I asked a man at the desk in the Doors dept. if they had any interior or patio doors marked down. He stated that there were some damaged ones in the back. I saw two garage door openers on a cart, one marked down. I had to ask him the price on the other one. I then went back to examine the marked-down doors. They had no prices on them. He walked right past me and kept on going. When I asked another employee for the prices of the doors, he called, but got no answers. When I told him that the other guy had simply walked away, he replied, Hes like that. Their astonishingly bad customer service indicates that they dont want my business.
I am so impressed with Mr Benoit (the store manager), he went above and beyond to help me with an order, took the time to handle it personally and treated me with respect. I also watched how he interacted with his team and you can tell when a Manger is a good leader. He also treated them with respected and humor and resolved my concern smoothly and efficiently . In a time when service is not what it used to be, those that shine deserve to be commended . Thank you for the excellent experience .
Thank you Jill. This place is fantastic. Always very clean and the staff is so helpful. I purchased a RYOBI trimmer and the battery was broken. 2 hours of driving later, and Im back at the store hoping for an easy solution. Jill helped out so much. She tested the battery and the charger, identified the problem (the battery) and swapped out the battery, all within about 10 minutes. Thank you so much to the wonderful and helpful staff and special thanks to Jill. I was so frustrated when I arrived home just to find out about the problem and Jills helpfulness really brightened my day. Thank you.

Bought a 4X8 sheet of Styrofoam insulation which I knew would not fit inside my vehicle unless it was cut in half. Asked the first employee if I could get it cut; he pointed out a direction and told me to ask the guys I would find there to cut it for me. Found them and was told No. Thats against policy. Fine; can I use your saw? No. Thats also against policy. All you have to do is cut it with a razor or saw. I said that would be great if I had one of those on me. To which he replied We have some of those on aisle 9. I got no help whatsoever and, as a bonus, I got a smart-a** reply. What a deal!
I have always shopped home depot. I live in redding ca. We have great service from all of the staff. However, here in Charlotte it was a different story, I felt that they didnt care if I spent money in thier store. I had to ask for help multiple times. They really did not care. Sorry to say did not love the experience. The California store beat you hands down when it come to service and attitude.
The food was excellent. However the greeter was less than pleasant when we came in. They initially led us to a table that was very low and the seating was a sofa, we asked to change to a more regular table and that seemed to upset the greeter. She was quick to say that our problem was we booked online, still not sure how that was a problem. All of our other interactions with the staff were very positive.
Overall they try and do a good job. They Just need more help for customers. It should be so hard to find someone.

Hardware guy is a miserable man with a big mouth after simply asking him for a Tool off the top shelf and Pro is an absolute joke with incompetence overflowing from the staff. Havent been to a Home Depot in years and today is a prime example why. 9:00 am and all the staff are rude zombies, drink a cup of coffee or something. Place was empty with a surplus of staff that clearly dont want to work.
A very ironic visit. Every Asssociate I encountered once I entered the store greeted me with, Hello or Hi how are you? Once I entered the department I intended to visit, Flooring, I could not get any help. I looked at materials for over 1/2 hour. Neither of two Associates in Flooring even approached me, much less ask if I needed assistance. This review would have been higher if either of them had offered something to the effect of, Hello, Ill be with you after I finish helping another customer.

Went in to find some metric bolts to use for bolting a TV mount to the back of the TV. They had some boxes with metric nuts and bolts but the supply was very limited. Ultimately had to take allen head screws as it was the only size M6 they had.

3 stars is for the nice younger guy in the garden center who asked if I needed any help finding certain things. Plant selection was fair, but nothing really outstanding. Store is over crowded and hard to get through. Nancy Pelosi vibe lady at the door wasnt very welcoming, to say the least.
Home Depot is so much more organized than other hardware stores. Anything you search in their website gives you precise directions of where it is. Other hardware stores websites try to do the same but often fail to give you useful guidance. It takes a lot of work to be precise on inventory details and location of items, and Home Depot does it best.Helpful and polite staff.

Ordered a number of items online for pick-up for a built in wine-rack and butcher block countertop project. Everything showed up to the store quickly and the customer service and friendliness here was outstanding! I returned a couple of items we didnt use and it was simple and fast. Paint, wood, detail moulding, light fixtures, and more are all from Home Depot.

I asked the customer service rep to check the system for tulip bulbs. His response was look over in the flower and seed section, if there isn’t any then we don’t have none. Lowe’s customer service will check the system so the customer won’t waste their time looking for something that doesn’t exist in the store. Lazy employees in Home Depot.

