They do great work; I go to them for all of my maintenance work. Honest and informative. They share a lot of details including pictures during the inspections, which is helpful in understanding things if youre not a mechanically savvy person. I mainly deal with Amber and Thurman (I think is his name), and both are great to work with. Would recommend.

Quick service as had an RV Inspection completed. Clean and organized. Our only issue, which I failed to catch, is inspector failed to sign inspection receipt so had to get another inspection completed because was no longer in Conroe!! Could not register it without signed report....
I always take my RV here for service, and probably will again. They lost their 5 star rating with me because it took 2 months to service my unit. It seems like nothing got done until I’d call, then I’d hear about the problems they were having. Nothing would happen after that until I called again and got a fresh set of excuses. Finally I stated calling everyday and progress was finally made.On the positive side, they do good work and I’ve never had a problem with my vehicle.

I have had 2 18wheelers in this shop. Both have come back with dead batteries because the sat in there yard for way to long before they started the repair. Like 2 months to long. When I eventually got both back,they had to be sent back for same exact problems I took the in for. Almost like they did nothing but clear the codes and tell me it was fixed. I would not recommend them to anyone for heavy truck repair

They get a 5 star from me. I came in with a oil leak on my 6.4l powerstroke. They ended up finding a leak on the upper and lower oil pans and the rear main seal. Scottie (service advisor) took care of my needs throughout the process. I will be coming back. The owner even checked on me afterwards. Great service!
10/10 would recommend. My family and I recently moved here to Conroe from Houston, Texas. It’s not always the easiest finding a mechanic you can trust, and you definitely don’t want to drive all the way across town just to see your old one. I had an awesome experience with Milstead Service Center. Amber was awesome from the beginning to the end. She answered all of my questions. They also provided me a loaner car due to my car not being ready in time. Overall, great experience. Glad to know we have a mechanic we can TRUST!!

Took my 5th Wheel RV in for to repair a damaged leveling jack and floor where the slide went in and out. I had an estimate within a few days and the repairs were completed in under 3 weeks. Workmanship was excellent and their staff kept me informed of the work and my options for upgrading/replacing my linoleum floor in a timely fashion. If I had taken my trailer back to the dealer I would still be waiting for an estimate and “might” have gotten the trailer back after 3 months. I highly recommend using them!

Dont expect these guys to reply back if you apply for a job on indeed. Im a homeless vet, served as chemical warfare specialist for 6 years earning almost every hazmat certification, but when milstead posted a listing for a hazmat tech, I applied right away. I then promptly called requesting to speak to the hiring manager, never heard back. Called again a few days later, no response. Go back to Indeed yet another few days later, they had filled the position without even ever responding to my many attempts to communicate. If there level of actual service to paying customers is anything like how they treat potential applicants, veteran or civilian, then they deserve to go out of business just like many other businesses we see disappearing from our streets. Ill be sure to never recommend yall for anything, not even stopping to ask for directions.

Our family member purchased a vehicle there on yesterday. They were very aware that a tire was not functioning properly. They only put air in it when it visibly was low before we left the center. Well, not 2 hours later a flat occurred. When our son went to the trunk to try to change the tire, there was no proper tools to do it with. THIS IS INACCEPTABLE! When you purchase a car, the dealership is supposed to check everything dealing with the car especially the proper tools to change a flat. This is a safety hazard. At the time my grandchild was in the car. This could have been bad seeing that my family was stranded out there. This place was quick to take our money but did not do what is proper in business to ensure the customer has all the proper safety equipment needed in an emergency. Our son should be reimbursed for all expenses incurred related to his flat tire. It was told that the car had new tires on the back, well new tires should be put on the front as well.
My first time service visit was awesome. My gas motor home was serviced the same day as promised, I had called previous week. Milstead was very busy Monday but still completed my service as promised in reasonable time. My state inspection on Jeep was started and completed right away. Matt and Amber were great to work with. Professional, friendly service! We were stranded while traveling with our 5th wheel and they escorted us to there service center with the help of their wreckers. They were not able to complete the repairs on the same day and provided us with electric and water for the night. Wish we had a service center like this near us in Minnesota.
I had a really good experience going to Milstead. I was having lots of complications with my warranty service and Amber was doing what she could to help me out. She was very nice and helpful. Overall, great experience and I will use them again.

