Great place, very friendly, very helpful!!! Reminds me of how hardware stores were before the big chain stores with no customer service took over. Well be back!!!

F & D Supply has been in business, in Copiague, for over 50 years. It is a fourth generation family owned and operated store. It is a traditional hardware store selling whozeewhats and thingamagigs. It has a large masonary yard selling bricks, sand, gravel, pavers and so on. In the winter, they get festive and sell Christmas Trees. Please support your local small businesses. They are the fabric of our neighborhoods. This store is a great example of that.

By far the best place to buy hardware, yard, garden supplies. There is ALWAYS a knowledgeable person on hand to assist.Prices are comparable to any of the bigger stores.

Ive been dealing with them for 30 plus years and its always been great . Never any problems. Theyve always been very helpful and knowledgeable. Its sad to see some of the complaints on here but these same people would complain if they hit the lottery and no i dont own or work for F&D supply

Great local old fashioned hardware store. Generally have what you need to get you through any task. Myself, my father, and my grandfather have preferred to come here when you need a part to complete just about any household task.

A well stocked neighborhood hardware store. They always seem to have exactly what I was looking for. Also, they are super helpful and the nicest people. Prices are a teeny bit higher than home depo but in my book well worth the time saved. Wandering around for ages in a huge home depo then waiting in a long line is not for me!!

I go to exchange propane and to get various things here and there. Its a family business and that makes all the difference in the world. They are there to help you, the key phrase being they are there. You dont have to run around looking for someone who works there or works in that department. They are accessable and helpful.

Always help me find exactly what I need and always have that one little part that I cannot find anywhere else. They are amazing and extremely helpful. They even explained how to do something that I was having trouble with. Just amazing

I bring them my business as much as i can they are a family and neighborhood store... i would never go to ACE.. and they are not just a hardware store they have a whole lot more..Thank you guys...

Ordered 7 yards of topsoil and it looked really nice and fresh until all the rain brought out all the rocks and pebbles in this soil. I feel like I was ripped off $200 of waste!

Ms. Carey,I apologize that you left with a unsatisfactory experience and would like to thank you for patronizing our store in the past. In response to your experience that day, you initially came into the store with a sink trap that was rotted out and we replaced it with a newer trap with the appropriate parts. You called me back regarding the credit card receipt and thanked me for my help that day and complimented our store for the help that we gave you. A few weeks later you called me back and asked me about missing pieces and asked me in a confrontational tone as to the whereabouts of your old plumbing parts and if we had recycled them. When i responded that we do not keep old plumbing parts especially waste pipe you challenged my truthfulness in a loud inappropriate manner. As you explained your problem further I asked you for a cell phone picture of the sink trap to get a better understanding and explanation of the problem and sizing of parts that would be necessary to fix it. A cell phone picture is a great tool and in todays world many customers come into the store with a picture to describe their home improvement problem. I did not think this was an offensive request. I offered to replace the pipe that you needed for no charge and when you arrived at the store I gave you the pipe as such. I offered my apologies to you as you felt unsatisfied and you accepted. In closing I would like to say that we are a family run business and have been serving the community since 1953. We pride ourselves on being courteous, knowledgeable and professional. We treat our customers like family. Our staff has at minimum over 20yrs of experience and up to 60 plus years of experience. If we dont know an answer to a question we will find out that answer. We have built a reputation in our community as being helpful and charitable. I find it unfortunate that someone would want to disparage our company and our family of employees. We have had thousands of satisfied customers in our 60 plus years and have served generations of families in the community. I have dealt with this store for the last 35 years- but only for one small thing or another (grass seed, yards of rocks, christmas trees, small drill bits, deck screws)But when I went in with an actual plumbing problem- with ALL the pipes, I left the store with the replacements, missing a crucial pipe that attached to the bottom of the sink. No problem- you would THINK. For a neighborhood store, you expect a certain degree of respect when you relay that the guy you dealt with neglected to give you ALL the pieces you needed. There were only 4 pieces! I dealt with the older guy first, and he was playing it off like it was my fault- actually asking for a picture of the set up! The second one called me back, was also a bit avante garde- but said he would replace the maybe-3-inch pipe- but actually grumbled about the coupling to screw it onto my sink!! Really?? I wouldnt MIND buying a new one- if I hadnt LEFT one at the store- that could have been re-used. I admitted I didnt know what I needed- and depended on their expertise. Well, I wont ever be doing THAT again- Ill do Home Depot- where I have NEVER had a problem. They COST alot less, too. >:(