First I bought a picnic table from the store. Very clearly priced for 100.00, the manager tried to make me pay 160 when I told them it was marked for 100 they made me go out and get a product number (that wasnt even out there) took forever to actually get help and the woman who did help me seemed to be the only person who cared no one was helping me..But we also got a 1200.00 storage building, we were told delivery ilwould be two weeks. Its been going on 3 months I have half the pieces for the building and not the other half. Been in the phone every day for weeks trying to sort it out but have been told things like take what you have to a store and get a refund when I explained we had it delivered because we dont have a way transport something so heavy and big I was told to figure it out. Do not do business with them. They have no desire to help once they get your money.. Ill probably have to sue them to get my product or money back at this point.
Cliff the manager on duty was great to work with on the phone and the crew was very helpful. My only item to mention is that it took some time to find someone to help me, however the sections to either side of me were busy and taking a lot of attention. Total wait for help was less than 4 minutes.
I generally shop at the other big home improvement store (Im from Mooresville NC after all), but there are some things that The Home Depot carries a better selection. And after they remodeled the local store a few years back, and made an effort to staff with knowledgeable employees, its actually a very nice experience. Definitely adding HD as a go-to place for the little more serious home improvement projects.

If I could give them no stars I would, I rented a van and was told there was a 150.00 deposit and could pay per hour if I bought the van back 8am. I ended up dropping the van off after hours due to inclement weather which is was way before the 8am cut off. I receive a phone call that I was charged not only for a full day but also for gas that was not in the van when I rented thank goodness I took a picture of the gas before I pulled off. How do you charge a full day for a van that has been sitting in your parking lot all day. When I called to be refunded they refuse unless I sent them a picture, I sent it to there email and never received a call back so I had to call, where they told me the gas would be refunded but nothing else and ended the call, I had to call the corporate office to file a complaint.
My wife and I went here for carpet we went to flooring department and were greeted by Greg, he was already helping someone so asked Mitchell to help us. Mitchell really knows his carpet, he took time with us gave us options took time to explain difference s of products very helpful people

I dont think I will go back. While the place looks clean, organized and has a variety of materials, I was not allowed to purchase a tile as a sample so I could compare it with what I have at home. There was a package that was open and had only half of them. But, just because they are sold as a package, I could not take it or purchase it. Therefore I dont know if it matches what I currently have. That lack of flexibility doesnt work.
Always found what I needed here and more so then the other hardware store right across the street a few blocks down. From washers to Christmas Trees. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and good stock.

Attempting to purchase some items related to a project at the Cornelius Home Depot has been a disaster. We have made several attempts to purchase 1/2 inch steel pipe and fittings. Purchase 1: online order and pickup at store. Travel to store. Half order was canceled without notice. When we got there we found it was only a half order. We attempted to find comparable items in store. We found a few items (fittings) but we needed a few more of that item. We asked an associate if there were any more in stock. They checked the computer to show 35 items in stock, but after roaming around for a while could never find the item. Then we asked to just order the item and have it shipped to store. After paying for it and receiving a conformation we soon got an email stating our order was canceled and a refund was forthcoming. Now that’s two refunds we are waiting for. (The canceled half order and this one). I don’t know if all of Home Depot is this incompetent or just the one in Cornelius. If you don’t have the item don’t sell it to us just to take our money for a week then tell us you don’t have it. And if you show it in inventory why don’t you have it. I will never deal with Home Depot again.

They will push you away and tell you to call corporate because they refuse to tell you even an ounce of information about their error.
Ok location but they dont carry most of the items that should be regularly available. They are always sending me to the bigger stores. It is also hard to find personnel to assist you with a purchase.

Items that showed in stock online for the store were not in stock at the store. Hard to find someone to help you even though a lot of people are around lousing shelves. The cashiers are friendly. The store has a good selection of tools / hardware and is kept pretty clean.

My husband and I are DIYers and we have spent a lot of time and money at Home Depot. Usually the customer service is good but yesterday a whole different story. We went to the cabinet department of the store to inquire about some cabinets we saw on line that we were interested in installing in an investment property we recently purchased. The gentleman I spoke to initially was very polite and courteous. I was asking if the particular cabinets we saw online were in that store and the gentleman was explaining to us that no, that cabinet was only available online. Thats when we were interrupted by a person I will refer to as Mannie no Mask. I stated that I probably wouldnt order a cabinet sight unseen and he started in on this diatribe about the cabinets construction and quality. It wasnt in a helpful informative way but rather a rude and condescending way. Apparently Mannie no mask is the person that does the kitchen design layouts and ordering. No thanks. Will take my business to Lowes.

Tried curbside pickup. Very confusing. The instructions did not work with their app and finally flagged down employee and got package. People who were going in the store parked in the spots reserved for curbside pickup in spite of big signs.

This is probably the only location where almost every employee greets the customer. I was first greeted by Alex, the store manager. Then I was helped by Jim at the paint desk, and Stacey at checkout. Stacey was very engaging. The bathroom was very clean, something you dont usually see in public. The overall appearance of the store was neat which made it very easy to navigate throughout the store.
Awful experience every time I’ve been. Won’t be back.