My recent auto-repair experience with Milstead Service Center was the best Ive ever had in my 77-years! The computer codes on my 2013 Mazda CX-9 would not clear. Thus, the car could not pass inspection. An independent repair shop AND the Mazda dealer both had assured me there was nothing wrong with the car, except that the codes would not clear. I was getting ready to donate the car when I brought it to Milstead, which is one of three emissions repair stations in the Conroe area. When I picked up the car, Scotty at the front desk was smiling. The technician had cleared the codes and inspected the car! My eternal gratitude to Scotty and the miracle man in the shop. This code clearing glitch is not an uncommon problem. Head for Milstead if it happens to you. Heck, head for Milstead no matter your problem!
Amber is absolutely wonderful. We broke down in the middle of nowhere Texas with our cat in the car after we sold our house and we’re moving from Houston to Tennessee. and had to have AAA tow our vehicle back to Conroe to Milstead’s and rent a car to get to our new house. Needless to say it was a very stressful situation. Amber has been wonderful to my husband. Her communication skills are A++++ The mechanic is honest and very diligent. We appreciate Milstead’s hard work on getting our car running again.
I had a great first time experience with Milstead Service. The staff there was great and very professional. I was treated like a person. They also did a great job doing the work I had done on my Tacoma and at a great price.I will be doing business with them in the near future and highly recommend them.
600 miles out of way in Rv, schedule appt, 2 weeks in advance, Make special arrangements, show up and find out the diesel tech does not work Mondays. had to make 911 arrangements.Why did they not tell me this!! Approved diag, told he would charge me one hour, nope,,$390 diag and still no answer as to problem. I asked for a pump to be put in. can buy for $350, markup say $550 they charged me near $1500 for the pump alone. $2300 later? 50 miles down the road, RV being towed to another shop cost..$1300.tow I feel the counter is on commission . BTW: RV ran 99% fine for 3000 miles till they worked on it. I do NOT recommend them

Young but experienced, very professional and pleasant. Very hard working!The company had to order the part for our fifth wheel and realizing we would be without a vehicle over the weekend, thoughtfully provided a car for us to use.Our experience was a very positive one and we would highly recommend Milstead!
We lost the starter in our truck late on a Friday afternoon. Amber was great! I called to see if we could be towed into their shop and she explained (understandably) that they were near closing and couldnt promise same day repair but we could absolutely be towed there and it would be looked at first thing Monday morning. We had a call by 8:30 am explaining the problem; identifying the cost and estimating finish time. The diagnostic results were emailed to us. Great service. Thank you.

$895 camper wheel bearing pack price gouge on a $299 Wheel Bearing Pack job.Thurman did not call with quote as stated prior to starting the work.The main reason I went there was a motor going out on the A/C unit. They didn’t bother to check it. Thank goodness! I replaced the motor myself in about an hour for $107.These folks charge $165 an hour and justify it by comparing themselves to known area disreputable repair facilities.
I had worked all night. I seen here on Maps that they open at 7am. The following may sound negative at first but stay with me. I get there and they are technically open but they told me mechanics dont start til 8am. When the manager heard me saying that the reason I chose to go to them was because the website said they open at 7am he told the sales man Matt to get Johnny on it. Apparently, Johnny is a mechanic that was there early. That was cool. Then Matt got on the phone to have the part I needed delivered. He explained my situation to the delivery service and asked them to put a rush on it. Again, I was impressed. Then theres Johnny. Oh Johnny man! He was obviously very experienced. It was with great pleasure that I watched him work. He never once stopped even for a fraction of a second to contemplate his next move. He worked, well mechanically . It was clear that he was mentally aware of his next move before his physical movements were ready to be made. His work was fluid - like and precise and he finished the job about 20 minutes quicker than estimated. Very impressive. Timing is very important to me and the entire team from mechanic to manager did an awesome job! Thanks yall!! 😃🤘❤️

At first service went good but then had a leak on my generator after the first time I used it after they serviced it. Said it was low on oil and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Then was paying out and they wanted $400 for looking at it.

They failed in their diagnostic. They tried to give me an estimate for a $1500 engine repair and when I took it to Ford it ended up being a $150 coolant hose. Worst part was when I went back and just requested some type of credit on their $170 diagnostic fee they refused. Just glad I didn’t have them do the $1500 repair.
I was very pleased with the service I received on my motor home. Matt was the service person that helped me and I believe that Andy was the technician. Matt spent quite a while talking with me when I made the appointment and when I brought the RV in to determine exact what I wanted done. He kept me updated during the 3 days that the service was being done. When I picked it up, both he and Andy reviewed all the service done and answered all my questions.
First time at Milstead service center, of which I dont give the best score until more visits. In dealing with businesses all around Houston Texas, that said Milstead did advise the possibility that the time would be longer than expected. Having my RV inspected and the front end aligned it only took two and one half hours for these tasks to be completed. That being said I believe they will be visited by me with either my car or RV again. After that visit I may or may not increase the stars.
The team there had a lot of work to bring the Dodge 3500 back up to service. The guys did good work and there was plenty of it. Im assuming enough for a few small details to slip through the cracks (Service warning light on low coolant came on the next day after full service)....and I had to reset the dash message telling me a brake light was out. Ill put a little coolant in it. All in, not too bad at all.

