just sell the equipment being concerned is not their concern,everyone you talk to at corporate says something different, I have cameras that don’t see anything at night a garage door that doesn’t work this is supposed to be top of the line equipment,for ADT yes for securing the home no. ADT never again and I’m not the type of customer that gives up on getting results so this fight is going longer than 15 rounds
They have knocked on my door three days in a row, first guy was severely rude when he knocked and I told him we’re not interested, second guy I wasn’t home for, the guy who knocked today made my dog bark and it woke up my baby. If they knock again, I’m going to show them my security 👌
Dont ever sign a contract with this company. They have no compassion toward their customers.
Worst company EVER to deal with. Do not do it! They make you enter into a 3 year commitment pay a TON for their equipment and couldn’t care less if you are happy once that contract is signed. Another thing they won’t tell you up front is that you have to stay at the SAME location for 3 years. We’ve moved twice and kept ADT at both locations, paid a ton for their equipment and now want to cancel but because I didn’t stay at this house 3 years I have to pay $750 + to get out. Every time I call them they transfer you to 20 + people and the customer service is horrendous so naturally I don’t trust them in the case of emergency but they couldn’t care less. AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY!!!
They play on peoples fears and try to think of everything they can when it comes to making up charges.
Initially it was like getting out of contract because of the way the dealer were handling the situation but as soon as the company itself took over it become a lovely contract to be for life considering their proactive response to issues and smooth resolution of all issues.

Worse security service ever. They never actually fix the issues you have and they just take money and never actually care about your homes safety.
My Husband called to get a quote. He talked to a man who insisted on having a technician come out despite countless attempts of telling him we couldnt afford it right now because we just moved 3 days ago. He persisted with things like gift cards and equipment that ended up not being apart of the package, told us we would cancel at any time and pushed until my husband agreed to have them come out. When they got here and the technician asked if he wanted it and we told him no the technician called Taylor his manager and Taylor started scoulding my husband asking him why he would have a technical come out if we werent interested. We work second shift so he had woken up early for this and I had gotten woken up to the argument. Completely rude and unprofessional. We will definitely not be going through ADT in the future.
Michael the install tech did a great job and would recommend him highly for anyone wanting the kind of service you could hope for these days. Mike Albert the rep did a great job too...highly recommend them both.
Never ever again! ADT sales rep Corey Taylor from Columbus made a mistake on my account and I’m being charged $1800 for it. No one is willing to help. I knew I should’ve went with another company. They keep referring me to a legal team that no one has a contact number for. This is stressful and ridiculous. I expected so much better from ADT. I Wonder how many other customers they are messing over like this!!
There are better, cheaper options. The service sold to us sounded great but when it came time to install it was not the same product. The devices couldnt be setup the way it was sold. We received a Ring doorbell instead of the ADT included doorbell but were required to pay separately to get service on it. Overall the product itself is not worth what we ended up paying. Very disappointed.
ADT is apparently not liable should anything go wrong/not work with their equipment. We are currently having to redo our entire finished basement (new carpet, woodworking, etc) because our alarm failed to go off when our basement was flooding. ADT offered to have someone come out and fix the faulty part (if there even was one) but they say our homeowners insurance is responsible for paying for any damage, not them. Infuriating that we had a false sense of protection from ADT for 6 years, only to find that we have wasted a lot of money on this company. Will not recommend ADT to anyone!!
Called ADT about getting a security system, conversation was going good although I felt like I had to interrupt at times to ask a question... at the end when I said I would like to discuss everything with my wife she got really pushy about getting a deposit from me and wouldnt listen to me when I said I wanted to talk to my wife then proceeded to lie to me. I will not do business with a company that lets their employees lie to customers.

You would think that all of the features of ADT equipment and all of the capabilities of them are cool, which they are. But it’s very hard to appreciate everything when nothing works. I purchased every single product ADT dished to me . I wouldn’t mind paying if everything worked. After having this system for not even a month 1) my indoor security cameras didn’t work for 2 weeks which I pay a lot of money for monthly, 2) In the middle of the night my whole family got woken up to the smoke alarms going off for no reason, and 3) my whole system arms itself randomly throughout the day when we’re home and sets off the alarm randomly. Keep in mind I’ve only had this system for almost a month and I’ve already experienced all of these issues. By paying over $3,000 for this system, it’s not what I bargained for.
