Dan the Flimflam flew frequently from Portland to defend his pearl Jaba, and the rest of these misfits that operate and mascarade as a formidable trucking operation. Jaba flys the ship and at her controls and throttle are every plan of action for what to do when the ship crashes. She has a life vest for herself, the main mechanic and Mr.Flimflam, as he vouches for everything that they can muster. Signs that say do not disturb when Jaba the driver leader is eating, sleeping, yawning, working or on her days off. But she may send you information on your days off, she can and will bother you but most importantly when she wants to fire you she will absolutely fire you because flimflam is not in charge. He just travels and looks like a leader 24/7. Jaba will always get her way..and never look her in the eye. She will lie about your schedule and she can care less what you think .Sad company. Should have stayed OTR
This place is managed by their corporate in Portland who have an ANTI-DRIVER culture of contempt and disrespect for drivers. Clueless managers trying to get drivers to do 18 hours worth of stuff every day is what you’ll deal with here. Oh and how’d you like to do 4 mile long drop and hooks all day for 12 hours??? That’s what they make drivers here do. Don’t take my word for it talk to some of the drivers and find out why almost everyone they’ve hired in the last year has quit.
I worked as a driver for Market Express. Overall the company failed me as their employee. The manager Sarah failed to provide me with a consistent schedule as well as the stability needed to even get by. I am also a student part time and for weeks I communicated to my negligent manager days I would and would not be available so I could have a consistent schedule. All in all my request went disregarded for weeks which contributed to stress, I was having to come in and work nights when I was in class all day so this of course contributed to fatigued driving. Not to mention the stress of having to find a second job due to my hours being cut at market express. Despite the failures on the companies end, none of this was at all taken into account when evaluating my performance at the end. Instead of sufficing my schedule and working with me, I was simply terminated. Market express does a great job of favoring some drivers and completely neglecting and disregarding other drivers and their needs such as myself. It is unfortunate what this company did to me considering to the extent I dedicated myself as an employee. I am especially disappointed in Mike the CEO who didn’t seem to care when I explained this circumstances to him Market Express please do better and bring organization to your Denver office, stop favoring drivers over others, etc.
This used to be Westco Express and was an okay place to work. They were bought by a company in Portland that has made their drivers miserable with incompetent management. Based on how they treat drivers, should be called Misery Express.
The Denver office does a good job when they feel like it, but overall it is completely unorganized. The managers their do a terrific job of dropping the ball on things but turn around and blame/ negatively reflect that on the drivers. Also, operations really need to work on business communications. Actually need to get better about communicating in generally