My Mustang over heated a couple times and I had a check engine light on which my code reader indicated was a CO2 sensor issue. I was looking for a new shop simply because my old one was so far away. I saw good reviews on this shop so I took it there. I will sumarize first off that the service, customer service, and workflow software are awesome and great. Pricing was bad though and unfortunately that soured me on the whole visit. I was contaced by the rep once they did diagnostics to say I needed new theremostat housing which was causing the leak and overheating, I should change out hoses though they were ok, the codes were with my alternator, and my drive belt was cracked etc. the estimate came out to over 2k. I could not do that so she said we can resolve the overheating and the alternator for 1k. I said yes to the work and they began, while waiting for the completion of the work I called around and checked prices of parts... I feel like I was over charged for the service provided, I will say that I dont feel like they horrendously over charged but if I were to of went to my old shop I feel like I could of had the same work done for a couple hundred less. Its a bummer because I loved everything else about this shop and the people, and it is so close to my home would of been good to of found a new primary shop for my four vehicles. but I cannot afford to come here in the future though if you have the money and are willing to spend it I would recommend this location. In retrospect I think part of the cost issue was they do not discount or do away with diangostic fees if the work was completed by them which most shops in Porter and New Caney do and that is where I used to go for service.

Coffee and hot chocolate from the coffee machine in the waiting room were excellent.I am reducing the stars on the survey because during the vehicle being in for service, I asked 3 times for air to be added to the passenger rear tire, and it was not.

Came in for an oil change for my Class A motorhome. Really pleased with the service and price. The staff was great. They also do full service and repairs for RVs, as any full service RV dealer. Ill be back as needed.
Let me preface my review with this: Working on a Mini Cooper isn’t the easiest job in the world and Amber was an extremely personable and friendly service advisor. Further, they have the programs to diagnose ALL makes and models. I went to them for a second opinion regarding what was wrong with my car. The mechanic discovered it wasn’t what an ‘exclusive’ BMW shop said it was and even showed me the problem. He spent a lot of knuckle busting time getting my car fixed. I tip my hat to him. That being said, they did an absolute fantastic job getting me back on the road again and even had a loaner car I could drive while they worked on it (the loaners are a ‘first come first serve’ basis).
We were super happy with our level of service and the digital contact they used to keep us informed of progress. It was easy to work with Thurman on these repairs and we will use the company again in the future.
I had some warranty work completed on a personnel lift installed by Milstead. The service was excellent as usual. They were professional and answered any concerns. The only problems were due to the personnel lift company and getting the replacement parts for the lift.
I will NOT take my SUV anywhere else. Im lucky to live in Conroe, but if I were 3+ hours away Id still come here! Amber is amazing, Matt is amazing. Theyre all super friendly, helpful and go beyond to answer questions, save you money and they dont take advantage of ANYONE. Being a female Ive had my fair share of people trying to take advantage of the fact I own a higher end vehicle but with them, I feel Im always given a great price and they make SURE to accommodate your needs any way they can. I have recommended them to many people I know and will continue to! Theyre quick, accommodating and fair! More than fair, they are helpful to every degree and Im so fortunate to have them nearby. No long wait, especially if you make an appointment. They truly hit the mark in customer service and appreciate every person who conducts buisness with them!

Thurman & the entire crew at Milstead Service Center are great to work with; the technicians & specialists are top notch. I trust their work & advice. My husband & I bring all of our vehicles here & the work is always done skillfully & completed as promised. I especially appreciate the no up or add on sales pressure here like you find at most service centers. They offer shuttle service in case you dont want to wait in their comfortable lounge area.
I have a 2018 Coachmen on a Ford Chassis and was trying to find a Ford Service Center or private shop to work on it for over a week and no one was able to, or they had a vehicle length restrictions and or a three week wait. Finally stumbled upon Milstead Service Center and they got me in and out in two days. My service advisor Amber was great in assisting me with my needs and the staff was all polite and professional. The waiting area and shop was nice and clean. Love the email update and service inspections with pictures and videos.I will have and recommend Milstead for service work.Thanks

The technician did a thorough job, made useful recommendations for priority care, and took care of me well, even to the point of letting me stay in my motorhome connected to 30 amp service overnight. The only problem (which led to a dropped star), was that I had difficulty connecting with the booking person for some additional follow up work. Sadly it may need to be done elsewhere.

I had my F-150 in this week to have them look at the brakes. The Service Advisor, Matt, was very professional and helpful. He took me to the shop, showed me the condition of the brakes, and explained exactly what they were recommending. He also is helping to determine how to repair in the most economical way another problem the truck has. The impression I’m left with after several experiences is that these guys know what they’re doing.

My truck was towed from my father in laws house without my knowledge or approval from magnolia, 18 miles. Milstead charged $255 for tow. Which is crazy. I had it towed from Houston 55 miles away, cost me $235. I called Milstead and they claimed they hadnt had a chance to look at it so we told them that we had another shop that we wanted to bring it to. I just paid the invoice. $344.00. They claimed they put diagnostics on it. Bringing our truck to OVERDRIVE.