Poor installation. Poor service since then. Can not get call backs or email answers. Sorry I went with ADT. Trouble trying to reach people I needed to talk to to resolve my problem.
Gas-lighting and fear mongering, the ADT representative was pushy and rude. To top it off, he was not wearing a mask, and made it seem like I was asking a great deal of him to put one on. The interaction made me feel sick to my stomach. We will not be using ADT.
I was sure it was just my experience but felt strongly enough to write a review only to find out many people have experienced the same rude service I did. They treat customers like they are doing them a favor. And everyone I have talked to is a whole mood!!!!!
Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They have told me for two years that they would fix the fact that my phone number comes up to another account that is not mine when I call in and of course it has not happened. Then I call to request to secure another property and they tell me I have to pay a deposit. NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY AT ALL !!! I have used ADT at several properties and I will tell you now that whatever they are saying it will be the exact opposite .They are so large that when they offend their customers OR SIMPLY CAN NOT FULFILL THEIR DUTIES they write off your dissatisfaction. Go with a smaller company where customer retention is important from the beginning not after the fact!
Do not use ADT alarm system. ADT only monitor alarms, not your system. ADT does not monitor your systems if stops working or goes down.
Single-handedly killing the rainforest. Pretty much getting a letter every day from ADT. I called them about 2 weeks after we moved in to have us removed from the mailing list and then the letters just started coming in with my name on them. Not only that, but we had a random ADT sales rep show up one day.RE: Im not sending you an email Andrew. You guys will just start spamming my inbox too.
Rep came out to my home and claimed that I should have been informed of the visit, proceeded to knock despite my No Soliciting sign. I have my own security system already installed with cloud uploading, battery backup, and redundancies... Rep insisted she was not selling something, and continued to claim that she had been provided my information as part of the home sale. This is a lie, and they likely scraped information from public records in an attempt to hawk their service. Leaving a one star review for not respecting homeowner wishes and for claiming they received my information via a known source (confirmed with all parties that no information was provided to ADT).
A salesman was extremely rude and arrogant. He shouldn’t work in there because of him the company will lose a lot if customers.
Shouldnt even get one star. Horrible customer service(?) they really do call this service. I was told they would be here @ 8am. Called at 8:15 and was told it would be between 8 and 12 noon. When I called to complain, wise guy supervisor just gave me the run-around and excuses. 4 Hr. widow is way too much. They couldnt even tell me if I was the 1st, 2nd or 5th on the schedule. Like I said, shouldnt even get one star. Service guy just left. Did a terrific job....wasnt here 15 mins and had the problem fixed. He is a former Brinks employee and it sure shows. Too bad he now has to work for ADT.
I work with an insurance agency right here in Pickerington. Each time that we request a certificate of monitoring, the ADT representatives seem totally confused and can never get the proof of monitoring to us in a timely manner. The customer service is far below expectation and the level of unprofessionalism is shocking.
ADT needs to protect its customers from BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES of its authoruzed retailers (Safe Haven). We are a military family, so moving is something we are used to. We also always ask questions like if we get PCS orders, will we be allowed out of our contract without penalty? The salesman assured me we could. Here we are 1 year later. SafeHaven is REFUSING to cancel our service and wants to charge us early termination. They LIED to us to secure contract and now we are being HELD HOSTAGE in contract with HIGH CHARGE THREATS is not how you treat military members.
Truly the rudest, most inappropriate sales conversation I have ever had. He implied that without this security system, I would be murdered in my home. Does that count as a death threat? Awful...
The system is archaic and too expensive. Look elsewhere. If your home or business burns down, they will want the remainder of the contract.
I called to get a quote on home security since I recieved a promotion in the mail. After calling two tines I finally got someone who can listen to a question before being rude, The customer service is poor. It seems like they want to trap you in to a long contract.
They stole my item they was rushing out the house was telling us the wrong prices never go to ADT.
To say that the customer service is atrocious would be putting it mildly.
